Stumbled upon this and kept wondering..... is it just the usual dog whistle from the right or is there more to it. 1 in 5 new cars are paid by the common purse. I remember looking at my car invoice and scratching my head on noticing that about 8k of what I paid was for VAT. Meanwhile someone out there is putting 8k down and being handed a new car that's more expensive than mine. More annoyingly is that 8k might be savings from other benefits. We go dey alright last last
that's why ILR is increasing to 10 years, before una(migrants) go buy all the new cars finish for this UK. You came for their jobs, then benefits and una wan add car join am haba na only una waka come?
I know I get beef with am because of certain antics of his, but hmmm. I hope Okoye won't get jittery again if he has to step in.
He was limping for some part of the match with Gabon after one of those his stunts I even thought he will be subbed. Won’t be surprised if he doesn’t achieve full fitness. That one na self harm for himself cause no body send am message to dribble anybody
He actually refused to be subbed in the Gabon game perhaps seeing the risk to his starting place
Bossoflife25: Those who made these rules said he can play. Who is anybody to say no? lol! The yellow card during the real qualifiers will be carried over into the 4 nations tourney. If the player had received a 2 yellow maybe against Benin then he would have missed the first match of the 4 nation tourney. But the yellow card received during the 4 nations tourney does not count. Simple!
Bossoflife25: CAF and FIFA wrote to the NFF that Ndidi can play yet you are .... I don't understand you people oo. You want your best player to miss a crucial game cos of who? What if Onyeka get injured during the game? Do you really think Onyedika can partner Iwobi in a 442? lol! For me Onyedika will play the Iwobi role better than Iwobi not the other way. Only Ndidi and Onyeka can play that role in a 442!
If Ndidi won't play maybe due to injury, then I would rather partner Onyeka and Onyedika. Go rewatch our friendlies with Mozambique when they both played together. It was simply beautiful to watch!
The problem is when we win tomorrow with Ndidi playing, Congo will easily cite those statues in their protest letter and contest it all the way if possible to CAS despite whatever letter FIFA has written to CAF so why go all the way with such drama. I know how important Ndidi is but is it worth all those stress especially seeing all what transpired with SA during the wcq and how long it took fifa before finally deducting those points despite all the protest from SA saying Lesotho never raised any issue initially.
Some people are still beefing us despite how clear the rules were for making it to the playoffs at expense of Burkina Faso and other countries. Let’s just play safe please!
mrwilliams9: Osimhen might break Yekini's goal record by the time AFCON is over...but let's be honest, 37 goals as the highest goal scorer for a nation like Nigeria is quite low. Eto is Cameroon's highest goal scorer with 51. Salah is on 61 goals for Egypt, Drogba had 65 by the time he retired.
I think SE has had an issue in building teams with longevity. From tournament to tournament, things are always changing.
Honestly, Osimhen can break the African goal-scoring record (79 goals) held by Godfrey Chitalu from Zambia. Between AFCONQ, AFCON, WCQ and WC, games dey.
How many international games do you think African teams play ? Afcon used to be a 12 nation tournament before increasing to 16 and 24 today. Also back in the day only 2 or 3 African teams can qualify for the World Cup, it was even in recent years Africa teams were now having more international friendly games due to planned international breaks which afforded the likes of drogba and Salah to increase their tally.
Secondly it just shows the eagles haven’t got a talisman as a striker in a very long time until osihmen came to the scene so it’s a combination of several factors from the number of available games to the quality and longevity of strikers in the national team. It’s a mix bag and not an indictment on any team.
lbrichman2: We need to score within the first 20 minutes It will calm our nerves and we can play our game.. And if congo come out to play, they will leave gaps for us to exploit with our fast forwards
From what I saw in their game yesterday, they won't really come out to play. They will adopt the Gabonese approach, likely, sitting deep and letting us come out so they can counterattack. They will also try to take advantage of set pieces, so we must watch them closely
QueenJazz: The whole of Twitter and Reddit is backing DR Congo to beat Nigeria. Few of them are the usual underdog advocates, but it seems the majority are the usual suspects (Ghana, SA etc) 😂
I'm still not sure what it is about Nigeria that makes practically every nation want to beef us. 😂😂
I'm also seeing people online trying to gaslight us that Gabon is not as good as DRC, like they weren't hyping Aubameyang et al to the highest heavens before we snatched their chain on national television.
Let Super Eagles just lock in and do this for me abeg. I'm going to be insufferable on Twitter for the rest of the year. 🤧
We are the Giant of Africa, no matter the contest and how bad Nigeria is that title remains forever.
We are always a threat to the dominance of other nations and that’s why they beef us.
Mujtahida: Shey you see how he makes every game about himself attracting negative PR. and agents are watching. Maybe he has no desire to leave Chippa United.
Honestly he has finally lost me as a fan. Anything wey e see make e collect am like that. I thought Uzoho should be a proven case study for any Nigerian goalkeeper but if he feels like picking his village people call finally na im sabi
lbrichman2: The way Nwabali is going, it's almost inevitable.. Na why he no wan comot yesterday after that small knock wey him get.. Dude reason am say, if Okoye collect this shirt, I fit no see am collect again o
🤣🤣🤣
e go clear for e eye very soon, until yesterday I had always supported Nwabali, but now I no send again. Na so e predecessor lose im position too
CornOak: This is worrying though. How come most of these players don't know the key details of a match before the game day?
Who's in charge of communicating these important messages to them?
Today, Osimhen wasn't aware there would be an extra time after a full time draw, while in the game against Benin last month, they didn't know we had to score 4 goals to stand a chance at the playoffs. This showed why Nwabali was wasting time after our third goal. 🙄
We need to do better in this regard.
It’s a shame that even fans know more details than our players. But our players sef shebi they are all on social media so why are they too that ignorant? Abi na only comedy skits dem Dey watch? Haba
SymphonyRad: Benjamin Federick individual highlights vs Gabon
Omo, we've really unearthed a true gem in this kid...and the future looks promising with the likes of Vince Osuji, Akinsamir, Tebo Uchenna etc already in the picture
This boy na rock of Gibraltar and he seems to know where every of his teammate is on the pitch per second. The boy is either extraordinary or supernatural. In summary na winch 😂
mrwilliams9: Where was this version of the Super Eagles in our matches against Zim, Lesotho and SA?
Had we played like this we’d have qualified a long time ago.
That first half is probably the best I’ve seen Naija play in years.
It was too sweet and catchy to the eyes, you'll think it's another set of players. The last time I saw something similar was in the Confederations Cup years ago against Spain, with Mikel bossing the midfield despite us losing that game; that was another spectacle by the Eagles
TheGoodJoe: It is not by abuse. Unless you believe Osimhen is the finished article, a call for him to keep improving is actually a good thing.
Finito.
Don’t stress yourself Oga Joe, every criticism on osihmen tonight apart from name calling is well justified. We all saw the game glad he redeemed himself but he almost cost us and if anyone is emotional that’s their cup of tea.
As a huge fan of the player I know he should have done better earlier before he got those two goals. I hope he too with watch tonight’s game and make amends ahead for Sunday game
