Egbon, why you dey fear Morocco and Senegal? grin
Actually it’s more of the way the group will turn out just in case the result tonight doesn’t favour us. A win for either Uganda or Tanzania could affect us one kind going into the last group fixture but the draw keeps both of them at a point each instead of one of them grabbing the whole 3 points

Reinforcement in midfield with Onyeka. Not bad.

Still a four-man defence but Bruno in for Zaidu. I guess this is justified with the stinker Zaidu dropped in the Tanzania game. I would have preferred a five-man defence though.

Also, I'll have preferred Chukwueze to have started ahead of Akor Adams.

Anyways, what will be will be and what will not be will not be.

Fingers crossed......
We can only hope for the best. The way we keep chopping and changing our starting 11 worries me.

same as Capeverde, i see them rising fast amongst the ranks…their foreign based players will also make a competitive team in the nearest future
When you think of ex Man U players like Nani and Patrice evra who are of Cape Verde descent it tells you the depth of talent that exists from that country.

From my keen observation so far, it's quite clear that Daniel Amokachi is a better commentator/analyst than Sunday Oliseh.

Do you agree?
Of course and experience matters too, Amokachie was a commentator in the last Afcon while oliseh na newbie wey de form experience wey e no get. 😂

based on current squad composition, im not sure this rule has hindered them at all.
Na the ojoro wey dem don start to Dey do now if you observe over the last few years they were gradually introducing the talents from the diaspora like bolassie and co meanwhile a decade ago their national team were mostly home based. Now they are becoming like Senegal and Mali that can easily bring talent from the diaspora to raise their game.

They are an Old Powerhouse. As Zaire, they were quite scary.

Some of the top stars of Belgian Football, past and present like Romeku Lukaku, Loic Openda, Emile Mpenza, Youri Tielemans are Congolese.

So DRC will always be a threat on the continent as long as they keep the bulk of the talents they have across Europe.
The Mpenza brothers Emile and Mbo were massive in the 90s omo Congo just dash Belgium so many players for free! 😂

DRC has always been a solid football nation if they expunge that non dual citizenship nonsense from their constitution they will start winning Afcon again and many other sports competitions in Africa. Talent wise they have depth both home and abroad

Mali's midfield depth is so crazy that they started 5 of them, brought in Kamory Doumbia (AM/CM) and still had Leipzig's Amadou Haidara and former Monaco lad, Mohamed Camara on the bench.

Such depth.
Teams like Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast even Burkina Faso and Guinea all seems to produce good and quality midfielders, very enviable

What the hell is our west African francophone brothers doing? They are getting something right there honestly
