You know how much power Neymar and Ibra have?? Watch Tuchel's presser...the first thing is said when he was asked about how Neymar is "special players get treated differently". Emery wanted to play a 4-2-3-1 at PSG but the players disagreed and went to tell Nasser so he switched to a 4-3-3. The egos in that club is crazy. Even Mou eventually started struggling with Egos at Madrid and he's a bigger coach!
I saw the video of Tuchel emerging from the meeting with Neymar. It had the semblance of a newly appointed ambassador presenting his credentials to Queen Elizabeth at queen's court.
Neymar is in charge at PSG.

Rwanda is one of the sponsors on the new Arsenal Jersey. Trying to boost their tourism industry... 'Visit Rwanda' is boldly written on the arms of the Jersey. I expect, they will get a major boost in Tourism.
Apparently Kigame might have scored an own goal with that move. As the Brits are pushing for their government to cut foreign aids to Rwanda.
Some moves are just ill conceived. This contract could be one of such example.

If Athletico played like that against a full strength Nigerian squad, They will lose. It is easy to score when you want against the players that they played against. It will be harder against more seasoned pros.
I dont know why you guys are trying so hard to beat down the performance of the Nigerian boys against Athletico by these suggestive posts. For goodness sake, our main team huffed and puffed against Corsica.
Football is not mathematics, you cannot tell what will happen on match day. I recall how people here stuck out their necks and swore to almighty God that SA will not beat us.

but he plays there for Hull city this past season....?

bro... watch this guys play a reasonable opponet who really wanna win games before you start hype them...
me impressed but not to the point of hyping them...still remember the foolish games they played in CHAN especially in the final most of the goals today were individual brilliance from.the foreign legions... just take a look at how wasteful the NPFL strikers were.....

please sayn aina should be benched for an NPFL player whose club barely gets to the CAF league knock out stages.... is taking these excitement too far.
I dont watch Coca Cola championship but from reports, he had some good games and some pretty bad games at Left back. For the super eagles, he hasn't done anything remotely positive in that position. You will be shocked how terrible he was if you re watch that game against Algeria in Blida.

I still remember how they got embarrassed during the Chan final.... the home lads of Morocco ran riot on them...
please don't pull down aina to promote a player who can't stand the heat
Does Aina look comfortable to you playing at left back so far in his few caps? Suggesting he is moved over to RB where is mostly comfortable as a right footer is what you call putting down?

More deserving? How so?
First of all, they have the desire and passion to play for the team much more than a guy you go cap in hand and roll the red carpet for. And for reference purposes, I will like that Enyimba left back given a chance to fight for the left back position while Aina moves over to the rich back to slug it out with Ebuehi, then Shehu takes over from Ogu. Aina has hoofed and puffed in the left back position so far in his super eagles career. While Idowu's body language smarks the ambiance of a guy who is not in this for the long run. I say this because he often looks isolated and cold socially among the group. Maybe, I'm thinking too much but this is just my observation so far.

The Main Super Eagles team will tear this Athletico team to shreds. Take that from me.
You cant say this with so much certainty. The South African team that embarrassed us in the same stadium are not in the level of the Gameros,Torres, Gabi, Oblak,Corea, Thomas, Vitolo et all. Also, most of the players on parade for Athletico will walk into the Serbia team that ran rings round us in London.
Just say you were pleasantly surprised.

Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali's outstanding display in the 3-2 loss to Atlético de Madrid in a friendly on Tuesday evening got Super Eagles fans talking.

Apart from netting a very beautiful opening goal from outside the box, the former Flying Eagles skipper's dazzling skills were put on display in Uyo and Atlético Madrid's Ghana international Thomas Partey resorted to being aggressive in order to stop him.

Though Super Eagles fans have questioned the decision to omit Kelechi Nwakali from Nigeria's 30-man preliminary World Cup roster, he still has a chance of playing in the tournament, only if one of the 23 players heading to Russia suffers an injury.

Here's what the Super Eagles fans said about the performance of Kelechi Nwakali :

@J_asmineA : ''If they can take him to world cup seff.. Add kelechi Nwakali remove anyone''.

@BoniqqUmoh : ''I have always clamoured for Kelechi Nwakali's invitation to the Super Eagles, dude is class...way better than most of our current midfielders...@thenff pls talk to Rohr, that's Mikel's heir apparent ryt there,am trembling, saw hs sublime passes & screamer?''.

@AObilana : ''Hmmmm the highlight of Kelechi Nwakali goal I just watched is giving me joy. What if this young man gets on the world cup list ahead of Ihenacho or Iwobi?''

@ujagadom : ''Kelechi Nwakali ought to be in Rohr's @thenff #Russia2018 list''.

@jayson_1010 : ''Shuld be in the WC list!!! Classic goal Great performance #SuperEagles''.

@sirwebs : ''Why is Kelechi Nwakali not going to Russia @thenff ?''.

@DonbayTips : ''I am loving this kelechi Nwakali All the way bro #RUSSIA2018''.

@fabianobi : ''Kelechi Nwakali the only football player in @NGSuperEagles team in this match Drop all this ***''.

@fillskuku : ''Is it not too late to add kelechi nwakali to Russia bound squad.''

@Temidayojnr : ''Kelechi Nwakali is a very good player.''

@Dr_Xcizzie : ''I think Kelechi Nwakali should be on the super eagles team to the world cup, as back up.''

@Debizzzle : ''#Kelechi nwakali should pls replace onazi on that list Asap "super eagles" #NigAtl''.

@cam14uche : ''@NGSuperEagles coach please check your world Cup list again @KelechiNwakali have to be there, he deserves it, no player in the National team midfield expect mikel Obi can fit to his standard, please give him a chance''.

@otuya_m : '' hope there is space for @Kelechi_nwakali to make the #WorldCup else our coach should drop one of the midfielders cos this dude is the missing link..''

@IamSEGE : ''Kelechi Nwakali should be at the WorldCup''.

@MrSangotoki : ''Kelechi Nwakali is a star for the present and future''.

@JustEkene : ''Kelechi Nwakali should be on the plane to Russia. He’s world class!''.

@Paulanyanwu24 : ''Kelechi nwakali should replace uche agbo immdiately''.

@OhioPerry : ''Kelechi Nwakali should be in Russia''.

the hype don start hahahahahahahahahaha! make we no rush this young man abeg ooooo
The bants have already begun. This team's display have really put Gernot Rohr under pressure. Anything less than an impressive showing in Russia, questions will be asked why certain players weren't given a chance.
Nigerians outside Nairaland are ridiculously demanding of the Super Eagles.

Maybe it is just me but,Thomas Partey didnt play like a guy on on vacation. He played with as much intensity as I have seen him play in a champions league game,Corea as well.... Also Diego Simione's game face wasnt that of a disinterested fellow.

Yes it was an exhibition game but there wasnt a lack of desire and intensity like most commenters would like us to believe. The game wouldn't have been that enjoyable if those vital ingredients were absent in the match.

Kudos to the guys. I must say I didnt expect to watch something this beautiful against a side who train everyday while the Nigerians barely meet themselves the first time 3 days ago.
Maximum respect to Diego Simione and Athletico who showed respect to the opposition by playing his best available squad and making a genuine attempt to win the game.
I honestly do not envy Gernot Rohr at this point, Nigerians have been been spoilt by the free flowing football on display in this game. If his team serves up a knee jerking performance at the world cup, Nigerian fans will take him to the cleaners.

If you believe me fine if you don't believe me fine.

I am a Barca fan and I can least about 7 average players in my team, just because a club is Madrid doesn't mean they can't have average players.

Lucas Vasquez 33 matches 4 goals 8 assis

Garerh bale 26 games and lesser minute 16 goals and 4 assists

I don't have much to say

One love
Why didnt your club win the Champions League back to back and make the finals on the 3rd one with those superior players?
Vasquez has been under the radar that fans (most especially) recognize Isco and Asensio more than they appreciate Vasquez who is Zidane' s goto guy when the team is in trouble.
By the way, I am indifferent about Real Madrid. I'm neither a fan nor do I hate them.

Bros anybody can win champions league,a bench warmer get medal so don't get me wrong.

Even vermaleen who was injured all season for Barca got a medal 2015 when Barca won it,so all Madrid players are World class?

How do you watch your own football?

Even Luca zidane the son of zidane got a champions league medal,I doubt you know he is Madrid 3rd choice.

Marc Bartra got a champions league is he world class ?

Bros how u dey use watch you ball ? So anybody who win champions Lague is world class?

I raise my hand for you
The penalty awarded to the Galician against Juventus was his fourth this season. Only Cristiano Ronaldo has been directly involved in more goals in 2017-18.

Lucas Vázquez proved decisive in the Champions League quarter-finals against Juventus, something that has become habitual this season in the 26-year-old winger.

The penalty awarded against the Serie A champions was the fourth the Galician has earned for Real Madrid this season after two against Numancia in the Copa del Rey and another in LaLiga away at Las Palmas. Behind Vázquez come Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale, with two each, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, Theo Hernández and Achraf Hakimi, who have all seen the referee point to the spot once in 2017-18.
That means that Vázquez accounts for 29 percent of Reals penalties this season. With eight goals he is Reals fifth-highest scorer and no player has assisted more goals than the wingers 10. Benzema has nine and Ronaldo and Isco eight each.

Taking into account his penalty awards, all of which were converted, Vázquez has had a direct hand in 22 goals for Real Madrid this season, a mark only bettered by Ronaldo, who has participated in 48.

Vázquezs return stands above Bale (21), Benzema (19), Asensio and Isco (15) and Kroos (13).
How many average players in the world can you point me to with identical stats? I will wait.

Vasquez is average and not the most underrated player in Europe,he plays for Madrid,I always tell people morata is average but they argue with me because he is a Madrid player, now how do you see him at Chelsea ? When you play for Madrid or Barca many things are covered.

Yes he deserved to be in the Spanish squad because Pedro Morata and vitolo are below par.

The most underrated Spanish players are suso of ac Milan and Luis Alberto of lazio,go and check the stats of Luis Alberto and come and thank me .

Asensio is an average player,he is not constitent trust me I am a die hard football fan
Over the course of the campaign it has been Cristiano Ronaldo's goals and Sergio Ramos' defensive ability which the team have had to thank, yet Vazquez's versatility can now be added to that list with his mature display the difference in Bavaria.
To win the Champions League, you need good fortune and a squad of players who can contribute at the most crucial moments.
The Spanish midfielder contributed in Munich, especially in a match which the hosts dominated statistically. He worked diligently down the right hand side before his versatility was tested further when Dani Carvajal suffered a thigh injury.
With the right-back determined to stay on the pitch, Vazquez encouraged him to sit in a forward position as he covered the defensive responsibilities.
Once it became apparent that the former Bayer Leverkusen defender couldn't continue, Zinedine Zidane introduced Karim Benzema with Vazquez pushed to right-back.
He then faced a challenging period where he had to keep Franck Ribery at bay with the German champions creating a number of chances in the latter stages of the contest.
Eyebrows were raised when the former Espanyol midfielder was handed a starting spot at the expense of both Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio, yet it will be remembered as a masterstroke.
Vazquez has been a key figure in Los Blancos' knockout stage matches thus far, he was a decisive substitute against Paris-Saint Germain and will be a deserving winner of the Champions League, if the holders manage to win the tournament for a third successive season.....Marca
This is what they think of him at Marca. Any tactically savvy football lover cannot deny what he brings to the table. But average can be relative anyway.

I actually think Lucas Vasquez is the most underrated player in Europe. Nobody talks about him(no thanks to the more fashionable Isco and Asensio), but he's very efficient in the job he does for Madrid. The width he affords Madrid is so vital to Madrid's counter attacking game especially in Champions League matches. He brings the best out of other players around him. I'm not surprised hes in te Spanish squad, totally deserved. (Liverpool beware)

Probably Alhaji Gero bought a nice wrist watch for Dan Amokachi...... The only logical reason I can come up with why he would recommend such a talentless player for the national team.

Nigeria need more than Odion Ighalo in Russia, says Daniel Amokachi

Former Nigeria forward Daniel Amokachi has pointed at Nigeria's weak area which needs to be worked on going to the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.
Gernot Rohr's powered in 11 goals during the qualifying series, but the former Everton star is worried over the absence of a prominent figure in the attacking setup.
Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo, Alex Iwobi, Junior Lokosa, Simeon Nwankwo, Victor Moses and Moses Simeon make up the attacking lineup of the Super Eagles' 30-man provisional list.

“The qualification was the first step and we did it with ease. There is a lot of work to be done because the qualifier is a different ball game from the World Cup proper,” Amokachi told Goal.
“The most important thing now is to work on our no. 9. We are struggling with a no.

“The only number 9 I think that we have is Alhaji Gero who plays in the Swedish league.
“He is doing wonderfully well and I think he's a much better player to be on the waiting list. I don't know him from jack but I see him play and I know he's a damn good no. 9.
“The only no. 9 we have is Odion Ighalo but we still need another because the no. 9 has done a whole lot from generation till date."
