@ViceAdmiral
The CDF in the open briefing before the demo said that the new Corvettes would most likely not be purchased from China and that they are the missing pieces of the Navy he then completed his answer to say"Once we add those to our fleet,we will be sorted"
BTW my money is on the Barosso Class

Scenes from the Naval Demo earlier today
Wish I could've taken better pics
But was positioned at a horrible spot
On a side note during the program
The Chief of the Defence force emphasized the need for the Navy to purchase Two-Three Corvettes as the Elephant is "Not a warship and was only bought to boost our Offshore capabilities"-Quote unquote-
Hopefully the C-I-C got the message

@ViceAdmiral
The Military is building a Marine corps base on Impalila island to function as a launch point for Helicopter/Boat/foot patrols along the Okavango river and as a training in Jungle warfare...not sure when it's going to be operational
Also,I think a strong military presence is required over there because of our not so friendly neighbor

Picture curtesy of Nigerian Military couples
I'm especially fond of this image smiley

They put emphasis on the "This is still a Warship"and told me that no pictures were allowed on board the Elephant...The only picture they allowed me to take was the one with the Officer that I posted sometime last month on this thread(But cropped myself out)
