Hmm, that's risky o. Expecially considering we are all looking forward to having ILR. We've had cases of people whose ILR applications were denied cos of tax payment issues.
Cos Home office will use the official records available to them to judge how much tax you should pay however, with a less hourly rate, it would appear to them like you are paying lower taxes which could be taken as some sort of evasion.

Yeah, but I guess Home Office also understands that it's not the employee who pays the tax directly to the govt - it should be deducted as salary is received. And the employee can also present payslips or something to prove the actual salary they were receiving at that time.

I came in as a band 5 worker. However,band 4 salary £23,999 will be paid till I acquired my Pin,it took the board 6months to process my PIN during this time I was paid £1,100 monthly.it was tough and I complained but no serious reponse, I contacted an African snr colleague who said I should just go low and move whenever I feel like, When PIN arrived, there's still a shortage in the payment aside what's on the offer.

I guess you're a nurse. I believe foreign nurses recruited in to the UK are usually paid lower than band 5 salary until they've achieved their full NMC registration pin. But why they continued to pay you the low salary even after receiving your NMC pin is what I don't understand.

IELTS for UKVI is needed for your Skilled Worker visa application only, not job application.

ADVICE NEEDED!

My friend got an NSF email from DMC that the CoS she applied for her visa with is not the type meant for those applying for entry clearance. They said the employer should assign her a "Defined" CoS and she should send the new CoS ref number to DMC within 10 working days.

Employer said they'll look into it. Please what's the best way forward for her, considering that a new CoS can take a long time to be ready? I don tire to dey comfort person.

It depends on the job you're looking for. If it's nursing - IELTS first, CBT second, then apply for nursing jobs. If it's care assistant, you may need to do some care related online courses & then apply for jobs online, IELTS can be done much later when needed for your visa. However, care jobs are no longer easy to get on merit as an overseas candidate - I believe you must have heard how people run it street-wise.🤐
If it's any other job, you may have to google the process for working in such professions in the UK before applying.

Most jobs will require your Right to Work share code either at application stage or during documentation. With a visit visa, you wouldn't have the code.

Yeah, but the main idea is for her to be able to attend interviews physically and enhance her chances of getting a sponsorship offer first (obviously, her profile would state that she needs SW sponsorship). She can then leave the UK and apply for SW visa proper, just the same way every other person did from Naija.

Yes, you can. I think someone here shared a similar story of getting an offer while on a visit. The major advantage this idea gives you is that you can attend interviews physically, which most employers prefer nowadays. However, there's no guarantee; just ensure you apply as though your life depends on it, once you arrive. Good luck.

Please I'll like to get advice on this issue. During my brother's visa application, we made mistake and uploaded another person's ECCTIS document instead of my bro own. It's just an oversight because he has his own.

We got a refusal mail highlighting the error and when was given option of administrative review with his wife and son. They awarded him 60 points out of 70 because of that document.

We've applied for administrative review 5 daysago, their passport has been returned by DHL.

I want the experienced house to advise us on whether to apply for a new CoS or keep waiting for the outcome of the AR. From your experience, do you think he stands a chance of getting visa?

Well, it may be best to reapply as the fault wasn't UKVI's, although I feel they could've sent him an NSF email & requested his English proficiency proof. And that could've offered him a second chance for him to right his wrong.

Good day everyone, my wife paid for her UKVI IELTS yesterday but her dashboard is still showing that she needs to make payments. She paid via transfer and as instructed, she sent an email with her details to the email address that was provided but my worry is that it is stated on her portal that she has till the 6th - tomorrow to make payments or else her application will be cancelled and they said it takes them 7 working days to confirm payments.

Simply call the test centre she selected and discuss with them. They'll sort it out.

Please, what happens after paying for police clearance online? Is there any biometrics to be done? The person is in the UK already.

You're supposed to receive an email, after about 24hrs of payment, directing you to proceed for biometrics at the police headquarters of the state you selected when registering. But sometimes, you won't receive any email, so just keep checking your dashboard to know when it shows that you've been routed for biometrics.
I'm not sure about the process for those outside Naija, so just email the POSSAP support team and enquire.

Providing it's IELTS UKVI, just prepare well. All you need is at least band 4.0, but aim for higher results. All the best.

Honestly it was a lengthy process, after getting the finger print from police station I went to Abuja for attest it, first was ministry of foreign affairs then to UAE embassy, I spent 5 days as against 2 todays I was hoping to finish everything, then I sent the stamped original copy of my fingerprint card, Nigeria police clearance certificate, receipt of payment for Dubai police clearance and my last visa copy to Dubai police via DHL, they got the package after 6 days and they asked to apply for another police clearance and pay another money without refunding the first one I paid ooo ( oloshis police ), I paid for it and first it was in progress and after 2 days it was canceled hiaa cancled kwaa abi I commit crime for Dubai we I no know ? 😢🤔 mogbe, they didn’t say the reason it was canceled, okay I mailed them like 3 times asking the reason why it was canceled and I was told I needed to clear my name with Dubai immigration, Dubai immigration kwa wetin concern me with Dubai immigration when na Abu Dhabi visas I used, okay I ran my passport and UID number on Abu Dhabi immigration there was no case on my name, ran it on Dubai immigration portal and there was no case on my name, ran it on Abu Dhabi court and there was no case, I tried to check on Dubai court and that one was full of Arabic which I didn’t understand I left it, I mailed them back asking them what it is I needed to clear with Dubai immigration and sent them a copy of a document which I was issued by UAE government before leaving the country also reminded them that I have no case or fine in any of Abu Dhabi or Dubai immigration and Abu Dhabi court, and also asked them if the can give me an email or phone number to contact Dubai immigration because I couldn’t get ahold of them via online or didn’t have any email of them, after I sent them to email I didn’t hear from them again, I tried to see if I could see what it was I did against Dubai immigration during some typing center in Dubai like Amer center but they were not giving any response, after waiting for Dubai police for like a week and they didn’t give me any reply, so I gathered my evidence from when I applied for the first police and I was asked to get fingerprints to the last email I sent them which they didn’t reply, all those evidence was what I used and sent cover letter to UKVI of what I was facing from getting the Dubai pcc, I replied the NSF on 14th of this November and on the 17th November my visa was approved. I really thank God my visa was approved because had it been it was denied it would have been unfair to me, I spent more than 500k just for the mumu pcc , going to Abuja , lodging for hotel and paying extra days which wasn’t planned, transport within Abuja and you people didn’t tell us food was that expensive in Abuja 😢, well thank God Dubai didn’t have the last laugh.

I have applied for my transcript from my school, unfortunately it is taking ages. My school is known for delays. I am under a tight deadline to submit the ECCTIS to process my application.

Can i apply for ecctis with my Bsc certificate and the medium of instruction letter only.

What is the possibility of it being approved.

Don't waste your time applying for Ecctis without the complete requirements. You must include your transcript, at least a stamped & signed student copy, if they still accept this copy.

2 satisfactory references confirming your employment history over a 3-year period to present date.

I have only worked for less than 3years because I got my license in June 2021, how do I go about the 3years reference letter?

•Occupational Health clearance: What do they mean by this?

•Verification of identity: Can I use my NIN for this?

•Satisfactory Self Declaration Form: I don't understand this too

Right to Work in the UK: What do they mean by right to work in UK?

It's better to send an email directly to your UK employer's HR/Recruitment team with your queries. It's their duty to guide you on how to complete your conditional offer requirements/pre-employment checks.
However, your current/most recent employer should be your 1st reference, and since you've not worked for up to 3yrs, your 2nd reference could be a character reference (eg. by your lecturer, traditional ruler etc).

In that way, I can put an intended date of traveling.

OK, that's fine. I wish you good luck. I didn't see any place in my online application asking for work start and end dates except intended travel date, and my work start date has already passed long ago.

Please I need suggestions on an offer I have.

I am a Registered Nurse, hoping to relocate to UK. I have passed through all the steps and currently preparing to write my OSCE in the UK. I had to sponsor myself to UK for my OSCE exams.

So recently I got job offers from 2 NHS Trusts in UK after passing their job interviews. They are willing to give me COS for my Skilled Worker Visa Processing, but none is willing to make any financial commitment for my relocation.

THEY MADE IT CLEAR THEY DO NOT OFFER ANY RELOCATION PACKAGE.

This means I have to;

Pay the Skilled Worker Visa Fees myself
Pay NHS Surcharge myself
Pay for flight
Pay for my TB tests myself
And even cater for my accomodation on arrival.

The cost runs into millions of naira, which I do not have.

My questions;

1. Does anyone thing the offer is worth it, and should I accept it considering how difficult it is getting NHS offers now?

2. If I decide to go through Health and Care Worker Visa Route, the visa processing fees will be cheaper than Skilled Worker, but is it advisable?

3. Is it advisable to take a loan and invest in the relocation plans, since I have an offer already?


Every suggested will be appreciated.

If you have an offer from the NHS, just accept it. But while you're in the UK, apply intensively to other NHS trusts and attend their physical interviews, you might have a better chance of getting good offers there than in Nigeria.
By the way, the offers you said you got, are they nursing roles? If yes, you don't have to apply for SW visa per se nor pay for IHS (surcharge) because nursing is under HCW visa (which is exempt from IHS), so you'll eventually select HCW visa route, not just SW visa.

Please any affordable room in Barnsley or surroundings (Sheffield, Wakefield, Huddersfield etc) for a single male coming in from Nigeria?
