So, you didn't see from the story of job that his children were not kids? You didn't even read where they were celebrating birthdays in their eldest brother's house? Do kids have their own houses to gather in and arrange merriment for themselves?

All things were created by God including calamity for the punishment of the wicked. Satan and men also do calamities against their perceived enemies. Even you yourself must have hurt someone before for doing you something bad. Did God do it or you? When Satan does calamity, did God do it or Satan? God's calamities and word are never poured on the righteous but on the wicked as an instrument of judgement.

Why was John beheaded? He was persecuted for preaching righteousness and telling the king his wrongs for snatching his brother's wife. That's a persecution.

And who told you kids needs rightousness not to die? Where is this thing about righteousness in Job's story? In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus rebuked the disciples for trying to keep children away, saying, "Let the children come to me; do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these".

Righteousness does not deliver from trouble! John the baptist was righteous but ended up being beheaded!
Even your Biblical Jesus was righteous but ended up being crucified!
No difference between them and Judas even Judas died a better death!
Even many of the disciples died similarly! Can you say they were not righteous?

You're not understanding it. Should I start teaching you fundamentals? Righteousness does not deliver from trouble? You recounted incidences of persecution, and used persecution to establish that righteousness does not profit. The righteous is constantly persecuted and sometimes he could be martyred.

When we're talking about trouble, we're talking about satanic doings. Not events that seek to punish you for serving God. Job was not persecuted like those you mentioned. His case was a different case. He was taking exams that later brought him his promotion after he passed. The calamities cooked and orchestrated by wicked forces of darkness in a wicked world for no reason like in the case of job, that's what we call trouble. The righteous embrace persecution gladly. Jesus didn't reject the cross even though He could. He even rejected Plate's help. The disciples of Jesus were mostly given the opportunity to choose not to die but they chose death instead. When Muslim terrorists meet a man and ask him to convert to Islam or die; if he maintains his stand with Jesus and got killed by the murderous islamists, he's persecuted and martyred. That's not the trouble we're talking about.

Job's children were not kids. They were full grown adults who had become accountable for their own actions, so much so that job usually feared that his sons might have cursed God or sinned against God in some ways.

Everyone is meeting Jesus except you. See how twisted your knowledge of God is. Can you quote any specific verse of Scripture where God gave any specific instructions to Satan to do any specific things to Job? Satan walks freely on the earth, and could meet anyone as a visitor if he has his gates ajar.

It did. For clarity, God has destined all humans to reach their highest peaks in life but each human would determine how far he wants to go.

God doesn't think in terms of riches or poverty. God thinks in terms of the fulfillment of purpose. And for this, God has not set any limitation for anyone. Your purpose would bring you many opportunities to be rich if you pursue it the right way.

I get you and your question! It is true no one else witnessed what Job did in the Bible! Each man to his or her own trials. Job had his own just as others had theirs.

But my own question is what's the crime of Job's first set of children?

You don't understand.

God didn't do anything. He just allowed Satan to attack job. However, Satan could not get at job because his righteous built a wall of protection around him. His children on the other hand didn't have that wall that righteousness provides, and Satan got them. Righteousness delivers from trouble.

For example, going into a particular shrine might backfire if you wear certain colors of clothing, don't face certain directions while entering or touching forbidden objects. For example If you enter with your front into a place or section where you're supposed to walk backwards, you'll die (God forbid it for you) if you don't have Jesus whose power is above all powers. It's automatic. Like the case of this guy in reference. There have been many deaths in shrines of people who went to carry community deities. You can ask around. They do fortify themselves and enter such places because a white man is ready to buy for millions of naira. They don't return. This guy's case is not the first.

So, God is merciful. No matter what you do, He'll give you the opportunity to repent until the day you die. After death, no more opportunity for repentance. But Satan is not like that. He'll kill the offender instantly.

Just go to yeye osun shrine in Osogbo and once you're in there, curse the goddess under your breath (you don't need to shout, she'll hear what you said). From the very day you set your mind to that journey, she'll already know you're coming. Well, you're not getting the message, and you don't seem to understand the basis for my question.

Job's case was a peculiar one. What happened to him never happened again to anyone in the Bible. God was using Job to set a standard for faith, trust and obedience. Jobs purpose for living, and that of his children was to teach upcoming generations of believers about the need to persevere in times of hardness. No matter what besides, like job, we will overcome. If job made it, then anyone can. By this, job fulfilled his purpose for living, and he was rewarded here and for all eternity. Till today, Job's story remains a reference point for inspired hope, faith and resilience in pursuing the ultimate fulfillment of God's will for the believers.

I just went through that story. Someone was carrying a heavy object and was found dead after. What does that tell you? Did it occur to you the object coulda fallen on his chest or abdomen and led to his death? Was an autopsy concluded? So how did y'all arrive at the conclusion that the Idol bewitched him? But logical reason didn't tell us that he's not the only one who has carried heavy objects in the world? Why is his case peculiar? Did the report tell you that something fell on him? I have observed that you atheists live in a world of deliberate constant denial in order for you to convince yourselves that the spiritual does not exist.
