onthehill:It's good to let people know that this happened before the primary. |
blackpanda:It's only you that have PVC! Rest |
Sonyboom765:Obi is not your regular politician. He's far ahead of our political and social evolution. You're quoting an opinion by a politician. To put the record straight, Anambra was the least indebted state as at when Obi left office. Check DMO reports. |
chiedozie198100:Correct Okpo Nwagidi! |
okeyglm:I'm talking from professional point of view. Getting water in whole of Enugu city will cost a trillion naira. 2b naira can't even build you a short span flyover |
Water scarcity in Enugu metropolis is well established but people need to understand the underlying reason. There's no single borehole in Enugu metropolis. Enugu is sitting on massive shale/extensive coal which is bad aquifer. It's simply economically impossible to drill borehole in Enugu, so that's why no private individual can develop borehole system in Enugu. Well water are common in some area but sometimes dry up during dry season. The adjoining Ajali formation on the Udi plateau is quite a good aquifer and has been the source of water in Enugu through private mobile tankers. Enugu has water cooperation that source water from the area under Ajali formation which are outside the city serving small percentage of the people living in the city. Developing comprehensive water system in Enugu will cost a fortune(Billions of US dollars) which explains why the problem has lingered for so long. |
ikpuchinonye1994:Where is Agu Ekwegbe in? Is Igbo etiti not Nsukka? What's wrong if he builds it any other part of Enugu State? |
This man should keep quiet osiso. |
For those thinking that South East has the highest prevalence should read the full report. Above national average doesn't mean having the highest prevalence. Premium Times (Abuja) By Nike Adebowale Two South-south states are among the three states with the highest HIV prevalence rate in Nigeria. Akwa Ibom tops the prevalence rate chart with about 5.5 per cent of its residents living with the virus. It is followed by Benue which has a prevalence rate of 5.3 per cent while Rivers is third with a prevalence rate of 3.8 per cent. The details were contained in the Nigerian HIV/AIDs Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS) whose result was released last week in Abuja. The result shows that about one per cent of Nigerians (1.9 million people) are currently living with HIV/AIDs. This figure, according to the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, moves Nigeria from second to the fourth position among countries battling the HIV epidemic. With an earlier estimate of about 3.2 million people living with HIV, Nigeria was second after South Africa which ranks first with about 7.1 million people living with HIV. Announcing the NAIIS result in Abuja on Thursday, the Director General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDs (NACA), Sani Aliyu, said the percentage of People Living with HIV among adults is 1.4 per cent (1.9 per cent among females and 0.9 per cent among males.) The National AIDS survey was launched in June 2018 to determine the true distribution of HIV and AIDS, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C in the country. The survey reached around 220,000 people in about 100,000 households and was conducted between July and December 2018. According to the survey, the South-south zone of the country has the highest HIV prevalence, at 3.1 per cent among adults. HIV prevalence is also high in the North-central zone with 2.1 per cent and in the South-east zone, 1.9 per cent. The three regions with lower prevalence rate are the South-west - 1.2 per cent, North-east - 1.1 per cent, and the North-west zone - 0.6 per cent. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks cells in the immune system, which serves as the body's natural defence against illnesses. Though the popular way of contracting this virus is through vaginal or anal sex, there are other ways. These include sharing of needles or syringes, piercings, tattoos, blood transfusions, semen (cum), or vaginal fluids into open cuts or sores on the body. HIV currently has no cure but can be prevented and managed with proper medication. Below is the full list of states and their HIV prevalence rate. jk200:Don't make me doubt that you are not from there. To start with, Ette is not contiguous to Benue nor Kogi state. Its in heart of Enugwu Ezike. Their language is called Ekpotor by their neighbours. Ekpotor could be Idoma or Igala but I don't know whence my question. |
jk200:You said that you're from Ette? I know that they speak Igbo and Ekpotor. Typically is Ekpotor Igala or Idoma? |
Ette speak Igbo and Ekpotor |
Psalm2423:Igbo is diverse, Agbor man understands standard Igbo because he's Igbo, he would also struggle to understand some other igbo dialects like say, Nsukka, Ngwa, Mbaise etc. I pick Agbor dialect but not 100%. I will struggle for sure but will pick some words and make meaning out of it. It's not even argued because Ika is just one of the several Igbo dialects. |
Lastorator:To help the guy I know of Bayelsa where Igbo is indigenous like Abuetor, Osekwenike etc but I have heard of one community in Akwa Ibom in Ika local government though in minority. And in cross river, isobos are Igbos and proud one. You can follow their on Facebook page to verify. In Edo Igbanke are Igbo. Delta and Rivers are the only South South with Igbo as a major language. Other SS states just have few community and minority Igbo indigenous population. Gracias |
umuna:I'm sorry to ask if you are daft. Address the point I raised. Let's argue constructively |
jamesversion:Of course. Ogwu ikpelle in Ogbaru in Anambra will relate with Ọgba better than most other Rivers person, same with Oguta. Ohaji person in Imo will communicate better with Emouha or Ikwerre LGA indigene than say Obio/Akpor or Portharcourt man. |
jamesversion:Ekpeye is Igboid just like itshekiri is yoruboid But every other places that I listed are very clear Igbo variants that are intelligible with the rest of Igbo dialects. |
jamesversion:We are talking about languages and you're talking about politics of expediency. Linguistically, are languages spoken in the places that I listed notvariants of Igbo dialects? Talk true |
kikake:This could have been a good topic for knowledge sake if Nigerians aren't rabid tribalists. The Op was actually talking about indigenous language and at the same time trying to be politically correct. |
umuna:Are you daft? Rotimi is Amaechi adopted name just like Buhari adopted Okechukwu, Itshekiri is a yoruboid language and I'm not surprised if they answer Yoruba names. I'm talking of native names or are you saying the listed names are not indigenous to Ikwerre or is Rotimi also indigenous to Ikwerre? |
umuna:What does Chibuike Amaechi, Nyesom Wike, Elechi Amadi, Obi Wali, Dike etc mean in Ikwerre You should know that these are native names of the aforementioned people. |
LegendHero:Igbo is not a major indigenous language in Akwa Ibom but there are minority villages where Igbo is an indigenous language. |
jamesversion:If you know rivers very well and know what language means, you will know that Igbo is the largest indigenous spoken language in Rivers. Igbo and it's dialects are spoken in Portharcourt lga Emouha lga Opobo Ikwerre lga Onelga Etche Omuma Obigbo Omuma Obio/Akpor Bonny Ahoada East lga |
sreamsense:This is probably Invictus network and that's why there are more Igbos. In other news Yorubas are more into Yahoo, so don't make seem like it's an Igbo thing. |
ItsTutsi:Just like Amaechi, Wike and Odili left Enugu state to become the governors of Rivers state. |
Infinityk:You're largely correct except that 75 is not A1 but rather B2 |
DREAMZZZ:Who be Jamaican there abeg? |
