I know, German grammar can't be circumnavigated like English. So one has to be really careful when using the language.

Check the site very well, you will see option for English. It's usually kind of hidden at the top or right side. If you still can't find it, then use Google translator. Copy the link and paste it in Google (you will see option to translate) . Most of the sites if not all have options for English. Just check. grin
prolific1:
Good day all, please how do you go about applying to a German university? I went through DAAD and saw some programs offered in English when I followed the link provided, it was written in German. Please what do I do?
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by GottSeiDank: 11:34pm On Sep 13, 2015
As the 2015 bus is about to leave for Deutschland finally, the 2016 bus is already heading towards the terminal ( even daad can confirm to that as their website has been updated to 2016) and getting prepare to take as much as possible but only those who are willing. So if you are interested in this interesting adventure, make yourself known as ghost mode will not be permitted to join the fun (we are moving as a family) . To ensure a safe trip, we will be needing all the advice and suggestions from our bosses who are heading to Deutschland and those there already. Don't worry guys, we are in safe hands oga Justwise will drive us safely to our destination. grin

To all #team2016 hopeful, if you have the opportunity to learn the German language please do. As you are gathering your documents and preparing to apply to different schools, it will do you well by learning the language. You will integrate well and gets better student jobs with other lots of benefits . I will advice you enroll at Goethe Institut but you can also learn on your own, there are lots of materials online. But trust me learning at the Institute is better. A1-A2 or maybe B1 will do. Make sure learning the language is part of your to-do list. grin
Danke schön

You applied to MIP in Uni Stuttgart. The program is winter only which means your admission will be winter 2016 because I think admission for 2015 has been finalized. Uni Stuttgart is part of TU9 and the City is great too. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND. Guys already there can tell you more about the city and student job. Don't wait till you get admission before learning the Language. If you can start now why not huh
michlan:
Hello house,

Please I need anyone who can help with advice regarding studying at university of stuttgart. I sent my application for masters program Infrastructure planning and waiting for admission to come out. I however need advice from experienced people in the house about the school and the city. How easy will it be to get a job as a foreign student who doesn't speak German? I plan to start German language immediately the admission comes out. Thanks

Is it not better to pay more for extra luggages than buying winter clothes at exorbitant prices over there. I would rather buy enough and sell it to guys over there sef. Hustle don start be that. cool
Williamso:
Y'all planning on buying your winter clothes before travelling, don't forget to watch the weight... You might end up paying more for them (in excess luggage).
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by GottSeiDank: 9:44pm On Sep 06, 2015
He is right, they are far cheaper than Yaba and Idumota. But note that they ain't new clothes. So you are buying used cloth with good quality. Don't be surprise if someone approach you in Deutschland and says 'Entschuldigung Sie, ist das meine Jacke? ( Just kidding anyway) grin
dolpaz:
Lolz.. It called Katangowa market.. super bus stop, abule egba. in my opinion, it's far more better and cheaper than Yaba or Idumota.

Good quality clothes, shirts, Jeans and Thick winter Jackets are available.

Thank me later wink

Man spricht, was man schon mal gehört hatte meaning you speak, what you've heard before.
Deutsche Welle got news in German that are read slowly for learners and they also got the written news with it.
Try listening to different news 1-2hrs daily as training.
Mine was tv shows involving court cases as in court cases, the judges and all involved speak at moderate not so fast level.

Just doing my best to help in whatever way I can...Deutsch ist nicht leicht. Every day a new word is learned. In the beginning it can be very frustrating....
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by GottSeiDank: 2:53pm On Sep 04, 2015
Wunderschön @Zeeblamj01 reading through this makes me remember my Schritte plus books. The gender, imperativ, Akkusativ, Dativ und so weiter. Learning Deutsch requires lots of hardwork and commitment. I must confess, you doing a good on this forum grin. Also, wie kann man die Entwicklung zu sprechen?
Zeeblamj01:
Hi... I know it's difficult. But start like this. German is not thesame as English or French. That system simply will not work.............

Hello my people! Please has anyone had an error with the WAEC certificate? The date of birth on mine is not correct ( specifically the year). Am thinking of going to their office to request for correction. Has anyone had that experience? How long does it take for correction ? Or maybe there is an alternative? Because am finally gathering my documents and preparing for certification soon. Please I need you advice and suggestions.

50% cut is much but better than nothing. Just go back to your drawing board and re-strategize.
Wish you all the best bro. grin
kayluxneedsu:
Thank you bro. Refund claim already placed but just 50%. No issue, am getting it back in 1week...

Thank you all for your opinion, suggestions and advise.
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by GottSeiDank:
I will also go with the suggestion of my bosses. Request for a refund (if possible huh). Then enroll for the language class staring by Sept, then by December you'll already have A1. Goethe runs three semester in a year, so by July or August Gbam!! B1 and by the time you say jack, you will be smiling with your B2. That means you could even apply for winter 2016 or summer 2017. You know you can also hustle while studying the language for your dB. But sincerely, It's better you look for English language taught courses and learn the language for communication and student jobs. B1 level should do.
kayluxneedsu:
Well, mistake made...

Pleas house, what are your suggestions and the way forward?
