Martz101: I'm not a shehu advocate, his a good player but not a right back, we can't have a world-class right back in ebuehi and start him.
Ebuehi reminds of Bale when he plays in the left back position, Ebuehi is GOLD Fact is that Ebuehi appears more comfortable playing in a 3-5-2 formation as the wing back than the conservative flat back 4. I think this could the reason why Shehu still starts ahead of him. |

tbaba1234: Rohr also said that Joel Obi is unfit and that some players were 'heavy'.. ( maybe Onazi?) Onazi is totally out of shape. I was attacked for saying this some time ago but I have never seen a footballer with "spare tire" at the back of his neck. The guy is not serious. |

safarigirl: he stopped some grounders before that Kane one entered, he even got the ball, but it still went past.
Like I said, go and preach to Enyeama. Save 30, let in 3, we lose, but you are lot are focused on the 30 he saved every time......but it is Uzoho, so let us forget the 10 saves and focus on one maybe you missed reading where I lauded him for doing well. You seem to have have focused only on the part I pointed out his error for the second goal because he has entered in your not to be criticized list. |

Icon79: Bros, calm down. Uzoho impressed me today actually. Frankly, I wouldn't blame him for any of the goals. The second goal was a bullet shot from a top striker, not many keepers can keep that out. Personally, Uzoho wouldn't be my preferred keeper if we have lots of options, but right now he's the best man for the job.
O pari why is it that the bar is usually lowered when certain players are mentioned? I say this because you were resolute in criticizing Femi Thomas in the Atheletico game but here you are lowering the standard for Uzoho. I never said he had a bad game but errors like the second goal have proved to be the difference in the final result. |

safarigirl: go and preach to Enyeama.
He would make 30 good saves, but his errors cost the team at certain points. You are only making this raucous because it is Uzoho, if say na Enyeama collect like this (which he most likely would have), you would not be making this much noise.
Anyway, the boy did good to many of us, let the few people who want to criticize, carry on. if he doesn't improve on stopping grounders, come world cup, he will most likely do you and others proud and while Nigeria loose. |

KK555: The young man actually saved Nigeria tonight. If a goal keeper keeps you in the match, it shows how consistent the pressures from the opponent were. Uzoho and Iwobi did well. Mikel did better in the second half. Ogu brought some calm. Ebuehi brought in some degree of unpredictability. His runs distabilised the English.
If your midfield is consistently porous, it,ll only be a matter of time before the ball lands in the net no matter how good your keeper is. Uzoho did well and should be the no 1 goalie. OGa this is football. If you cant hold your goalkeeper accountable for letting in a cheap goal under his arm, then we might as well give everyone on the team a free pass including Onazi. Why do you think the goalkeeping spot is the most sensitive in the team hence, the call for an experienced head to "man" the post. A goalkeeper can make 20 good saves but one error can undo the good he did all game, especially if it costs his team vital points. |

Odunayaw: He didn't do well but I don't believe the game would have been 1-1 if he saved it.
I agree he needs a bit of polish Technically, the game would have ended 1; 1 because England didn't score again. |

safarigirl: you said top goalie, not world class
How many countries are going to Russia with 'world class' goalies and how many of these 'world class' goalies are 20? So youre suggesting Uzoho should be dropped because no country is going to the world cup with a 20 yr old world class goalkeeper? I don't get you |

Goke7: I agree with you, same thing happened against serbia, again it's down to confidence, these boys are lacking in confidence in our first half games and it's worrying. if uzoho had played in the first half in the argentina game, he would have conceded Some people are afraid to admit it, but Uzoho is very bad a grounders. Trust our world cup opponents to test him with alot of grounders. An exam I'm afraid of the result. |

Odunayaw: Look,I understand what you're saying but I don't agree with "it could have been 1:1 if..."
It could have been 1-0 if Enyeama hadn't gifted Pogba the ball, is this statement fair? If you were the goalkeeper coach, will you look at that 2nd goal and tell him, he did well? |

safarigirl: it is not his fault that the attack was blunt. Top goalies have done worse.
Look at Karius for instance Karius is an example of top goalie? Uzoho did well but he could have done better to prevent that goal. |

nelszx: Him and Joel play long balls to nobody in particular and dash opponents ball to scored. Onazi runs everywhere and give out space see how the English midfield were pass straight to the attack nobody no intercept and you wonder what the 2 DMs were doing. Joel and Onazi one should go back to their club (very very very poor from them). With Ndidi back he should partner Ogu I swear our mf would be complete. This is why I regret why Agbo wasnt given a fair chance. He may have been better than some of those we have currently. |

safarigirl: which Uzoho? If not for Uzoho, una for chop 5 for first half.
It's not every time you blame the youngest player. The guy did very well, he almost caught that second goal sef He did well. I must admit, he has improved but still, a top goalie should be saving that 2nd goal. If nobody blames him, he won't improve. Period |

Odunayaw: let the boy be, its not like other goals wouldn't have gone in the first half. Of course, having a bad team and a very good goalkeeper, is just about delaying the inevitable but in this case, if his reflexes was sharper, he should have stopped that ball because it slipped right under him. If we can't accept this much, it means we have really low expectations of those representing you and me. |

This game could have ended 1:1 if not for Uzoho's error. This is why you need a top goalie, they usually make the difference. |
