mamas pls is it normal for a child of almost 9months not to have any teeth and not crawling? I can't believe I'm asking this "dumb question" but I'm worried. my dd had her first tooth at 6months and walked @ 9months. and here we are at 9months no tooth nor crawling for my ds. yet he keeps getting sick and we keep treating infection and high temp every 3months. tired of going to see pead. he sits and roll very fine. has good neck control. he moves on his butts. lastly he's been stooling watery stools for a while(we on zinc and flagyl tab). he's lost some weight. evrytime his hand is in his mouth and his head is always hot. na so teeth hard to come out or is there something else I shd look out for?

Hello Mama I believe that before you wrote this, your motherly instinct is telling you something may be wrong or you have some concerns. I experienced something similar and there are things I wished were done and you may wish to consider. I’m not saying it’s the same, I’m just suggesting you consider it.

I wish you can sincerely answer these questions.
Does your son bear weight on his legs? How does he behave when you try to put him to stand? How lumpy foods? Does he gag on his foods?
Were you told the cause of the reoccurring infections and high temperature? Does the watery stool have mucus in it or it’s just watery?

If the answers to the questions is no, I’ll suggest to take him to the teaching hospital and get him examined.

Some Watery stool without mucous can be caused by some protein intolerance. If you continue giving the child the protein, it weakens the muscles and can lead to regression in development and sometimes irreversible disability in children if not handled on time.

Some of these antibiotics cause hearing loss in children after some time. It could be mild, severe or profound. I’v been through this dilemma so I have first hand experience of what i’m talking about.

I’m not trying to say something is wrong with him but if you have any concerns, tackle it on time don’t allow them anyone to intimidate you with being paranoid. Seek for answers. Eme ngwa ngwa, agbaghari odachi.

Mamas please you people should help me, i'm not quite sure if there is a problem that needs tackling or something.
My son just had his first hair cut. I'm soooo emotional and even tearing up. Same way i felt at 6 months when i had to introduce other meals after EBF. In fact i ended up not being able to give him that day. It was the next day he finally ate and everyone had to put mouth. Same thing happened at his 1yr birthday, i was just shedding tears but i kept wondering why. Now this? How can i be crying upandan because my son had a haircut and so he is growing too fast. What does this even mean? Everybody is just looking at me as if i'm crazy and I'm beginning to be worried. To be honest, i prepare for these things, but when its time, i start acting funny.
Please is this a problem? Maybe a psychological one?? If so, pls how can i get help? Or is this normal?

It’s neither abnormal nor normal. I think you are perfectly ok. You are just being emotional maybe it’s residual hormones. Just know that you are a great mom. Although we are not perfect, we are perfect for our kids.
It’s good they are growing and making progress. Wait until you start hearing “ mom, I don’t need your help, I can do it by myself”. Or when they enter university and don’t bother calling you for a month or even get married.
Free yourself Mama and don’t get too emotionally attached to your child. I think it’s time you go for the second one ie get pregnant.
When the emotions start building up, just keep reminding yourself that he needs to grow in order for you to be a fulfilled mom. Take this from someone that used to “hoard” her baby.
