Liftedhands:Chineke nna m. 13 and the weight is 3kg. My dear, have they done transfusion yet? How many days old is she? I wish you can respond quickly and take the baby to island maternity unless that result is not real Abeg. I baby was 4kg at birth and his jaundice was discovered 2 days after he was born. He is 8 now and has some challenges. A lot of our doctors don't know much about this jaundice. We don't have good equipment for the treatment. Abroad they have different ways to quickly bring down d level like special blankets and all but we don't have it here. |
Liftedhands:Dear Jesus heal heal this baby. Each time I hear jaundice, I feel bitter because of my experience with it. I'll still share it someday. Jaundice can be mild but very fatal if not handled properly. The bitter truth is that most hospitals in Nigeria only do trial and error with the treatment because the light they use is not good enough, so ordinary sunlight is better than them. Please, they shouldn't leave the monitoring of the jaundice only for the hospital. They should ask questions and demand to see the result after each test. She may need to stop breastfeeding for now until after the jaundice has cleared. I used to have all these tables used to monitor the level. You can check google for that. But the bad thing is that one baby may not have issues with say level 10 but that level may be fatal for another baby. And the weight of a baby matters too. For treatment of jaundice is Lagos, I recommend island maternity because they have the best for the treatment. I don't know how serious it is but the parents can ask the hospital to do another test in another lab for second opinion. |
FexCathy:You did not really explain your weaning plan but I thing putting cabbage leaves on the breast will help. |
Jewel90:It is not advisable to use sugar for babies. I think the milk is ok. I'm trying hard not to suggest honey because overdoing it can harm the baby at this age but a little will not harm the baby. Except you use soy beans and crayfish, giving the baby only pap is not advised. |
favouredmumsy:Please, she needs to do the Sitz bath religiously. In addition to what has been said, she can use white vinegar in place of disinfectant and the water should be lukewarm. |
iomoge2:Chaiiiii. Abeg oooo. It doesn't always work like this oooo. @ iyawotobe, I want to advise you based on personal experience. I'll suggest you don't go cold turkey. Firstly, it may wreck you emotionally considering the fact that you are pregnant. Will you be able to withstand watching your baby cry for hours without food? Some babies can stay for one week without their mum but once they see their mum, they want their boobi back and the cry starts all over again. Secondly, a woman can actually breastfeed a baby while pregnant as long as it's not a risk to you or the baby in your womb. I took in for my 3rd baby when my second was just 9mths old and I weaned him off boobi at one year. This is what I did, I reduced the number of times I breastfed him in the daytime, I do one less feeding per day every three days. For night feeding, I make sure he eats enough cereal before bed and I offer water if he wakes up and breastfeed once in the early morning. If you breastfeed like 4 times in d night, you can start reducing it that way, your body adjusts to this. I have super supply when I'm breastfeeding but I've never had engorgement issues while weaning and my children sleep through the night once I wean them. I also heard that some children are very sensitive to pregnancy hormones so they wean themselves once their mum gets pregnant. I'll only suggest going cold turkey if the child is about 15 mths, eats solid well but is difficult to wean because he uses breast to soothe. In all, choose what works best for you. |
The truth is that there are elements of truth in this message. Any wise woman wil submit to her husband as the head of her home. Being a submissive wife does not in anyway make me inferior or less human. The problem with this message is that it is "do as I say and not as I do". Majority of the high ranking pastors in Christ embassy are terrible husbands and wives. Pastor Chris also indirectly supports the female pastors to be disrespectful to their husbands. So many of them don't care for their husbands or children, they don't cook or know what goes on in their homes. Most of the male pastors sleep with their house helps because they are starved and you dare not complain as everyone is pretending. I just hate the pretense that emanate from this congregation. |
Interested in distribution. I'm in Lagos. |
kindredspirit:Those FRSC guys are more brutal than the solders. When they put on their uniform, they feel like gods with no regards for people. I feel for him as a human but I made the statement out of anger. Both of them are uniformed men so he met his match. Sometimes people are quick to judge the soldiers forgetting they are trained to act the way they do. They are impatient and FRSC staff are overbearing. Majority of them |
gemale:I've fixed it for you. Mr man don't quote me again. You know nothing about my horrible experience with them. I know what I went through in their hands even when I committed no offense. Maybe he was just served his own dessert. If he is one of those wicked ones, he should expect more. |
I tried to sympathize with the FRSC guy but I can't. Those guys are wicked so I think it serves them right. |
barak4real:I don't know the place that is itching you and how long it has lasted. If it is your Vijay and it's not too severe, I'll suggest you hold on with the medication and try this: Free your Vijay. Do away with all your panties for now. Don't sleep with pants. If you must wear pants, wear those loose briefs and remove and wash as soon as possible. Wash your Vijay not wipe as often as you can after every Pee. Drink lots of water and be mindful of where you ease yourself. I try to avoid taking pills exp antibiotics while pregnant except my prenatal pills. Hope una no mind. |
rejoice02:Will send you a mail now |
