Your Response is Important - Wednesday, March 15th Pastor Chris And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32). God’s Word requires your response. Some Christians haven’t realized this; they don’t know what the Word is for. Imagine that when the elders of the church at Ephesus got the message in our opening verse from the Apostle Paul, they went home saying, “O, I love what he said.” That wouldn’t have changed their lives or their situation. Someone could tell you he has a gift for you and you’d be happy at the gesture. Though you haven’t received the gift, you may probably say to the person, “I’m so happy about what you’ve said; it’s a blessing to me.” You were blessed just because of what the person said; that’s because we can be blessed by words. The Word of God, certainly, will bless you, but it doesn’t mean you’ll walk in the light of the blessing it conveys. You’d have to respond by affirming the same thing in consent: “He hath said…so that we might boldly say…” (Hebrews 13:5-6). The purpose of commending you to the Word is for the Word to build you up; the Word has the ability to do it. Now, your response should be, “The Word is building me up. Every time I hear and study the Scriptures, I’m transformed, elevated, energized, and my faith is built strong.” The moment this becomes a reality in your spirit, all you see will be strength, victory, progress, and endless possibilities. You’ll discover that you’re getting stronger and wiser by the day through the Word. He gave us His Word so we can see, apprehend, and affirm all that freely belongs to us in Christ Jesus. Confession... I’m what God says I am. I accept and walk in the light of His Word concerning my salvation, righteousness, divine health, prosperity, and protection. I’ve overcome the world, because the greater One lives in me, and He causes me to triumph everywhere, and flourish in all I do. Glory to God! Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Frame Your World - Tuesday, March 14th . Pastor Chris Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3). The verse above is so powerful! To get the full import of its message, let’s take a closer look at some of the key words. The first one is “worlds,” which is translated from the Greek word, “aion.” Aion refers to the course of life: how things go with you and how they work around you. It refers to the world as it is: its systems and directions—the different eras, like you’d say, “the life and times of Mr James,” or “The era of the Roman emperors,” the age, or successive ages of men or societies. Another key term is “word,” which is rendered “rhema” in Greek. Rhema refers to the Word that God speaks, which He addresses directly to the human spirit. It’s different from the “Logos” of God, which created the world: “In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos) was God” (John 1:1). Our opening verse, however, isn’t talking about the creation of all things. It says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God….” This is talking about your life and your “aion”: using your faith to frame, repair, arrange, or fashion your life and your world to synchronize with God’s perfect will. This was what the great elders of faith did: They “framed” their world by the Word (Rhema) of God. That’s another key word: “framed,” which is from the Greek, “katartizo.” It means to mend, to fix, to set in order, to arrange, and to fashion. The elders of faith received the “Rhema” of God, and corrected, fashioned their times with “Rhema”—the spoken Word. The Lord Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). That’s “Rhema.” When God speaks His Word to your heart, He’s giving you “Rhema” and He expects you to declare it. Use it to frame your life and your future. Confession... The Lord has given me control over everything that concerns me. I refuse to be a victim, but live in the victory and authority I have in Christ. My faith grows strong as I give my heart to the Word, making me unshakeable and immovable at all times. Hallelujah! Further Study: Romans 10:8 But what saith it? Don't Play Light On Speaking in Tongues - Monday, March 13. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church (1 Corinthians 14:4). Speaking in tongues is so important for us as Christians. The Bible says, “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing…” (Isaiah 28:11-12). Peter describes it as “…the times of refreshing….” (Acts 3:19). There’s refreshing, rejuvenation, and flourishing for the one who consistently speaks in tongues. Also, speaking in tongues improves you. The Amplified version of our opening verse says, “He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself….” When you speak in tongues, you become sensitive to spiritual realities; you’re synchronised with the Spirit, and His voice becomes clear to you. Some people say they don’t know when God is talking to them. If they’ll speak in tongues, their spirits will become sensitive to God, to hear and understand His Word. Another important benefit of speaking in tongues is the purification of your faith. Jude 1:20 says, “But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit” (AMP). Your most holy faith is your most sanctified faith; unalloyed faith, devoid of doubt or fear. It’s your highest, purest, and best expression of your faith so far. God expects you to build on that “most holy faith” through speaking in tongues. The Apostle Paul revealed speaking in tongues as one of his secrets of success in ministry. He was bold to tell the Corinthian church, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). It goes to show how much he spoke in tongues. No wonder, he was so successful. Choose to speak in tongues more than ever. Edify your spirit. Improve yourself spiritually. Flourish and make progress in your life, with speaking in tongues! Confession... I flourish daily like the palm tree, because I’m continually filled with the Spirit. As I speak in tongues even now, I’m edified; my spirit is lifted to function from a vantage position of boldness, audacity and victory in Christ Jesus. I don’t struggle, but enjoy unstoppable growth and progress as I receive guidance and light from the Lord. Hallelujah! Further Study: 1 Corinthians 14:2 AMP For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning, because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding]. Subject your feelings to the Word - Sunday, March 12 Pastor Chris . That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9). When you ask some Christians, “How do you know you’re saved?” they’d say, “I now feel close to God”; but that’s wrong. Salvation or being born again has nothing to do with how you feel. That you “feel” close to God doesn’t make you any closer to Him than another Christian who may not “feel” that way. It’s got nothing to do with feelings; it’s a matter of faith. The Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith...” (Ephesians 2: . We’re not products of our feelings or what our minds tell us; we’re who and what God says we are.Refuse to be ruled by your feelings and emotions. Refuse to be dominated by your physical senses. Part of Satan’s stratagems is to make people slaves to their feelings. This is why you must “fight” your feelings. Subject your feelings to the dominion of God’s Word. With respect to salvation, the Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of your life, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, salvation is yours. You’re catapulted from the kingdom of darkness into Light (Romans 10:9). Straightaway, you’re born again with the life and nature of God in your spirit. The Word of God is the proof that you’re born again, not your feelings. Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” Feelings are deceptive; they change with situations and circumstances, but God’s Word is immutable. Believe, accept, and live by God’s Word only. Prayer... Dear Father, I thank you for ushering me into a life that’s beyond the ordinary plane of natural perception. I flourish in the blessings of salvation— deliverance, divine health, preservation, prosperity and wholeness—consummated for me by the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 8:5-9 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:12-15 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Mark 15:1-20 Numbers 32-33 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Matthew 22:15-22 exodus 21 |
Your Position And Authority In Him - Saturday, March 11th Pastor Chris And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). The Wuest translation gives an excellent rendering of Ephesians 1:21. It tells us that Jesus is “over and above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name that is constantly being named, not only in this age, but also in the one about to come.” There’s so much that we can do when we apply the deep truth revealed in the verse above. Many Christians have been quiet about too many things, living as though they’re hamstrung or victims in life. If only they’d discover their position and ability in Christ, the glory and power they wield in His Name, things will be different. We’re seated with Christ in the place of power, in a position of authority. This isn’t a fairy tale. We have His dominion. He’s given you the legal right, as well as the ability to use His Name as an instrument. That Name is greater than every government, or institution, name or title that could be conferred, both in this world and in the world to come. Jesus Christ is LORD over all, and the God of all flesh. With this knowledge, you can, and should, put a stop to the wars, epidemics, wickedness, perils, and havocs the devil and his cohorts concoct around the world. Psalm 46:9 says, “He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth….”Putting a stop to these things is simple. Jesus said, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:19). Put this to work. We’re the ones in charge! Use the authority and power of His Name in the prayer of agreement to make your life glorious. Use it to install peace in your home, neighbourhood, city, and country. Use it to carry out the works of righteousness, and establish the will of God in your world. Come together with a fellow believer or maybe your spouse and agree on something you want done, or a situation you want changed. Decree in the Name of Jesus, the specific changes you want, on the basis of your position and authority in Christ, and you’ll have a testimony. Glory to God! Prayer... Dear Father, I thank you for my position, authority and ability in Christ! I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all the hardships, troubles, perils and corrupting influences in the world. I dominate and triumph over circumstances today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Fasting influences you - Not God - Friday, March 10th . Pastor Chris Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Daniel 10:12). The important thing about fasting is the “purpose” of the fast. There’re those who emphasize fasting for long periods, like forty days, the way Jesus did. Well, the quality of a fast isn’t so much the longevity as it is the purpose. Some people erroneously think that the longer the fast, the more God is moved to answer them; no! God isn’t altered or influenced by your fasting. Your fasting only influences and affects you. Fasting helps you to become more conscious of the divine nature in you. I’m not talking about the kind of fast that’s done amidst all the distractions imaginable, but the kind where the flesh is completely subdued. I’m referring to the kind where you separate yourself from the rest of the world and spend time to pray, study, and meditate on God’s Word. At such times, it becomes easy for the Lord to get your attention, minister to you, and transform your life, because your affection is fully set on Him. Through this kind of purposeful fasting, your spirit stands up like a giant; your humanity or the influence of the flesh wanes and your divinity rises. At such a time, when you utter a word, it transcends the arena of the human mind; it proceeds from your spirit with the potency and energy of the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah! Prayer... Precious Lord, my heart rejoices at your Word today. I’m launched into higher realms of prosperity, blessings and glory. I walk in your perfect will for me, because I’m led by your Spirit from within, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study : Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. The Blessings and Privilege Of Prayer - Thursday, a March 9 Pastor Chris And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1). The victorious and triumphant life, which is God-ordained, and His will for you in Christ, isn’t really possible without prayer. The Bible says, “...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Christians who don’t take advantage of the blessings and privilege that prayer provides easily become victims in life. Prayer is a privilege, as well as a right given to us to approach the Father in faith through His Word, and by the Holy Spirit. That opportunity of fellowship is something the Father always wants us to seize and take advantage of. In Luke 18:1, Jesus said, “…men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” The ensuing parable He told emphasized the connection we have with the Father in our constant communication that builds faith. It’s one of the beautiful benefits of prayer, in addition to the conditioning of your spirit. Thus, you need to be a praying Christian, and not a “playing” Christian; take your prayer life and routine seriously. Prayer isn’t something you do when you have a need. That’s where a lot of people have missed it. They see prayer as the avenue to ask God for things, whereas, fellowship—deep communion with the Spirit—is the higher purpose of prayer. When you commit to spending time in fellowship with the Lord, you’ll always be synchronized with the Holy Spirit; His will and purpose will be clear to you. The power and import of prayer isn’t so much in the answers we get when we pray as it is the impact it has on our spirits. Understand that before you ask, God hears you. However, there’s something about prayer, especially praying in tongues, that affects your spirit and causes it to glow. When you pray in tongues often, the glory of God is revealed in your inner man, causing you to function with divine wisdom. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the privilege of prayer and the tremendous blessings and impact it brings to my spirit. My spirit, through fellowship with you is conditioned to know and walk in your perfect will, and manifest excellence always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. The Right Way To Worship - Wednesday, March 8th . Pastor Chris But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). There’s the right way to worship God. You can’t worship Him the way you choose and expect that He’ll accept it. For example, Genesis 4 tells us how two men—Cain and Abel—the sons of Adam and Eve offered sacrifices to God. Cain brought an offering to God from the produce of his farm; he offered to God what he thought was okay, instead of what God had asked for. Abel, on the other hand, offered what God demanded and his sacrifice was accepted. You don’t give to God what you think you have; you give Him what He demands of you. It’s the same with worship. It’s important that you walk in the light of God’s Word, doing exactly what He wants. Just because something seems nice doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to God. You might have heard some people say, “Well, anybody can worship any way he chooses; I can decide to keep quiet and worship God in my mind”; that’s wrong. Yes, God knows what’s on your mind, yet Jesus said, “When you pray, say…” (Luke 11:2). He didn’t say, “…When you pray, be quiet, for God knows what’s on your mind.” In the Old Testament, when the prophets or priests prayed, the contents of their prayers were written for us, showing that they verbalised it. Most times, God instructed the Priests on what to say. In fact, when Jesus prayed, He spoke out, such that others heard Him. He didn’t merely think in His mind. It’s the same with worship; there’s a prescribed order for it. We worship God through the Spirit, and by the Word—in spirit and in truth! We lift our hands to Him, making confessions to His Name: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15). We eulogise and pour encomiums on Him for His greatness, kindness, love, mercies and grace. Hallelujah! Prayer... Dear Father, you’re worthy to receive glory, honour, and power, for you’re the greatest, and by you all things consist. You alone are God, worthy to be praised and adored! All honour, majesty, and dominion are yours, now and forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: Psalm 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The Word Of His Grace - Tuesday, March 7th . Pastor Chris And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32). Notice the opening verse doesn’t say, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his judgment…”; or “…to the word of His anger…”; no! It says, “…I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace….” What is grace? It’s God’s loving-kindness, bestowing unconditional blessings and favours, even to the undeserving. Grace is the awesome beauty of God’s character; His loving tenderness, far removed from wickedness, falsehood, darkness, and everything that damns. With grace, it’s not according to what you deserve, but according to His mercy and kindness shown you in Christ Jesus before the world began. The Word of His grace is that you’re surrounded with His love; you’re the focus of His love. There’s no judgment against you (Romans 8:1). The word of the law condemns; it’s harsh and invokes the wrath of God, yet it didn’t make men perfect (Hebrews 7:19). The law couldn’t give life. But thanks be unto God, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). We’re under the grace of the Lord Jesus; we’re being built by the Word of His grace. Give yourself completely to the Word of His grace, which has power and ability; it’s efficacious in itself and by itself to make you what it talks about. Did you notice that God didn’t say you should “build yourself with the Word”; rather, He says, “The Word will build you up.” So, all you have to do is digest the Word, receive and learn it, so you can have it in you, and live by it. Prayer... Dear Father, your Word is building my life and transporting me into higher and greater realms of glory. I’m conscious of this blessing, as I walk in righteousness, strong in faith, and fruitful in all things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. It's the Principle that works - Monday, March 6th Pastor Chris Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6). In our opening text, the Spirit gives an important counsel at the beginning of the fifth verse. He says let your manner of life be without covetousness, and be content with what you have. He could have stopped there, but He didn’t. Rather, He went further to tell us the reason He made the statement in the first place, which we find in the concluding part of verse five: “for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Again, He could have stopped there, and that would have meant He just wanted us to see a promise, which would still have been nice. Howbeit, He goes to the next verse and reveals something even more profound; He said, “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” That changes everything! It’s not just a promise anymore; a principle is being revealed. He bases the counsel on a principle. The principle is: “God has said, so that you may boldly say….” God gave us His Word, so that you may boldly say something in response and in consonance with what He has said. That’s what changes your life. The promise doesn’t change your life; the principle does. And the principle doesn’t come into operation, until you act on it. In applying the principle, you’re not to merely “quote” what God has said. Our theme verse doesn’t say, “He hath said, ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee, so that we may boldly say, ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee’”; no! He didn’t say quote it back. Speaking the same thing in consent means giving your personal faith-response to the Word, on the basis of your accurate understanding of, and confidence in, what God has said. It means giving a response that’s consistent with what He has said. That’s the principle; and that’s what transforms your life. Hallelujah! Prayer... Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for causing me to experience increased glory in my life as I affirm your Word today. I’m a success, a victor, and a champion forever, because Christ is my source, my ability and my sufficiency. Understanding True Worship - Saturday, March 4th . Pastor Chris God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). When we talk about worship, there’re those who don’t understand what it is. They wonder, “Who do you worship?” “Why do you worship?” “What are the benefits of worship?” Worship is the recognition and appreciation of the goodness, blessings, kindness and righteousness of God. It’s the recognition, appreciation or confession of His character. For example, when you give thanks to God and say, “Lord, you’re good; you’re kind; you’ve blessed me; you’re righteous,” etc., you’re defining, recognizing, and appreciating His character. God likes it when you worship Him like that because it shows who He is in your life; it separates Him from everyone else and from everything else. When you thank Him for His goodness, provisions, blessings, and all the wonderful things He’s given you, and done for you, you’re attributing those beautiful works to Him. The necessary result is that He’ll do more in your life. Furthermore, worship brings to us a greater revelation of God. This is why we worship God and not men, angels or things. Neither men nor angels have the capacity or ability to reveal themselves beyond what they themselves can perceive. You can’t grow spiritually from knowing an angel or another human being; no human can reflect you to you, because every human being is unique to himself. But in fellowship, God reveals Himself to you, and in that process, He reveals you to you, and also reveals your future, your life, your personality, your value and then His purpose for your life. That’s why when you study the Bible and read of men and women who encountered God, they all had a divine revelation of God’s purpose for their lives, an understanding of the future that God was leading them into, and a revelation of God Himself. Thus, worship for us is something much more than a form, a ritual or mere religious activity. When we worship God, there’s true recognition, a true perception, and real encounter with Deity. When you’re in church and it’s time for worship, or when you worship in your closet, give it your attention; worship the Lord in reality, with this understanding. Prayer... Dear Father, I recognize and appreciate your goodness, blessings, kindness, and righteousness. I worship you from my spirit for making me an excellent person, and decorating my life with your glory. I extol your majesty and praise you for your blessings and wondrous works in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Voice What You Believe - Friday, March 3rd . Pastor Chris For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION (Romans 10:10). Some Christians are agonized because their personal experiences don’t seem to be in sync with the realities and provisions of the Gospel, even though they “believe” the Word of God. That you believe the Word doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. Believing isn’t enough. It’s like having faith and not using it; it’s not going to work; you must use your faith for it to produce result. As the principle in our opening verse reveals, even though you’ve believed the Gospel and are made right with God, you may not enjoy the benefits of salvation and righteousness until you act on the underlined portion of the opening text. Your confession is what catapults you into the vital experience of salvation, meaning that your mouth-work is important. Your mouth was given to you to say the right things that’ll direct the course of your life, beginning with salvation: “With the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.” The word translated “confession” is the Greek “homologeo” which means speaking the same thing in consent; to say the same thing in agreement with God. When God says something, you respond by speaking in line or in agreement with what He has said. You must do this to experience the blessings of His Word in your life. God gave us mouths so we can vocalize and use His Word to mould and shape our lives and destinies, in the direction of His perfect will. His Word requires your response all the time. Your response is what you say, because of what He has said: “…for he hath said…So that we may boldly say…” (Hebrews 13:5-6). If the principle works for salvation, it’ll also work for everything that’s based on salvation: deliverance, protection, healing, preservation, prosperity, wellness, wholeness, etc. Therefore, don’t stop at believing; vocalize your faith and act accordingly. Confession... I walk in absolute mastery, victory, divine health, safety, wellness and wholeness because I’m in Christ, and Christ is my life! His wisdom, righteousness, peace, glory and joy are resplendent in, and expressed through me, in the Name of Jesus! Amen. Further Study: Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. A New Life's - Wednesday, March 1st.. Pastor Chris But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). A literal interpretation of our opening verse would mean that the new creation is one who was called out of darkness into God’s marvellous light, meaning he had a past of darkness. This, however, isn’t true, because the new creation never existed before, and therefore couldn’t have a past. He has a new life. The idea of the new creation having a past is mostly common amongst believers who merely see the Christian as “a sinner saved by grace”; one who was once under the power of Satan, but now free to serve God. However, as you grow in the knowledge of the Word of God, you’ll discover that being born again, you’re not one who was taken from the hands of Satan and delivered into the hands of God; you’re actually a new creation. You’re not the man that was in darkness; that man actually died with Christ. You were born into His marvellous light. Acts 13:33 tells us something beautiful; it reads, “God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.” God didn’t say, “Thou art my Son, this day have I raised thee back to life” no; rather, He said, “This day, I have given birth to you (begotten thee).” When Jesus died, He died in the spirit; that’s why He’s called the first begotten from the dead (Revelation 1:5), not the first to be raised from the dead. When He was raised from the dead, He was raised a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, …if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature...” You’re a new species—recreated in Christ Jesus and brought into a newness of life: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Confession... My life is one of glory and excellence, because I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus! I walk in the glory and light of God, having been born into a newness of life. I live in the immeasurable and unlimited grace and mercies of God. Hallelujah! Light in a Dark World - Tuesday, February 28 Pastor Chris . Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:14-15). You’re the light of the world; you’re a city set on a hill (Matthew 5:14); meaning that you’re the solution to the darkness in the world. The Bible says, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people...” (Isaiah 60:2). The gross darkness in the world is a sign that it’s your time to arise, shine and light up your world. Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” The world is waiting for you to manifest the glory of God, to free it from the decay and corrupting influences of Satan. Psalm 74:20 says the dark places of the earth are filled with the habitations of cruelty. That’s talking about spiritual darkness and wickedness that’s prevalent in today’s world. But when you show up, the darkness and cruelty are dispelled. When you come into the world of the unsaved, bearing the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, salvation comes to them. Your light gives meaning, direction and beauty to your world. You’re the light in a dark world. Jesus said, “...As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you” (John 20:21). He came to give our lives a meaning and then sent us as lights to bring glory, excellence and meaning to the lives of those around us. This is your ministry. This is your life. 1 Peter 2:9 AMP declares, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” Prayer... Dear Father, I fulfil my calling, ministry and responsibility as the light of the world by expressing your righteousness, and impacting my world with the Gospel of your grace. I give meaning, direction, beauty, glory, and excellence to the lives of men in my world, turning them from the power of Satan unto you, and from darkness into light, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study : Isaiah 60:1-3 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 1 Year Bible Reading Plan :Mark 8:27-38 Numbers 5 2 Year Bible Reading Plan :Matthew 18: 21-35 Exodus 9 |
He’s The Son Of God Indeed - Monday, February 27th Pastor Chris …he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:8-9). There’re still many who don’t know who Jesus really is; to them, He’s a great religious leader. But Jesus isn’t a mere religious leader or reformist; He’s Himself God. You have to study the Word of God to discover this. In John 5:39, He said, ‘search the Scriptures, for they testify of me.’ The Scriptures testify of Jesus as Deity; He’s co-equal with God. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This is talking about Jesus; He’s the living and incarnate Word. A certain preacher told the story of a professor who came to his church on a Sunday morning. After the sermon, the professor came to greet him, and he asked the professor, “I hope you enjoyed the service?” The professor replied, “Yes I did, but I don’t really believe the things you preached.” Surprised, the preacher asked, “Which amongst the things I said was difficult for you to accept?” “Well, about everything,” replied the professor. Then the preacher said to him, “Go and study the Bible for yourself; after you’ve read through, come back and let’s discuss.” The man took the Bible home and spent several weeks reading the Scriptures. After reading from Genesis to Revelation, he made an appointment to see the Pastor again. When they met this time, before the Pastor could say anything, the professor submitted: “Pastor, Jesus Christ is God!” The Professor continued, “You told me to study the Bible for myself, and I‘ve done that. I studied from Genesis to Revelation; my finding is what I’m giving you: Jesus Christ is God.” He found out the truth. Glory to God! Jesus said, “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). In our opening verse, He said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.” He’s one with the Father; that’s the meaning of “Son of God.” Son of God doesn’t just mean somebody born of God; it means one with His nature. You’ve got to come to that point in your life where you recognise that Jesus is Himself God. The Bible declares that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily; (Colossians 1:19, 2:9) He’s the complete embodiment of Deity. Hallelujah! Prayer... *Dear Lord Jesus, I worship and extol your majesty, for you’re the great King; the Monarch of the universe; the mighty God. I adore you for who you are; the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes dwell in you permanently. I’m forever grateful to be born with your nature, and life in my spirit; I worship you for this awesome privilege. Hallelujah!* Further Study: John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Matthew 16:15-17 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. John 20:27-29 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed. Faith —The effect of Righteousness - Saturday, Feb 25 Pastor Chris …and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. (Isaiah 32:17). Our opening verse reminds of the true definition of faith in Hebrews 11:1 which says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is the quiet, confident assurance of what we hope for and the reality of things yet unseen. That’s the reason Jesus said, “…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). The effect of righteousness is faith; mountain-moving faith; with which you affirm that all things are possible unto you, living without fears, worries, conflicts, and agitations. Isaiah 54:14 says, “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; FOR THOU SHALT NOT FEAR: AND FROM TERROR; FOR IT SHALL NOT COME NEAR THEE.” When you’re established by God in righteousness, you become unshakeable and immovable (1 Corinthians 15:58). In the underlined portion of the verse above, the word “for” means because or whenever. In other words, you shall be far from oppression because you shall not fear. Why will you not fear? Because the effect of righteousness has produced quietness, assurance, and confidence in you forever; it has secured you in Christ. You’re no longer in the arena of those who’re oppressed by circumstances, situations of life, demon spirits, etc.; you’re not under the oppression of the enemy. Rather, you’re in charge and in control. To walk in the consciousness of God’s righteousness is to walk in glory, dominion, and the strength of God. Hallelujah! Prayer... Dear Father, I thank you for the effect of righteousness in my spirit. I’m established in righteousness, therefore, I’m far from oppression and from terror. Nothing is impossible to me, for I walk in the might, dominion and liberty of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. 2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] of God; 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1-Year Bible Reading Plan:Mark 7:1-23, Leviticus 26-27 2-Year Bible Reading Plan:Matthew 17:22-27, Exodus 6 |
Righteousness And Peace - Friday, February 24th Pastor Chris And the work of righteousness shall be peace… (Isaiah 32:17). In the days of Moses, truth and judgment came together; and if truth bore testimony against you, you were judged on the spot. But it’s not so with the Gospel. The Bible says, “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven” (Psalms 85:10-11). In the Gospel, mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Greek word from where “justified” is translated is “Dikaioo” and it means to be acquitted and declared righteous. Which means since we’re justified, acquitted, declared righteous and have right standing with God by faith, we have peace with Him through our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, there’s no enmity between you and God; the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ has set you at one with God. That’s what the word “peace” or its Greek equivalent “eirene,” mean. It’s “to be set at one again,” to be brought into harmony, concord, safety, felicity, and security with God. There’s no need for you to be afraid that one day, God will recall all your wrongs and punish you as a result. No. You’ve come home to Him; you’re now at rest in Him through Christ Jesus. He made it possible; it’s the work or result of His righteousness that you’ve received: “And the work of righteousness shall be peace…” (Isaiah 32:17). Being born again, you’re now one with the Lord; He’s brought you to Himself: “Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” There’s a oneness now. Glory to God! Prayer... Dear Father, I thank you for the oneness I have with you! Being justified by faith; acquitted and declared righteous, I have peace with you; your righteousness has produced peace in me, and for me in your presence; peace with prosperity! I revel in the divine harmony, bliss and joy that you’ve brought me into. Thank you for this awesome priviledge, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: Psalm 85:11-13 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. 12 Yea, the LORD shall give [that which is] good; and our land shall yield her increase. 13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set [us] in the way of his steps. An Extraordinary Authority - Thursday, February 23rd Pastor Chris For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) (Romans 5:17). Theliteral translation of the word “reign” in the verse above is taken from the root word “Basileuo” (Greek), and it means to “king” or “be king.” It’s the verb of kingship. So, you could actually say, “They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall ‘king’ or ‘be kings’ in life.” They’re going to carry out the functions of a king; they’ll reign and rule in life. That means you have an extraordinary authority. What you have to do is to learn about the authority you have. What’s the implication and extent of this extraordinary authority? What does this give you? It bestows on you the gift of righteousness; righteousness makes us masters. The Bible says the law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17). He came with grace, and brought us righteousness as a gift. So, when you hear the Gospel and believe in Jesus Christ, you become the recipient and expression of His righteousness. Jesus came to reveal and demonstrate the righteousness of the Father. Now, He gives you that same nature, ability, and authority to carry on His ministry, to reveal and demonstrate His righteousness. He gave you the authority to do it. You have the ability to unveil the will, purpose and character of your heavenly Father. What a life! No wonder He said in John 20:23, “Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” He’s made you the dispenser of His goodness: His mercy, grace, love, and righteousness. Remember, you’re an associate of the God-kind, in partnership with Him, therefore, it’s perfectly legal for the Lord Jesus to give you the authority (the same authority that He had) to dispense good things. You’re the expression of His glory, splendour, and divinity. Hallelujah! Prayer... Dear Father, I thank you for the extraordinary authority vested in me, to rule and reign as a king in life. I’m a dispenser of your goodness; I manifest your glory, splendour and wisdom; your righteousness is expressed through me today, and always in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. John 20:21-23 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on [them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; [and] whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained. Pull From Your Reservoir - Wednesday, February 22 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom... (Colossians 3:16). Your reaction to challenges and adversities of life will be to the extent of the Word of God you have inside you; the reservoir of the Word that’s stored up in your spirit. In the day of crisis, you’re to pull from that reservoir of the Word in you; meaning that your response would be ready-made, programmed ahead by the Word. Let’s take for instance that a situation has arisen at work or in your finances or your health. What would your reaction be? Your reaction would be entirely based on what you’ve stored in your reservoir. If you’ve programmed yourself through the years with the Word, to understand, that come what may, greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in the world, there’d be no room for fear. If you’ve programmed yourself to understand that you’re a partaker of the divine nature; an associate of the God-kind, you’d not be afraid. Rather, you’d begin to prophesy and declare the Word in and over that situation. The Word of God that you’ve learnt, including the one you’re learning right now, isn’t for nothing. It’ll put you over in the day of trouble. That’s why the Word shouldn’t only be in your head; allow it to permeate every fibre of your being, every bone of your body! Keep it in your heart and in your mouth always. If you notice any anomaly in any part of your body, from the reservoir in your spirit, release the Word: “In the Name of Jesus, I’m a partaker of the divine nature! The life of God is in every cell of my blood, in every bone of my body, and in every fibre of my being! I am “uninfectable”; the Holy Ghost perambulates in my body!” The divine life is in my muscles! It’s in my bones! It’s in my skin! I’m fully vitalised by the Holy Ghost!” No devil can stand it when you make such bold, faith-filled declarations, from the reservoir of your spirit. Hallelujah! Prayer... Dear Lord, I’m yielded to your Word to perfect its ministry in me, to permeate my entire being, producing life in me! Your Word is working in me strong, propelling me in the path of greatness as I fulfil my destiny in you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Stand For Him - Monday, February 20th . Pastor Chris Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 8:23). When God puts you in a particular place of work or business, His interest isn’t about your office, because that doesn’t count in His Kingdom. What matters isn’t whether you’re the Managing Director or Chief Executive Officer; it’s not about your rank or designation. What matters to God is how effective you are in using your office to promote His righteousness. He wants your passion for the Gospel, for which He sent His Son to die. Everywhere you are, you ought to be busy for the Lord. If you stand for Him, He’ll stand for you. The Apostle Paul, in our opening verse, was commending the commitment of Titus and others who were with him on his missionary journeys. Paul was proud of their commitment to the Gospel. He said, “…they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.” What a testimony! They were the apostles of the churches, sent on missionary activities. It makes no difference where you are, and what you do; see yourself as a sent one; a minister of the Gospel. Stand for the Lord. Preach the Gospel. Minister the Word to those in your world. The Bible says He’s made us “...able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life” (2 Corinthians 3:6). You’re an oracle of God! You’re His mouth-piece. Speak for Him! Do His work. Arise, and shine for the Lord! Do big things for Him. Be bold. Be daring. Nothing should be terrifying or intimidating enough to keep you quiet. Preach the Gospel as though you’re the only one the Lord is relying on to do it. Be an activist for Jesus Christ, bearing His message of faith, hope, and love. Fuel your passion for the Gospel and keep preaching it with all fervour, for the end is near. Prayer... Lord, your Word is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations, desiring men and women around the world to come to the knowledge of the truth. I stand firm in the faith, unashamed and undeterred to preach the Gospel and spread your righteousness around the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Strengthen Your Faith With The Word - Sunday, February 19th . Pastor Chris But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people (Luke 21:23). The Word of God is truth, irrespective of what your experiences might be. The Word never fails. There’re people who say they pray, but never receive answers. Some others lament that they gave so much to God, but never received much in return. There’re also those who say, “I’ve been speaking the Word concerning my healing for such a long time, yet I’m sick.” Now, if any of these applies to you, then here’s something you should know: Your experience should never affect your confidence in the Word. As you grow in the knowledge of the Word, and keep the Word in your mouth, no circumstance can successfully stand against you. Just because it’s been several days and there’s still no change as you expect, doesn’t mean it’s failing. The Word never fails. You must understand that Christian growth and maturity are progressive. Acting your faith to get results isn’t something you become perfect in at once; it gets better and easier as you keep at it. The reason for this has to do with your limited knowledge at the time, meaning, you don’t know enough or there’s too much you don’t know on the subject you’re dealing with. What you’re supposed to do is to keep going for the Word, and keep exercising your faith. Keep strengthening your faith with the Word. For instance, at a certain time in your life, you might have tried to use your faith to get a certain amount of money, but it didn’t quite work. Don’t be discouraged; grow your faith to the level where it can produce that amount when you want it! If it took you six months the first time, tell yourself, “Next time, I’ll get it in one month, or even less.” Then, begin to study and meditate on the Word with your new goal in focus. That’s how you train yourself in the faith-life. Never give up on the Word. Stand your ground, and be confident in its ability to prevail over circumstances and put you over all the time. Confession... I stand strong in faith, unshakeable and unmovable, because Christ is the solid rock on which I stand. My faith is hinged on God’s infallible Word, and I live a life of victory, excellence, dominion, and power. I reign, and excel every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Let Christ stand up in you - Saturday, February 18 Pastor Chris To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The real essence of Christianity is Christ in you, manifesting and expressing Himself in, and through, you. The Christian is one who expresses, exudes, and demonstrates the life, nature, character, and righteousness of Christ. Thus, in appraising your spiritual growth, one of the things you check is how much your life depicts the righteousness or character of Christ. For example, in times of provocations, when you’re offended, who stands up in you? You ought to let Christ stand up in you. Remember, as a new creation in Christ, you don’t have two natures; you have only one: the Christ-nature. Your recreated human spirit is made in the image and likeness of Christ. Therefore, in all that you do, and at all times, refuse to yield to the flesh; rather, respond from your Christ-nature, with the fruit of the recreated spirit. When you talk, let Christ be heard. Let His love emit and effuse from your words and actions. Let His wisdom and righteousness overwhelm the hearts of your hearers as you speak only gracious and lifting words; let Him talk through you. Let Him see through your eyes. Let Him work with your hands. Violent people allow the beast to take over their lives. Never let the devil show up in you. Be like Jesus who said, “...for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” (John 14:30). Remember: Satan has nothing in you; but Christ in you, the hope of glory. Prayer... Dear Lord, thank you for blessing me and filling me with your love, righteousness, and indeed, with Yourself. I’m gentle, patient, peaceful, loving, and kind. Your wisdom, grace, and glory are seen and heard in me. I express your beauty and love always. Christ is in me, and as He is, so am I in this world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. A different mind-set - Friday, February 17th Pastor Chris But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it (Numbers 14:24). When God wanted to train and raise the children of Israel after bringing them out of Egypt, He used Moses. Why? The answer is simple: He needed somebody with a different mentality from what the children of Israel had. The children of Israel had the slave mentality, but Moses was different. He had been a prince in Pharaohs palace. You couldnt take that away from him. Even though he had become a shepherd in the desert, he was a prince inside him; his mind-set was that of a prince. When he saw the strange sight of a bush burning, and yet the thicket wasnt consumed, he didnt run away terrified. Instead, he said, ...I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt (Exodus 3:3). He was fearless. Two other Bible characters after Moses, with a similar mind-set are Joshua and Caleb. They had the mentality of champions; they thought as victors. Read again the Spirits commendation of Caleb in our opening verse. When they were sent to go spy out the land God had promised the children of Israel, they didnt deny that there were giants in the land. Howbeit, they saw the giants as bread. Their mentality was different. Whereas the other ten spies gave a faithless response when asked to describe the land, Joshuas and Calebs response was from a standpoint of faith, inspired by a mind-set of victory. This is what the Word of God does in your life; it gives you a different mind-set; the mentality of victory and excellence. The Word of God causes you to think and act right, because its the wisdom of God; its a force that propels you to do the will of God. The Word of God produces in you the wisdom (Greek: Phronesis) of the righteous (Luke 1:17). Some Christians, even though theyve been made righteous, arent functioning with the wisdom of the righteous. They have a carry-over from the world. And thats been their bane. Dont think sickness; dont think poverty; renew your mind with the Word, and keep declaring what God says about you, irrespective of circumstances. Thats the wisdom of the righteous! Prayer... Dear Father, your Word causes me to think, talk, and act right. Your Word enriches me with the right mental attitude to situations and interpretations of those situations. I have the mind-set of the righteous; therefore, I display excellence, and triumph always in all things, in Jesus Name. Amen. Nurture your Spirit with the Word - Wednesday, February 15th Pastor And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:15-17). Every Christian needs to learn and understand the Word of God; without studying the Word, you’ll never know it. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” You have to hear the Word; you have to be taught, and then search the Scriptures for yourself. There’re people who know so much about everything else, but know nothing about the Word of God; and that’s terrible. The most important thing about you is your spirit; that’s the real you. When everything in this world is over, your spirit will live on, which means your spirit is eternal. It’s therefore important that the spirit is trained and nurtured by the Word. Your spirit was recreated by the Word, and can only be sustained by the Word. The human spirit must be educated to know and relate with spiritual verities. It’s one of the reasons the teaching of the Word of God in the Church is so important; it’s for the development of your spirit. If you follow the teaching of the Word of God, and also have times of personal meditation, your mind will surely be enlightened, your spirit will be lifted, and you’ll be strengthened in the things of God. More so, it’ll make your spirit an accurate guide, because he’s able to receive light from God; ideas and thoughts that’ll make you creative and excellent in all you do. Understand that the highest potential of the human nature isn’t in the mind but in the spirit. So, keep educating your spirit with the Word. Discipline yourself to have, and follow, a very healthy and robust Word-study programme, with definite times of meditation. Prayer... Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity and joy of being inspired, taught, educated, trained, and nurtured in and by the Word. I’m built up, strengthened, and energised by your Word today, as always, for the ever-winning, victorious, and triumphant life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 1-Year Bible Reading Plan: Mark 1:21-45, Leviticus 8 2-Year Bible Reading Plan: Matthew 14:22-33, Genesis 46 |
