Hehehehe, u sef u can price oooo, you can't get the original for that amount oooo, my neighbour has been using it for over 4 years now and it's not remote start, unless they have modified it. I think the bigger one is remote start. |

fineboynl: can you send the link? I can't find anything like this on jumia.
also I have 1.5hp lg normal AC. will this work with the generator? Prices have gone up, it's better to check out the price at their show rooms now, some Jumia sellers just stamp whatever they like as prices. On the AC part, it's not advisable unless on the inverter type, though someone said here his friend has been using non inverter AC on his for over a year now. |

fineboynl: is this generator original 4.8kva rating
SV8500E2
it's very cheap Inside of you knows it's too good to be true right? Even before the lock down last year, there's no way you could get a 4.8kva generator for such amount, no need to waste your cash on this unless you wish to experiment. |

thepoweruser: @Gptech Look, you all shouldn't be taking sides here. We're the consumers here, competition is never a bad thing (look at Intel before the return of AMD). Competition is good for everybody. It drives costs down and brings about innovation (compare the smartphone scene and the difference between phones of the year 2017-2018 and 2020-2021). Exynos is Qualcomm's biggest rival after MediaTek. Qualcomm have basically been sitting on their asses. For example, they were smug about the Snapdragon 765G being the chip to take 5G mainstream. Then Mediatek began their attack with the Dimensity series and now they were the ones that brought 5G to even lower price points. No, I am not taking sides even though I have my personal preference. Competition is favourable to consumers as you rightly said ; that's what we need to get the best value for money. If not for Exynos that outperformed Snapdragon in that fateful year, I believe we would be getting performances of at least 3 years ago in 2021 phones. MediaTek currently is doing great! They are the ones actually putting the likes of Qualcomm on their heels, if not we would have been made to pay with an arm for recent innovations like 5G. |

Mcslize: That's seriously serious!
Android producers should stick to the the size of iPhone. I can't be dragging a plasma TV about as phone. Haba! Make them reason am na. You mean the 3.5 inch IPhones? Apple is already copying Android on that, the IPhone 12 pro max is 6.7 inch, bigger than the Redmi note 9s in terms of screen size . |

Mcslize: I bought the redmi note 9 pro. But redmi phones are getting too big. I meant the phone screen is extremely too big. I would have loved it more if it is 6.3" size as against the 6.67".
Too big Better get used to it now, it's just a matter of time, we are heading to 7 inch being the standard. We complained when transiting from 3.5/ 4 inch to 5 inch screens, we'll adapt fast . |

Daniel2802: Hello bosses in the house, I appreciate the work y'all are doing on this thread.
School go soon resume and I and my flatmates are planning on getting a gen to use.
The flat is a three bedroom flat, we have no fridge or any other thing that would require the need of a gen.
It's basically for bulbs and to charge our laptops, phones and gadgets.
There's this Sumec Firman that is almost the size of I pass my neighbour but I can't remember how it is.
Any recommendations? Range of price? It should be durable and cost efficient, na students we be abeg.
Thanks. Cc Gptech I was in a store two years back and saw two fakes of this particular firman you are talking about. To get the original is not easy, in fact prof recommends Tec junior for this size of generator, it's between 75-85k currently. |

GreekDon: I have been using Maxi EK28 since May 2020, and so far no issues. Fuel consumption isn't bad either. I normally service the generator every 200 hours with Castrol 10w 40. The 1 litre can retails at 2,800.
And always buy from LG show room. 200 hours , don't you think it's too much for the generator? Oil should have lost almost all its properties by then, even 100 hours is much already. |

I believe the woeful performances of the snapdragon 810 and 808 processors did good to the Mid range market. I think Qualcomm had to win people's confidence back and so decided to release a really powerful mid range processor in the Snapdragon 650/652, it was a huge success. |

molybdenum0012: Base on advice I got here, I was thinking of getting a tech Bobo generator 2.5kva, after searching more than 10 stores, I only got it in one store for 123k or so. I decided to check more stores, but those guys told me thermool generator is not advicable 'cos their spare parts are hard to get if faulty.
How true is this?
I still wonder why most stores dont have it, like it is phasing out or something. You checked the wrong stores, only check Thermocool accredited stores. I think they don't sell to any store or dealer so as to combat counterfeits. That's the problem Firman/Sumec is facing currently, so many fakes available in the Nigerian market. Regarding spare parts, that's what you'll be told by those sellers of course so that they can sell what they have. You'll get whatever you need in thermocool repair centers, I think they are around you. Lastly, most of the parts you'll actually need are similar to what other generators use. Modified : I would rather get the captain instead of the Bobo at such price, don't even mind spending more. My reason is just for aesthetics. They have same ratings though.
