Only if u've never seen d bridge in question in ur life will u sit behind ur chinco phone to type such a ridiculous comment. Mr Oga, no State can build such a MASSIVE BRIDGE or do u think it's jst like a bridge to ur village?
Man, it spans almost half a Kilometre long & almost same high -All Steel. We are talking $billion Dollars here(embezzlement apart).
I'm nt 4rm SS/SE but you can't blame those State govts, only d FG can embark on such a project.
If u're not sure of something, must u talk!?
You ar a local, i don't need 2 be told u and d pple who liked ur comment hv never been 2 d East. D day u'll pass on that bridge u'll swallow ur vomit.

What is in the bridge that you are shouting. A very modern design and construction would cost far less than been speculated. You think it is all about the size of the iron beams. Corruption will not allow them do what they should do until the bridge collapses then we ll see what Nigerians are made of

9ja_I_hail:

After reading from page one to four, this craps above is what you came up with, please go to bed if you have nothing tangible to say. In your long writing you failed to highlight what Igbos stand to benefit under buhari and tinumbu lead party, or what did buhari did for SE or SS when he was head of state.

My friend are you daft to read and comprehend? Non of us is saying GEJ is the best but so far so good Igbos are benefiting from his administration we cannot afford to leave him right now and join Tinumbu and Buhari whom will have known their intentions towards igbos long ago, or are you saying these two crocks who that lead the party will repent overnight?

Look our forefather made this mistakes in the past by having one Nigeria in mind whereas their counterparts were busy concentrating on their region. If you are truly igbo as you claimed, please i will advice you to zero your mind from that nonsensical attitude of placing Nigeria before Igbo because that is what kept us where we are today.Nigeria is a country where you stand to benefit nothing in political arrangement if you are not tribal.

For now GEJ is better to us than any other president that have rule Nigeria the past, we cannot afford to leave where we are benefiting at the moment and move to a mega party that never consulted us before their arrangement.

I have a question for you. If truly you are an igbo as you claimed, aren't you ashamed that these people did not consult igbos for negotiation before the merger? Your answer to this question will determined if you are an igbo or not.

it is really amazing how you think. I asked questions and all you can do is throw abuse which is exactly what PDP thugs do online.

You keep talking of benefits, benefits, benefits. And I really wonder what the benefits are. That someone was made COAS or whatever is a benefit?, yet you have some of the highest rate of illiteracy, kidnapping etc in Nigeria. Benefit to specific individuals is what you claim to be benefits, I am really so ashamed. Well, that is the typical thinking of the Alaba boys, the Upper-Iweka and Aba-brought up children. So much greed, personal purse, what your family gets, what I can get etc. The same issues I have with my cousins. You send something to the, only one person takes it. Nobody ever thinks of the man on the street.
And when you make mention of Ndigbos, who are they. I can only imagine who the leaders are. The same discombobulated shenanigans parading themselves as Igbo Leaders. I voted for APGA during the Imo election because I wanted PDP out and the same APGA managing 2 or more states cant manage its own affairs and you have the impetus to abuse our collective intelligence because you think you are more Igbo than any other person. The masquerades in the name of elders only represent themselves and their families and not you, a common man looking for how to survive. If Rochas says he is moving, then let him move. And you better be ready to swallow some cyanide come 2015 because all these your useless permutation and combination would fall before your very eyes.
You keep shouting Goodluck is your best chance, Goodluck is your best foot backward and I am still to see how the number of school drop out in Aba has reduced. Those are things we call benefit. I have traveled ABA road 3 times in the last 2 months and I can only imagine if the place is governed by a monkey or a human being. You need to wash your eyes with JIK so you can see better and get out of this unfortunate situation you have put yourself in. You sound like you fought the civil war without even an idea of what happened.

slimghost:

Am sorry but u r not making much sense. Who is talking about PDP here? Real Smart Igbos cannot be fooled with this desperate action of some eternal losers. Yes am anti-GEJ, but treating Igbos with such disrespect will surely cost them come 2015, go ask Buhari and CPC. And FYI woman, Rochas Is neither an Igbo leader nor an APGA leader. Go figure before coming here to display ur ignorance.

this 2015 election will shock a lot of people. Politics is going beyond race and religion, you just might be left behind
Politics / Re: Rochas Okorocha Is On His Own - APGA by Gooogle(m): 4:57pm On Feb 09, 2013
Wow, finally read thru to the last page, really interesting. BTW, I come from the east and have lived in every part of the country and speak the 3 languages fluently and I mean fluently. My questions to my Igbo brothers are these;
(1)For how long are we going to play this race card thing?
(2)Why do we always make ourselves look like the minority that deserves pity from everybody yet we run the economy,
(3)Do you think the igbo mindset of 2013 is the same as that of 2013
(4)Are those benefits you listed really benefits or what you should have in a saner clime
(5) What is the real population of the SE, not the 1.4m that voted for PDP in presidential election and 750k that voted in a keenly contested governorship election

Except you are really really benefiting from the madness going on around you, dont support what is not right otherwise posterity will never forgive you

No need for them to flex muzzle yet with this one. They should let us know what happened with the Okigbo report etc and then they can start. Implement all the 1001 committees report and they can do whatever they want to do with him. Na now dem get energy and want to implement law, rubbish.

Politics / Nigeria Spent N7bn On Mali Crisis - Jonathan by Gooogle(m): 2:48pm On Jan 29, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan hinted on Tuesday that Nigeria has committed $34 million (about N7 billion) on the immediate deployment of troops and logistics support to stop the activities of Islamic terrorists in Mali and return the country to order.

He said he has also made additional $5million pledge to further help that country, even as Nigeria has already deployed 900 combat soldiers and 300 Air Force personnel to Mali as part of the African-led International Support Mission in Mali (AFISMA).

The sum of US$5.5 million out of the N7 billion, according to him, had been used for the re-construction and refurbishment of a number of medical clinics in the military barracks of some of the Malian Defence and Security Forces, as part of the Security Sector Reform (SSR) intervention.

Speaking at the Donors' Conference held at the end of the 20th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Tuesday, Jonathan explained that about $2million of the said amount has been spent on humanitarian relief and supplies, while the additional $5million pledge which was in response to the call for more donations, was a further expression of Nigeria's commitment to the international effort to restore peace in Mali.

The AU had set a target of $50 million, but the total pledges announced at the end of the conference was $455.53 million apart from other commitments made by the donors to contribute to the training of the Malian Defence Forces and other assistance

President Jonathan said, "Nigeria has commenced the deployment of 900 combat soldiers and 300 Air Force personnel to Mali as part of AFISMA. Nigeria has so far provided about $32 million for the immediate deployment and logistic support for the troops.

"Prior to this, Nigeria dispatched relief and humanitarian relief and supplies amounting to US$2 million and Nigeria has undertaken the re-construction and refurbishment of a number of clinics in the military barracks of some of the Malian Defence and Security Forces, as part of the Security Sector Reform (SSR) intervention to the tune of US$5.5 million."

He noted that Nigeria was part of the joint initiative being undertaken by the African Union (AU), Economic Community for West African States (ECOWAS), the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) aimed at mobilizing adequate financial resources in support of the Malian Defense and Security Forces (MDSF) as well as African-led International Support Mission in Mali AFISMA.

The president added that though this initiative would be considered as rather belated, given the rapidly unfolding events in Mali, it was better to start now than to wait even a day longer.

"The collaboration between these four organizations on this initiative is a clear demonstration of international solidarity, sympathy and cooperation required for a definitive resolution of the Malian crisis which has serious international consequences", he noted.

ifeteminikan:
What do you think of security in Lagos recently?.

Almost everybody around me has witness one form of robbery or the other and i begin to wonder if the Government is aware and what they are doing about it.

1) My car was stolen around 9pm at gun-point in front of the house.
2) A member was recently robbed at gun-point infront of Shoprite at ikeja while in traffic
3) My brother's friends were robbed in front of their house @ gun-point too.
4) Two Family friends that just arrived from overseas last discovered that their bags had been torn and some items were missing at the airport.
5)A friend's husband was rough-handled on his street by two guys that wanted to snatch is wrist-watch.

I think most of this crimes are committed by the jobless youths that roam the streets as a result of the ban of okada, traffic hawkers etc in lagos now.

Government needs to create something for this guys to fall back on else the masses will continue to pay dearly for it.

Lets hear your experiences and what can be done to curtail this.

Who be this sef, make we hear word.
All these issues only you? You need to visit a church, they need to baff u for river with candles.

bjdon: Buhari has run for president 3 times and each time his performance in the South was dreadful. I don't see why it would be any different this time. The ACN is actually not as strong anymore as the recent Ondo election showed. People in the SW are now seeing that the ACN are not much different from the PDP with the exception of Fashola and Osho baba. But even if Buhari/Tinubu were to sweep the SW I still don't think it will be enough. As in the last election, the PDP's ground machine in the North East and North west will ensure that Goodluck is at least competitive in the North, while he will win the North Central, SE, and SS.

Very true and well spoken. I really can't understand why the only option being spoken off is a man who will be 74 by 2015 and had lost 3 elections. There must be other candidates from across the Nation who can step forward.

It's so that they can satisfy their desires of throwing a Fashola under him. One even went ahead to advice Buhari to serve one tenure and then hand over to Fashola. The movie sweet sha.

Aside Buhari, the only Nigerian that can win Jonathan/PDP in 2015 is Oshiomhole irrespective of where his deputy comes from. Oshiomhole has nationwide acceptance. If Buhari failed 3ce, i dont doubt a 4th.
