ViceAdmiral:
Gottfried i got a million questions for u right now...

Seeing that we bought the Agrale Marruas from Brazil(when it was said we wer interested in a Chinese copy of the HUMVEE)...We bought the Kornet ATGM and those 183 trucks from Russia Im sort of seeing our military not 'preferring' Chinese equipment in the future...NOW does that speak volumes about the performance the Chinese equipment we have in service(Could the equipment be that bad huh)

Also seeing that our second last Chief of Defence Force was (forcibly cool) honorably 'retired' after he was exposed as having accepted money from a Chinese defense company that was doing business with our military at the time could that indicate that Chinese equipment was bought coz Generals wer given 'commissions' huh Whats your take?
I suggest sitting in when parliament discusses the procurement of weapons wink (it's open to the public) The recent acquisition was just part of an arms deal the Russians offered us...Which we paid for using the barter system...Ever since the new Minister of Defence to office...The military has been trying to "Diversify" their arsenal...They are also in talk with the German Governemnt to provide a H&K model which can be used to as the new Standard Issue Rifle

I just finished watching an episode of World's toughest Military jobs and this week they gave a look at the U.S. Pararescue squad...After watching that I feel like they could've carried out the operation better undecided ....In that department the states definitely beats Russia undecided

Now that the dust is settling somewhat, Russia's first effort to rescue the downed Fencer pilots was so tactically inept it was doomed to fail. I explain my reasons over at the discussion thread here: https://www.nairaland.com/1962290/african-militaries-strictly-discussions-thread/7#40487927

How bad are things in Angola right now....i rarely follow much about them
I'm hearing talks of a coup,an uprising and even another civil war...But the countriy is definitely deteriorating...Apparently Namibia should expect a mass influx of refugees...And for fighting to spill over into the northern part of the country
