Goosethetruth:Tamar was raped by her brother. She didn't commit any incest. |
lexy2014:If you say you do not see anything, then you're simply biased. The massive road projects across the country, the springing up of moribund industries, the favourable ecomimic ratings of the economy by financial bodies, the influx of foreign industrialists to name a few are good indicators of a reworked foundation for future prosperity. Only kids want to eat now now. Elders wait for the process. It will be tough at the beginning but the price is worth paying. |
Chidibe212:Please read the news and check world bank and IMF ratings for Nigeria's economy currently. Also investigate why industries are springing up, and why foreigners are flocking here to establish. Only kids want to eat now now without waiting for the process to mature. Tinubu's policies are good for Nigeria's future. Only elders can see that. |
lexy2014:There's no magic wand for tackling any of those things you listed even in 4 years. Tinubu has just done 2. |
ComeToJesus:Not so. Instant gratification is not the same as progress. If you cannot make necessary sacrifices for progress, you're gone. And if you think all projects announced by this government are fallacies, just go see things for yourself in Abuja. |
7upnigeria:Exactly. What exactly do his haters want him to do in Lagos as governor that he didn't do? |
I don't know why anyone would say Tinubu is not working. Honestly, I don't understand why some people hate the president in spite of the giant strides he's making as he repositions our moribund economy.. |
Faithscan:I pray that God will reveal Himself to you. There are many religious church goers who call themselves Christians but they're not. A Christian is someone who has an encounter with Jesus and has chosen to be like Jesus. If you have never encountered Jesus, you cannot be a Christian and you cannot understand the Gospel. Now, I believe you know who a Christian is. Let me answer your 20 questions. They're actually canal questions that do not touch the spirit of man. They're mere head calculations that carry no spiritual insight. > “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32And what is that Truth? The Truth is the Word of God, and that Word of God is Jesus. Even your Quran agrees to this. 1. Did Jesus ever clearly and explicitly say, in his own words, “I am God, worship me”?You asked the wrong question actually. Jesus didn't come to the world to proclaim Himself God but to reveal the Father through the Son. You cannot know God any other way except by Revelation. "He who has seen the Son has seen the Father" because the Father and the Son are one. Jesus does not have to say 'Hey, I'm God, worship me ', just as Adam does not have to declare himself as man to have animals submit themselves to him. We know God by Revelation and not by declaration. 2. If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, how can He be “killed” or “die” on a cross? That's human logic with all its limitations. The moment you understand that death is not a total cessation of existence but a translation, you'll have your answer to this question. Jesus died physically but was alive spiritually because when we die on earth, we only translate into the spirit realm. We do not cease to be. We are only in another world. A spirit world. Now, Jesus said He can't be killed but He came to the world for a purpose - redemption. He laid down His life for this purpose and took back His life again. He said "I have power to lay it down and to take it again." That's exactly what He did. He needs to meet Satan in the realm where Satan is, which is hell. He then needs to defeat Satan as a man so as to redeem mankind from the captivity of Satan. This is necessary because man can only be redeemed by man. Since there was no man clean enough to redeem man, all hope was lost for man. God had to intervene by putting on the garment of man. This is why Jesus is the only sinless man who ever lived. And only this sinless man can redeem man. When He died, He went to hell, defeated Satan and got redemption for those who believe. He never ceased to be. He was just in another realm. 3. Why does the Bible say “God is not a man” (Numbers 23:19) if Jesus is God?That "God is not a man* does not mean that God cannot dwell or appear in a human form if He wants to. And He actually did so because He needed to fulfil a task for man which man could not fulfil by himself. Angels too are not men but they do appear in human form. Do you watch movies? A human is not a vampire but humans do act vampires in movies to fulfil a purpose for that period of the movie. That does not make the actor or actress a vampire. He or she is still human. This applies to Jesus. God making Himself man does not mean He's no more God. Jesus is just the man appearance of God that acted as the Redeemer in God's giant plan of redemption. 4. Can something be both 100% God and 100% man at the same time without contradiction?Earth's logic is not heaven's logic. What is not logical on earth can be logical in heaven. The earth is a physical realm while heaven is a spiritual realm. The laws of logic that govern both realms are opposite and incongruent. Let me ask you, Can a man enter through a locked door without opening the door? Earthwise, the answer is NO. It's not logical on the earthly realm. It's impossible. But heavenwise, it is a resounding YES. It's logical. A man can enter through a locked door without opening the door. This is spiritually correct. So, you have the answer to.your question. Earthly speaking, it is illogical but heavenly speaking, it is absolutely logical that Jesus can be 100% God and 100% man. Important note: If your God can be 100% logically exolained, he's probably earthly and not spiritual. If you can physically and logically explain your God, then he's most probably a man like you. There's nothing spiritual about him. If he's a God indeed, there'll be many things about him that'll defy human logic because spirit logic defies human logic naturally. 5. Is believing in a man as God not a form of idolatry (worshipping the creation)?I've previously answered this question and I believe that your misconception about Jesus being a man is already cleared. 6. Why do you believe in the Trinity when the term is never mentioned in the Bible? The Bible does not have to explicitly mention everything for us to have knowledge about the things of God. Infact, we are expected to dig deeper than the mere surface knowledge of the written letters and enter into the Revelations of the Spirit where we can uncover the deep things of God. God is a Trinity and we know that by the Revelation of the Scriptures. We have one God. Only one God - the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. This is just one and same person defined by His functions and attributes. Today, I am a father, a son and husband. I'm a trinity of some sort. I'm not 3 persons. I'm just one. But my being a father, son and husband are all defined by my functions and attributes. 7. Why does the Old Testament emphasize the absolute oneness of God so clearly (e.g. Deuteronomy 6:4)?The absolute oneness of God is maintained throughout the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. 8. Why did Jesus pray to God if he was God? Was he praying to himself? When He was on earth, He maintained all the features of a man 100%. He lived His life solely to teach man how to relate with God and please God. Everything He did was done for our learning and example. When He walked. He taught us how to walk. When He was reviled. He taughtt us how to respond. When He prayed. He taughtt us how to pray. His prayers were a practical demonstration of how we should pray as men. When He solved a problem, He taught us How to solve problems. When He related with difficult people, He taught us how to deal with difficult people. That's why we're Christians. We behave like Jesus after learning how Christ prayed, walked, behaved and related. His whole life including His prayer life was a demonstration to teach by example how man ought to relate with God and his fellow men. 9. If Jesus was “God in the flesh,” who was he referring to when he called on “the Father”?He as man fully demonstrated how we as men ought to relate with God. He called God Father because He wanted us to call Him Father. This is why He's the best teacher who ever lived. He taught by example the practical things of the Kingdom. 10. Why did Jesus say, “The Father is greater than I” (John 14:28)?Yeah, the human actor is always greater than whatever character he is acting. The human actor is the real deal. Whenever character he is acting is just a temporal appearance of himself. 11. Why did Jesus not know the hour of the Day of Judgment if he was fully God? (Mark 13:32)God knows the hour and day of judgement but Jesus in His human form had to do everything as man. He demonstrated human limitations so that we can understand the subject of Faith. It will be impossible for us to walk like Jesus walked if we believe that Jesus was superhuman in His earthly form. Then, we'll put a limit on ourselves with the excuse that Jesus was superhuman and we're not. But God wanted us to do.mighty works, and Jesus came to demonstrate what God can do through limited men. We can do the greater works He commanded us to do today because we know that everything He did, He did them with all the limitations of man, and therefore, we also can do them in spite of our human limitations. Jesus had to demonstrate human limitations in order to teach us that God can work through limited humans the same way we see in Jesus' miracles. 12. Why is salvation in Christianity based on the murder of an innocent man (Jesus) for the sins of others?Blood is the only Soap that cleanses sins. Sin is a spiritual contaminanation that can only be washed by spiritual soap - blood. The blood of animals that had no blemish, I mean the figurative use of the 'innocent' animals in the Old Testament made people clean for only a year. God wanted to abolish animal sacrifices, but sin must be washed. He came down Himself and abolished it through the blood of Jesus who is without blemish. The innocent man you talked about. His cleaning does not need yearly renewals. It is eternal. The eternal soap that washes away sins. You need that soap today, my friend. 13. Does a loving God need a blood sacrifice to forgive?A loving father does not need soap to forgive his son who played himself dirty in muddy waters but he surely needs soap to wash him clean. 14. If salvation comes through faith alone, why did Jesus say to obey the commandments to enter eternal life? (Matthew 19:17)This is because faith empowers us to do the commandments without observing the commandments. Faith in Christ allows the Holy Spirit to live through you so that you do not need to observe the commandments. You naturally live the commandments by faith. The Holy Spirit obeys the commandments through you. You cannot break the commandments when your life is being lived by the Spirit of God that was given you when you became a son or daughter of God. Every child of God has the Spirit of God in them which empowers them to obey the commandments without observing the commandments. 15. Why do most Christians follow Paul more than Jesus?Christians don't follow Paul. Christians follow Jesus just as Paul who also followed Jesus. Jesus brought Grace (John 1:16-17), Paul only explained it according to his calling. All Christians are monotheists as was Paul also. 16. Why do so many biblical scholars and historians question the authenticity and authorship of major books in the New Testament?Because they constantly want to be sure of the truth. But most of them only use head logic. They do not know Jesus. They have no encounter with Him. They're Christian scholars but not Christians. Those of us who have encountered Jesus have the inner witness, and we know the difference between that which is of God and of man. Any book that edifies the spirit of a child of God is the Word of God. [17. How can a book written decades after Jesus, with anonymous authors, be accepted as God's Word without question? No. Not all the authors are anonymous. Some are, and some are not. All the books were written and known in the time of Jesus' disciples. Books given credence to by them and their disciples whom we call Church fathers are what we use today. 18. Why are there over 30,000 Christian denominations if the Bible is “clear” and guided by the Holy Spirit? The Bible is clear and guided by the Holy Spirit but individual humans have different levels of understanding. Each denomination is founded by a leader who operates according to what he understands in terms of doctrine. Whatever we believe does not actually matter. What matters is the foundation of faith - that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died and rose again, and that He'll return to take us to Himself. This is the foundation that unites us. We all have one Father but no matter how simple a father is, his many children will have different definitions of him. That does not make them less his children. Their oneness is hinged on the foundational beliefs and general understanding that they all have about their father. This is the unity is Christiendom. We have no rancour. We are all one except for those children of Satan who pretend to be children of God. 19. If Jesus came only for the lost sheep of Israel (Matthew 15:24), why do Gentiles (non-Jews) claim his message is for them?Jesus came to the world by prophecy and was sent to the whole world (John 3:16). The lost sheep of Israel is a spiritual symbolism which means people who are separated from God. Today, we are the hitherto lost sheep that have been found and restored back into the sheepfold. We are the spiritual Israel whom Christ came to find. For we all are the children of Abraham by faith in Christ Jesus. 20. Would Jesus recognize today’s Christianity—with its rituals, holidays, and beliefs—as his true message?Jesus is not coming back to recognize any religion. He's coming back for His saints who opened the doors of their hearts to Him and have made Him their Lord and Master. If the spirit of Christ does not dwell in you, you are none of His. It doesn't matter what you call yourself - pastor, evangelist, or whatever. Jesus is coming only for those His people who have the seal of His Spirit which is the seal of salvation. Not for those practicing religion. Final Reflection:Very applicable to Islam. In Islam, the prophet of Allah was a known terrorist who shed people's blood. He was not a sinless man. He snatched his son's wife. Married a 6yr old and fingered her until he had sex with her when she was 9. He robbed caravans and killed anyone who.rejected his prophethood. Yet, many follow him blindly and call him the best of humans without any questioning. Short ConclusionNo, no Christian is shaken by these questions. Even the norminal church goer who has no encounter with Jesus would pass off your questions as coming from an ignorant and childish mind. These questions shake no one. > “God is not the author of confusion…” – 1 Corinthians 14:33Yeah, and God has given us the clarity of all things through the illumination of the Holy Ghost according to His infinite power and grace. But the carnal man cannot understand the things of the Spirit. |
MaxInDHouse:Of course to the worshippers of Zeus, Ra, Hermes, etc, they're all Gods but do we submit to their standards or the standards of the Holy Scriptures? To us, there is only one God - the God. One Father, the Father. Not father (small f). This capital F of a Father is who Jesus was called in Isaiah 9:6. The Everlasting Father. Not the Everlasting father. The Son that was born is not the father or the everlasting father but The Everlasting Father which is also the Mighty God. |
MaxInDHouse:Yeah, there is. There's nothing like a God because there's only one God - The God. A god, not a God refers to idols. |
MaxInDHouse:God didn't make Moses God. He only made him a god, not God to Pharaoh. Only Pharaoh. To command pharaoh and to show him power. That's all. Jesus was not made God. He is God. Tell me where He was made God. Moses was not Devine. Jesus is. He is the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God. |
MaxInDHouse:Unfortunately, the Bible didn't say o. The Bible says there's only One God and Father. "But for us, "There is only one God, the Father." For us, there's only one God, the Father. For the infidels and unbelievers, there are Mighty Gods. Everlasting Father means through him billions of humans will be redeemed as God's children born by faith in Christ. There's only one Father unfortunately and there's no meaning to it. The only Everlasting Father is the Almighty God. There's no other who.takes the title of EVERLASTING other than the Mighty God. "But for us, "There is only one God, the Father. I wouldn't have responded to this thread if that commentator did not mention "Jehovah's Witnesses" we know the role Jesus played in the salvation of mankind but that he is our God?He is not your God because you have an alien Gospel founded on your own custom Bible. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Ephesians 4:5-6. |
MaxInDHouse:Who is actually this Son of your God? "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 6:9. Does it contradict the "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father statement of Christ? Does it contradict the notion that God raised Christ from the dead and Christ said He Himself would raise the temple in 3 days? Your position contradicts all the above. If the Father is an entirely different personality from the Son, then those scriptures above are false. But since the Scriptures are never false, then, your position is false. |
Veenview:A similar experience in which I have heard God speak audibly to me happened in Winners' Chapel in 2001. I wanted to use the computer in the Resident Pastor's office. It was the only computer the church branch had at the time. I needed it for an important task but the Resident Pastor had traveled. I do not need his permission to use the system actually, so I just sat to it and booted the PC. Unknown to me, the Pastor had passworded the system before he traveled. This was actually unusual. The system had never been passworded before this time. So, I was taken aback and wondered why the pastor had passworded the PC. Now, I had a very important task to undertake but without access to the system, everything will flop. So, I just muttered 3 times "Holy Spirit, what's the password to this system?" Then, immediately, I heard the word "Jehovah". I typed the word into the system and it immediately opened up. This actually is one of the most profound miracles I have experienced in those years as a new believer in Christ. This, in addition to the one I shared above and very many other numerous experiences remain unforgettable memories for me. |
vickvan:I have had many miraculous experiences and even one very similar to this experience of yours which happened in 2001 at Winners' Chappel, Oyo. At the time, I was in charge of all keys leading to the bookshop and church offices. A huge bunch of keys. I misplaced the bunch and searched everywhere for them from about 10 am in the morning till about 4pm in the evening, all to no avail. Tired and apprehensive of the impending danger and trouble in which I'll soon find myself when everyone comes to know that the bunch was missing. I stood at the door of one of the offices and said "Lord, you said everyone that seeketh findeth. I've sought the keys, please help me find. I know You know where the keys are right now." Then, after uttering those words, I just walked straight to the Church auditorium aimlessly and then straight to a row of seats close to the altar, and found the bunch of keys in one of the chairs on that row. It was an amazing experience for me, and has remained an unforgettable event in the history of my life. I appreciate God for His great goodness and the faithfulness He has to His Word. |
MaxInDHouse:Do you know that you only need to know this Jesus Christ in order to know this only true God? You don't need to know anything else to know God. Just know Jesus Christ. Why? "Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? ANYONE WHO HAS SEEN ME HAS SEEN THE FATHER . How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?" John 14:9 |
Difrent:I didn't say Saudi has a relationship with Israel. I said they're discussing it with Saudi holding back because of the Palestinian conflict. I said Israel and Saudi don't see themselves as enemies. Meanwhile, Saudi and Iran are enemies. Kim Jong UN has nukes but does not shout 'death to anybody'! He does not have any ideology of annihilating any nation. He does not sponsor terrorists around the world. How do you guys even reason? How can you place Iran and North Korea on the same pedestal? North Korea is not a nuclear threat to anybody. Iran has openly declared death to Israel and have raised terrorist groups who have a charter to keep fighting until the last Jew is dead! Please take your deceptions away. Israel has helped Iran in the past before the blood sucking ayatollah came to.power in 1979. If there's a regime change today with no anti Israel disposition, Israel won't have any issue with Iran having nukes. Ayatollah cannot have nukes. He'll never have it. If you're always chanting death to me, I won't allow you hold any weapon! |
Difrent:You islamists cannot survive without lying! Israel and Saudi Arabia don't see themselves as enemies but the same cannot be said of Iran and Saudi! Israel and Saudi are currently talking about having business relationships. Saudi is only holding back because of the Palestinian conflict. Iran shouts 'death to.isreal' all the time and have that ideology of obliterating the nation of Israel. They armed Hezbollah, Hamas and all those terrorist organizations for this same purpose! Your Quran has said you should not allow Christians and Jews to live, and that's exactly what Iran follows. Iran sees Saudi and all Sunni Muslims as infidels. They'll annihilate you for the same reason Boko haram attacks your mosques! Saudi will not be safe if Iran has nuclear weapons. Have you seen Saudi Arabia condemning Israel's attack on Iran? |
madridguy:At least you can confirm historically that he's not lying! You black Muslims are really bereft of knowledge. Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and most Sunni Arab nations are happy about what Israel is doing to Iran but you ignoramuses only see religion and not reason. If Iran gets nuclear power, it will not hesitate to nuke your beloved Mecca because till date, Iran is a staunch enemy of Saudi Arabia. America has been protecting your Mecca, yet you empty islamic fanatics continue to chant 'death to America'. Israel is in good terms with Saudi Arabia. What does that tell you? Iran is the one arming and sponsoring terrorists around the world. If Iran gets nuclear armed today, even you will not be safe. Use your head. |
cezarman:All what you listed above are for those practicing Christianity as a religion. True worshippers don't practice religion. They serve God because they love God. |
Anguldi:If you chase God, provision will chase you automatically. If you chase provision while pretending to be serving God, you'll never have enough. |
He was serving God for food, house, money and cars. Serving God for the wrong reasons. God cannot be deceived. We serve God because we love Him. Not because we want cars or money! |
Speaklove:Well explained. Thanks very much, and God bless you real good. |
Exgee:My brother, since you're a Christian, I can advice you. Every accident leaves you with a traumatic experience that opens doors to demons. Through that trauma, the demons will cause unexplainable fear and establish a phobia. Consequently, the traumatic incident, in your case, the accidents will continue to happen and may even become generational. If not taken care of, your children will have the same phobia and would also become accident prone. Go for deliverance my brother. Tell your story to a deliverance minister. Let them separate your soul from the memory of the accident that took your dad. Let them break the soul tie between you and the first accident that happened to you. Let them usher the peace of God to dwell in your heart and cast out the spirit of fear and death. You shall be free in Jesus name. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 |
Speaklove:This is deep. I have once argued with some fellow Christians who thought that astrology is harmless and should be encouraged in Christiendom. I do not initially believe that the heavenly bodies of the Sun, Moon or Stars should exercise any influence on the earth but by reading about your testimony and your vision, I see the need to readjust. I am an intercessor myself and would like to know more about these things. Do you have any broader sphere of knowledge on these and how these bodies affect territories, families and nations? If you do, kindly share. Ignorance is the most potent weapon Satan has against believers. |
It shall be well |
CreativeOrbit:I'm sure gohf will return to answer you but I need to address some issues I found with your so called Islamic theology. By referencing your Quran which placed Allah and the Messiah as lords, gohf was not cherry picking. He was making a very valid point in tandem with the question he asked. First, judging by your response, does the word 'lord' have a different meaning in Islam? And if the Quran blames the Christians and Jews for taking some others as lords instead of Allah and the Messiah, do you not see that the Quran indirectly juxtaposes Allah and the Messiah as the only acceptable lords? If the Messiah is as acceptable as a lord as much as Allah, then, who is Mohammed and why should the Messiah be his follower? First, the Qur’an does not call Jesus “Lord” (Rabb) in the way Christians use it. Islam calls him Messiah (al-Masih), a prophet, the Word of God, born of a virgin, and highly honored—but not divine. Can you see the obvious contradiction? The Quran, by putting Allah and the Messiah as the only lords that should have been acceptable for Christians and Jews to acknowledge, this your point is very watery and lacks substance. That's why I asked earlier, does the word 'lord' have a different meaning in Islam? And if it does, what type of lord is Allah, and what type of lord is the Messiah? However, is it not already obvious that the Quran by that statement recognizes only two lords - Allah and the Messiah? So then again, where is Mohammed, and why must the Messiah be his follower? 2. “You honor him lesser than Muhammad?” – That’s not a contradiction. That’s consistent theology. That's a big contradiction and an obvious inconsistency. You cannot rank someone as lord and still say he's the follower of someone else who's nothing near a lord. Especially when that lord is the only one recognized in conjunction with Allah. Can you make this make sense? 3. “Adam was forgiven but it says they will all go to hell?” – Learn to read before you debate.Yeah, that's the very bone of contention. Why must anyone first go to hell in the first place? Allah does not know those who sinned and those who did righteously? He must first cast everyone to hell unjustly before he comes to save those he wants to save? Is it just for a judge to cast all to prison before they're even accused and tried? Is the fire of this earth palatable for even a one minute duration of burning, let alone the fire of hell? Can you actually stand being burnt in an oven for 1 minute? Allah did not even provide any duration of your stay in hell. You'll be there for as long as he wishes until he comes to save you? Can you make it make sense? 4. “Even creativeorbit said the Messiah Lord will follow Muhammad” – Exactly. That’s Islamic eschatology. No! The real confusion is in making the only lord juxtaposed with Allah a follower of a mere prophet. Would Allah follow Mohammed too? Final word:You actually created more confusion and even more illogical and contradictory lines of thought. The onus lies on you to make your positions make sense to a thinking human. I find it even more amusing when you stated that Jesus is recognized in Islam as the Word of God but not Devine. You mean the Word of God is ordinary and equatable to any other mundane and earthly phenomenon? Is the Word if God mortal? Is it terrestrial? God is Devine and speaks divinity from heaven. His words are divine. They're not ordinary words. How can Jesus be ordinary if He's indeed the Word of God? Can you see another obvious contraction? You should throw away your Quran if the Word of God is not divine. Shakespeare's novels might hold better value than your Quran if it's not Devine. Or is the Quran not the word of God too? Hey, I'm not insulting your book! The point I'm making is that If Jesus is the Word of God, then, He's Devine and not ordinary. If Jesus the Word of God is not Devine, then, the Quran which you also call the word of God too is not Devine. |
TheRareGem1:Great speech! There's a lot of lessons here for upcoming African leaders. The present crop of leaders in Africa cannot be remedied. Africa's only hope is in its future leaders. Take this advice from Osibanjo and also remember that the West is not your friend; you'll be a good leader to your nation. |
sreamsense:Thanks very much. Just like yourself, I am also not a member of MFM but I know Olukoya very well and by what I know of his Christian standing and character, I am very confident that he cannot be engaged in such things as those being alleged and propagated by Olaadegbu. The Bible says "Try all spirits...hold fast to that which is true". An instruction Olaadegbu has blatantly tossed into the wind. I have concluded that this guy is not a Christian. He has no single evidence of all the allegations except the propaganda he picks from his wicked source. |
