@ViceAdmiral
I think our Navy should adopt this uniform from the NYS
As a "Navy working Camo" as the Americans put it

ViceAdmiral:
I think the only deal that will probably survive the economic woes is the MK111....we can't afford(and probably have no skills to operate) other listed items especially the Gripen or Barroso class corvette

By the way which unit is responsible for COIN in the police the Special Field Force or Special Reserve Force?
That would be the Special Reserve Force
Did you know smiley that it costs our Government R2million to send a Special Forces Operator for training in Russia?
Namibian Marine corps

MBT3000 is an exellent platform... it caused the Russians to freak out and order a mass upgrade of their T90's to a new standard of T90AM

Where are you getting Oryx from?
From you guys :-)

ViceAdmiral:
That makes two of us....its about time the MLRS we have in service are retired to the Museum grin ...I don't see us getting the IVECO Guarani though not with the current 'financial belt tightening'...but either way i prefer the Brazilians any day of the year grin....Have u gotten wind of any planned purchases for the armed forces....any news on the MK111
Indeed for sure we're in the process of Ordering Chinese MBT3000(Not sure how many units)
Dornier Do-28 for Maritime Surveillance
Also expressed Interest in Barosso Class Corvette(Again the Brazilians)
Oryx Helicopter(X2 for use by the President and high ranking officials) and then a much larger order later on this year
And we're definitely replacing our F-7's(But it's still between the Gripen and the J-10)
And that's pretty much it...
20 MK3 units on the assembly line at MK3(Not sure they're for us though)

ViceAdmiral:
Its my understanding that the current agreement with Brazil is being extended to the Army so expect soldiers to be sent to Brazil for training much like the Navy
The Brazilians are being rather "friendly" these days...They don't wan't the Chinese to take their places grin Talks are being held for the Sale of Avibras Astros II MLRS and they are also imposing their IVECO Guarani on us(Either to jointly manufacture it at WMF or to sell some units to us)like the Agrale Marrua...In all honesty I prefer the Brazilians to the Chinese

Should have gotten the iKlwa variant*

Anyway, good to see that they choose a vehical that was designed for Africans by Africans. Pity that the Rooikat is out of production... also a pity that the AMCIT turret and GI-30 does not fit on the Ratel.
I remember sitting in parliament two years back during the Annual Defense report and a member of the procurement team proposed the procurement of 80 IKLWA APC's for the Namibian Marine Corps...wonder what happened to that
Must be the founding...
