Mizwisdom:
@27, you're a man. Come down to Lagos and spend at least two weeks organizing your court wedding and her stay. You don't need fanfare for court wedding, just go to LG where it will be held beforehand to get the needed information. All you need is a few witnesses that can join you few days before the wedding, but your budget shouldn't be less than N400K(always work with a budget) if you have friends or relatives who live on the Island then you can even reduce your budget to N200K. Explore the fun spots in Lagos, all the best cheesy
I don't think our man can afford such amount of money according to his message. I will suggest he look for a cheaper hotels online from 10k downnward, check jumia and other hotel portals online. The reason l mentioned you should delay your marriage till her second or third visit, is that it will surely makes your immigrant visa less complicated, Nigeria is rated as high marriage fraud country, so marriage at first visit will be viewed as such except mountainous and convincing evidences are provided by you.

I will strongly advice you not to marry her in her first visit, you can do that the second or third time she visits, l will also let you know that you should plan to take her to places in Lagos, avoid LEKKI Conservation there is nothing to see there, you can take her to the National Museum Onikan to learn more about our culture, Beaches, there are many to choose from, Google online and see more exciting places to see in Lagos, make sure you are in Lagos a day before her arrival and be at the Airport atleast an hour before her arrival.

Please Mod you can help this gentle man put this to front page to gain more wealth of knowledge and experiences from fellow Nigerians and other Nationals

Well from what l know, if you have a resident permit in Togo which l beleive you will, it will be easy, just approach any of their marriage registries tell them you want to get married, make sure you go there 3 weeks before the arrival of your fiance tell them your story but they may ask for more money if they know you are marrying a foreigner and to make it worst you are a foreigner yourself, l will strongly advice you go with a Togolese that you trust to their marriage registry it might make things easier for you. Don't forget your fiance does not require a visa to Togo it is Visa on arrival for most countries in the West including America but it is only valid for 7 days, l will suggest you ask her to get Togolese visa at their Embassy in Washington DC for a longer stay and multiple entries.

CR1 visa is slower in process than K1 visa, but l will advice you to go for CR1 visa because it's denial is so low compare to K1 visa. The whole process might take a year or more. If this is the first time your wife to be is visiting you, l will advice you to get married on her second or third visit as this gives you more chance of getting the visa without much complications, marriage at first visit for Nigerians, a country rated according to their immigration standard as high fraud country is giantly complicated and can leads to refusal. just take it easy my friend, it is better to wait longer for something that has highest percentage of success than rush and fail.

Take lots of pictures together and don't delete your chats except your very very private conversations l wish you success.

Truth be told it will take many years for any airport to beats Changi Airport to its first position, that airport is a definition of tourism to the next level, imagine an Airport with 4 big terminals, cinema, flower garden and this superb edifice.

The first time l was at the airport it was as if l was in another planet entirely it was unbelievably beautiful. But the government of Singapore don't issue their PR easily even the E pass, S pass, long term visa are very difficult to get now for foreigners especially from Africa and Nigeria. But it is an excellent country for tourism if you are staying for few weeks.

Again, with the Strawman’s Arguments... undecided

Never said the Nigerian govt was not “useless” - quite the contrary (unless “inept” has a different meaning to you), but the misapplication of resources and energy expended in placating (or even subduing) 200+ ethnic groups exacerbates the difficult task of development. Even the money spent in policing the intermittent ethnic conflagrations in Nigeria is money diverted from things like healthcare and education. And when Fulani herdsmen chase away native farmers from their lands, that’s agricultural production (and thus our economic health) taking a hit.
Stop saying Strawman Arguments!! We both agreed our government is useless and l also agree with you that solving Nigeria's problems can be difficult due to the reasons you mentioned, but a journey of a thousand miles begins a step, for our government, they have not even made the step at all they failed in all ramifications. I know you are sounding to be patrotic, but no one is even asking them to solve the problems at once let them start with electricity, if our country is still battling with the problem of Electricity since 1960, no amount of excuses will be accepted from our Government even if our population is bigger than China. Nation building is meaningless without basic amenities

Please enough with the irrelevant pedantic dissertations... undecided

I pointed out two elements that made/makes it easier for SPECIFIC countries cited in a list to develop FASTER, while noting the INEPTNESS of Nigerian leadership (and frankly not just government, but don’t intend to waste time expounding). Never said it was the only way to develop nor that the absence thereof makes development impossible. For instance, my discussion of demolishing houses contrasted how much FASTER and EASIER it is to do so in a Dubai than in Lagos. NEVER SAID IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO IN LAGOS! Furthermore, if you are unable to grasp basic issues such as how much more it is difficult to build a national consensus (and cohesion) in a Nigeria of 200+ ethnicities and an est 200 million people as opposed to a Dubai of one single ethnicity and less than one million citizens, then afraid this discourse is not for you.

Meanwhile, please quit pulling out Strawman’s Arguments from your behind and attributing same to me. It’s more than mildly irritating! SMH
l understand your assertions better now but my brother if our government can not achieve stable Electricity since 1960 then what national building are we talking about, shame on our government. Our huge population and giant ethnic groups should never be a reason to be where we are Today, Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world.

Irrelevant Strawman’s Argument... cheesy

Unless you are belaboring under a basic comprehension deficit, the highlighted was neither the point of my posts nor was anything remotely in dispute thereof in my posts. Furthermore, there was no assertion that the mere existence of substantial ethnic multiplicity and diversity is solely by itself inimical to development. On the contrary, I could not have been more clearer that it is the WRONG-headed choices made in Nigeria solely to placate the different and often adversarial ethnic groups - such as siting a refinery a world away from the source of crude inputs, appointing/elevating unqualified persons for the sake of ethnic parity and patronage, admitting less qualified candidates to achieve federal character and ethnic balance, awarding contracts to unqualified or inefficient persons on the basis of ethnicity, and so on and so forth.

Nonetheless, if you believe that Nigeria’s issues are limited to the government, then this discourse was a meaningless monologue all along. SMH
We are on the same page my brother, even if Nigeria is 100 percent Hausas, a useless government will remain a useless government, and having 100,000 ethnic groups in one entity should never be anyway inimical to developments. My points are clear and this not in anyway a strawman's argument if it's even worth arguing at all. You wrote in plain English so there is no belaboring under a basic comprehension deficit. Your messages were crystal clear.

We had the same Vision 2020 with China, they have achieved theirs even before 2020 while yours is on the verge on being extended.

Why cant Ghana be compared to our dilapidated country? Is Singapore not being compared to America? Is Canada not being compared to Australia. Nigeria is presently behind Ghana in terms of standard of living and basic amenities.
Of course Ghana can be compare to Nigeria in fact Ghana is doing well in many aspects than Nigeria but Nigeria Economy is greater to that of Ghana even if we ordinary citizens of Nigeria don't see any improvement
