My husband got this email (attached) from CIC 3weeks ago.
I logged into his account and discovered that the GC key has been revoked (my last login was over a year ago coz I felt we won’t get the visa coz we applied since 2020)
I created a new account and tried to link it with the old account but it wasn’t successful.

Now (two days ago) my son and I got emails saying we should send our passports. But my husband didn’t get this mail (I feel it’s because he hasn’t responded to the message they sent to his account which we don’t have access to)

I am thinking of sending a mail to the Canadian embassy (or the appropriate office) about this.
Pls can someone help with d appropriate email address for this 🙏🏽

Also, if there is a better way to go about this whole issue, pls help out 🙏🏽

I did paper application on 9th of March with my husband and son, we did biometrics same day. The only email we have ever got is from vfs saying that our Visa application has been received. We didn't even get the mail about biometrics that I usually see people talk about here.
I went to the CIC site and signed up an account using the GC key option then tried linking it my paper application as advised here.
I clicked "Add(link) your application to your account"
Then selected "Temporary Resident Visa"
The next thing I see is "Go to main account page"
When I click on it, it simply takes me back to the previous page ( ie. my main account page).

Pls what am I doing wrong?

Also I don't even know whether our application makes sense again coz our expected date of travel is 27th July �‍♀️. Our purpose of travel is family vacation.
If my fear is the case, how do we get our passport back esp as VFS hasn't opened. Also does that mean our Visa processing fee is gone like that �

We submitted every and any document that we could think of that would make her application strong.

There was a mistake on my mum's application, she uploaded the Application for Visit Visa twice ( in the place of travel history).
Thank God we discovered it and the travel history document was sent through the IRCC webform.

In my case, my mum was given a visa up till the time of her passport expiration.

I pray that for everyone trusting God for his or her own God will grant you favor in your application in Jesus name.

Only the main applicant should sign up ie the person sponsoring the trip. After the questionnaire, he/she will be guided on the required forms.
My husband is sponsoring the trip so I signed up with his details.

cos i signed up and while answering the questions, they ask me if i am submitting for another applicant and i said yes after everything,the system brought up what to fill (it brought up my forms and requirement to upload and brought up my wife's section too: the forms and requiement) with this will she have to sign up separately again?

You don't have to. Just mention his details and that he won't be needing visa because he is an American citizen. I think there is a space for those details on the application form.

VO: where will you be staying ?
ME: gave him the address
VO: how much do you have on you
ME: told him
VO: Make sure to get all your receipts from the hospital and obgyn; when next you visit the US we will definitely want to have a look at it.
Stamped my visa for 6 months and handed me back my passport and told me safe delivery and do enjoy your stay.
ME: took my passport; thanked him and left.

Before I got out my bags were already waiting for me with all the plenty food stuff I carried I wasn’t check and I carried my bags and left the airport.


Meanwhile 2 days ago I got a call from US embassy asking me where I want them to submit my document for pickup and I told them and next thing I got an email asking me to go pick up my document from DHL office. Me that have landed obodo oyibo since�.

Am hoping to get every letter stating that I wasn’t given any discount while am here to avoid stories that touches the heart later.

I don't know if they did. Coming from the US may have also helped. Even pregnant women go on summer vacation. Cos she could have given birth in the US if we wanted.

Please, I had my baby 2 weeks ago in Virginia and is yet to get his birth certificate, was told it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get.

I have only 2 weeks more before returning to Naija. Please, how did you process your baby's birth certificate in less than 3 weeks?

I was made to understand there's no way to expedite BC in Virginia. Ur best bet is to go to vital records office @ Richmond (if u are in that axis) or go to DMV and apply and pay for the cert. and it will be sent 2 u.
In my own case, I went to DMV exactly 3wks and 2days after i filled d form @ d hosp and I got it (turns out it was ready 2days before)

Yh. U might be stopped even in naija airport. Just get a consent letter from DH. Also go with ur child's birth cert.

My dear, i did last November. The nurses kept asking if someone was coming and i kept saying no it's jst me. I felt lonely oo bt the nurses were super helpful; kept on checking on me and always asking if I need anything. When baby was coming, the nurse on duty asked if she can FaceTime DH. She later got through to him via whatsapp video call to experience the delivery.

My hospital also charged me 20k for my medical records tho mine was to two hospitals so they printed two letters, same content different addresses. This was the U.S hospitals' requirement for acceptance. Then when one of the hospitals accepted me and it was time 4 my trip, my Naija hospital charged me 30k for updated medical report and fit to fly after so much price hassling with them. So 50k in total. I still paid extra for photocopy oo.( I jst weak)

So, our missionary journey came to an end yesterday. Left Norfolk on Christmas day and got to Lagos on boxing day. My return leg with BA was terrible! I'm angry! but glad it's over; baby's ticket was expensive ($432), spent ($109) jst on transport to Baltimore Airport jst to get d damn ticket, even made me wait for over an hour to link it to my ticket. And I thought it was successfully linked only for me to be kept standing for abt 45mins @ Check-in counters at Norfolk Airport and also at JFK to link again on d day of our trip. One was evn blabbing abt me not paying, was just abt getting my mouth ready to blast them wen they found out they made a mistake. No bassinet for my baby in any of the flights! I carried my baby from Virginia to Lagos! We weren't even given a front row seat on any of d flights, was jst squeezing ourselves in & out whenever I want to change baby or whenever my neighbors want to use the restroom. Their jollof  rice was the worst ever!
Jst wanted to rant about this first! Will be back with hospital breakdown.

P.S: To avoid delays at security,  do not wear body shapers dat have metal strings. Mehn! I was made to pass through the detector 9 times @ JFK!! It wasn't even funny! Ish kept beeping!! They evn suggested I take it off, then I said that wld mean taking my entire cloths off. Even after i passed thru they were still looking at me like I was hiding sth.

I flew BA for my birthing trip twice and I always pay for my infant ticket at the airport on the day of departure. I just call them to add infant to my ticket. It's also faster at the airport if you pay with ur card instead of cash.

That is if there is BA @ ur airport of exit. I' l b leaving from Norfolk Airport to JFK with American airlines, I'm sure they wnt allow baby onboard without a ticket . Had to go to BWI to pay 4 a ticket last night (luckily I visited Maryland last two nights). Spent $109 on uber jst to buy a damn ticket! BA charged my baby $432 (still vexing 4 dem)

Please who has travelled with British airways ? I need your help urgently pls. I called to add my baby's ticket and they said I can't pay over the phone (or even through the travel agency from naija). Said I have to go to their ticketing office @ Dallas, Phil, NY or Baltimore. Problem is i'm in Virginia, hw do they expect me to start travelling wit my newborn jst to add her to my return ticket.
Has anyone been in this situation? Pls how did u do it? Is there any alternative? Also can someone go to their ticketing office to make payment on my behalf?

For processing baby's passport, they request copy of front and back of parents' intl. Passport.
For the back, should I make the copy with the white sticker or shld i remove it?

P.S: I'm also wondering y they need d back coz there is nothing on it.

Go with the printed and filled form ds3053 and a photocopy of your (ur husband) international passport, data page n back of passport. Also go with original for citing.


The details are the info required in the form e.g name of child and date of birth etc
