The US did not achieved what Nigeria has achieved in 40 years when they where 60 years.

They are more developed due to their age. July 4, 1776 - Octber 1, 1960 clearly shows a difference of 184 solid years.

If we are able to get 50 more years am sure we will not be where we are today.

They (US) have faced corruption, illitracy, poverty, insecurity and so on. If some of you can ready about the US in the past you will know their present did not come as a fairytale, but a result of collective building.

This is exactly what I try to make people around me understand.

However, talking about "talent-killing", Nigeria is a very perfect example of where such is practised. (I'm not sure the US ever faced that during their own miserable days). If talents continue to be killed here, I doubt if Nigeria will ever attain that great height, not even in a hundred years to come.

There was a person whose house got burnt. Every single thing in that house got burnt, including each rooms, except for the wardrobe in which he kept his BIBLE (the word of GOD). Now tell me, do u call that luck or magic??

It doesn't sound like a joke to me. It seems more like mockery against the Christian religion.

The truth is that most scammers do what they do for reasons best known to them. Some do it in order to help their family or reduce the burden on their parents by catering for themselves. I know so many guys who sponsor themselves and their sibblings in school through scamming.

You might say that it is not an excuse; yes, I agree. But then, looking at the economy of Nigeria today, where a BSc or even an MSc degree holder will have to sweat under the anger of the sun, looking for job, all to no avail. (Very few get lucky these days); I really won't blame people engaging in internet frauds. At least, it is better than going to innocent people's houses and killing them in cold blood just to get their money for them to survive (robbery).

For now, I really don't think there's anyway internet scams can be stopped in Nigeria because even the law enforcing agencies themselves are worse than scammers, INCLUDING THE EFCC.
