yea i agree you can make atleast N500k per annum with this business but you can grow as big as u want. We currently make the excess of N100k per month, considering the competitions here (i can easily count nothing less than 10 laundry services here) and we have no plan for expansion (as we are leaving ilorin nxt yr). U determine how big you want to be and the risk is minimial, there is a complex arnd me that has beer parlour, tailor, boutique, provision store, laundary etc. Four years after the complex was built, the whole place is weedy with only the laundary is still running. |
eminikansoso:thanx a lot |
nothing is sure but u can do the two. Let me break it down, look for admission into a federal university. After paying ur sch. Fees, u will still have a large part of the money to start a biz that will not take all ur time in sch.(there are many biz u can do in skul as u study). Fast forward to 4 or 5 yrs, u would have gotten ur certificate(u can start looking for well paid job) and you would have saved some money to start ur dream biz(nd i believe u will b more experienced). How about eating ur cake and having it? |
@op...nice info sir. I have a little experience in dry cleaning biz and am planning to start one in ibadan. Abt d generator, i think the steam engine (uses diesel) is the best because it gives room for expansion, a good one can carry 3 pressing irons plus the washing machine conveniently. Another thing i observed in this biz is you must have a good packaging and branding, they set u apart. Another is pricing, dont price ursef too low when starting (it is difficult to adjust the price once ur clients are used to a particular price) but u can give discount to attract ur customers. Also not too high. Also you cannot do without bookkeeping and record keeping That is my contribution for now sir, hw much does a good dryer goes for? |
sureway1, i really like the way u r thinking...i have to agree with some posters that the 19800 makes it difficult for an average corper to save but the truth is saving is never easy even if the allawi. Even if the allawi is increased to 50k, a large percentage of corpers will still not save due to some lifesyle...just imagine a corper that drink an average of a bottle of beer per day, that 6k per month already. My advice is for corpers is to *make a budget and follow it religiously *cut ur expenses to the minimum, erase unneccessary expenses *dont save ur excess money in ur saving acct, you may yield to the temptation of spending (one thing i hate abt ATM) *save what will not ur life too miserable. In short, there is no rules to saving. It depends on ur focus and determination (plus what and how u r planning ur life after service) |
in terms of quality of service and not promo, it all depends on ur location. For me, it is in dis order....MTN > etisalat > glo > airtel |

paulGrundy:wow...christians sure know how to paint the picture of their 'merciful' god. Just read ur post very well. He sent them delusion that they believe a lie so he can destroy them, abi? Even if am to believe in a god...it will not be a tyrant |
