It could be part of d package for you. Try not to stress yourself and rest very well. Make sure you are in a well ventilated place and avoid any tight clothing to ensure free flow of blood. Make sure you complain to your doctor to rule out any underlying causes. |
Nneejima, we bless God for your life and that of your baby. God will perfect what he has started. The longer baby stays in, the better. Mpire, can you please take this your madness to the politics section. You no dey see the title of the thread or you want us to unleash some hormones on you. Mkpii. |
Hello. @ phlakkeys, I'm present. Nairaland has refused to post my comments. ![]() I've packed my bags. Braxton hicks has intensified and my cat walking has entered another level. @ Nicoleswizzi, how do you see the jumbo Sheabutter. Will you recommend it? Abeg review it for me let me know if I'll get it. Congratulations to all May mamas. We await your BA June mamas. I thank God for you @ lululuv. |
Don't go there with your expensive phone, tablets or laptops. That place na area boys zone keep off. |
Orishirishi. If you truly know this woman and everything she represents, you'll spit and fart on this post and run out of this thread. Yeye female mechanic my foot. Mtchewwww |
olu21ola:I'm just coming online after awhile. Abeg, take this thumbs up. Kizzzzesssssss. You took the word from my mouth. |
Today is vagina discussion day ![]() |
ToyosiR:No. Maybe you should try their number. It's only my reply to you that nairaland posts. It keeps deleting every other thing I type. @ cappo phlakkeys, thanks for checking on us. Seems this is the only comment that comes through. |
ToyosiR:Which area are you looking at? I've heard of prisms at surulere. Tel no: 08055777123. No 8 oyediran street off bode Thomas. A friend used them before. There's this other one at sura shopping mall. Can't remember their name. I used omnival at Ikeja but I won't recommend them at all. I feel scammed each time I think of them. |
Liftedhands:I don't think so. That was d primitive way of doing it before technology came. I think there was a time they do it with knife or sharp iron before razor blade was invented. I'm sure some children must have died from some of these practices in time past. Thank God I wasn't born then. |
hotmomma:I was damn serious. The child will be sore and in pain for days to come. You have to keep d legs apart for some days to avoid touching d sores. Oh lord, I can't imagine this. @ sugah, the older d child is, the more they cry. @ 2 months, babies have started expressing their emotions. They have more awareness more than their early days. The extended cry may not necessarily be because of d pain but d discomfort and anger that something like that was done to him. Some of them show their temperament early. I'm not a child psychologist but I'm just saying it from observation. Environment factors may determine other things but d intrinsic one can only be managed. |
zaynie:Na my sil gave me that impression ooo. After chopping one Muslim guy money she told me she won't marry d guy cos he's not circumcised. Na since that day I carry am for head like that oo. |
zaynie:Hmmm. I used to think muslims don't circumcise their male children. Pardon my ignorance. |
hotmomma:I don't know d place it's somewhere in surulere but that was my sil's description of how they do it. She told me they use razor to cut of d fore skin and then use this lit local lantern to burn off something. I've not experienced it. Two pple will hold d child firmly while d woman do d circumcision. They were of d opinion that men circumsized traditionaly satisfy women more because d tip of their penis is well curved. I will never advise anyone to do this to their child cos of infection and it take longer to heal |
sugah:No ma. It's not painful because it's done in Nigeria. Where, the method and who does the circumcision determines the pain. @ Gr8fulHeart, I had my first son in 2008, he was circumcised in a private hospital here in Lagos by my gynae and he did not cry and it was ok after some days. Same with d second one in 2010. I think they were circumcised 1 month after birth. If you do it d traditional way, expect pain and loss of blood because they use razor and fire. I really don't know but it's very painful. I don't know d method they use in general hospitals but if you're using a private one with modern equipment, it's d same experience you'll get anywhere in d world. |
missmalachi:If you call them, they'll tell you 15k but when you get there, you'll pay 7.5k. I wasn't really satisfied with what I got from them. Just one pics, no video, nothing too special. My baby face wasn't even clear enough. My hubby was angry I went all d way from island to ikeja for that nonsense. I spent about 14k cab fare inclusive plus about 2 hrs traffic on that Maryland-ikeja way that I was beyond exhausted when I got there. On getting there, the lady that acted as receptionist was d one that did d scan. After d whole stuff, I quietly collected d pics because I was too tired to even complain. My dear, if you can get a good sonographer to that will do scan for you with even 1d for a cheaper amount with less stress, please do. This is my personal experience. If anyone doubt me, I'll snap everything including d receipt and put it here. I paid lesser amount at Mecure, got 2 pics and better experience. |
Congratulations to all new moms. Team May, I raise hands for una. Thank God for his grace and mercies. For pregnant mums experiencing pain on their pelvic abi hip pain, put pillow between your knees while lying down. Hope this helps. |
i4eva:Zaynie, toddstoteens.com, babies21.com, simplyinfants.com, babybliss.com.ng Kiddiestreasure.com I think you pay online. Some prices are better than d others so you may need to compare d prices in all d sites before you make a decision. Check Jumia and konga too. Some of their prices are better than market price. That's all I can remember for now |

Please, anything that concerns taking care of your baby don't assume any other person knows or should know what to do especially when it has to do with what they eat. Leaving specific instructions will save you a lot of headache. Sometimes you need to spell everything out and even write down d instructions. Her opinion differs from yours. You may not be comfortable with some things that seems right to her. I once heard of a matured nanny that broke d bottled food and fed d baby because she couldn't open the lid. You will assume she'd know that tiny particles of d bottle will be in d food but she gave it to d baby and to her, she did the right thing. I left my house help to wash my children's water bottle. I do see her wash d bottles but one day I took a closer look at d bottles, I saw some brownish dirty things like mold on d ring of the bottle cover, I turned red that day. And to think that she wash them everyday, one will assume that a 22 yr old girl should know how to wash plates. |
i4eva:Good to know. Well, I wasn't really offended because I've not met her before and it's her business and it's not compulsory I buy things from her. I specifically asked for some things and requested for the pictures of those things which she hasn't sent. She just sent me her shop address. I may not be able to go to her shop myself but wanted to send someone there to get d things I choose. Anyway, I've gotten most of the things from Zaynie and I'm satisfied with both her customer service, price and products. I've also stumbled on some nice websites that sell baby things and they take payment on delivery. I hope to check on sometime maybe after my delivery. |
Congratulations @ Abiagirl777 and Gr8fulHeart. |

My first baby weighed 4kg. I had him via VD and serious labor wasn't up to an hour. |
eksbabe:I just saw her reply. Thank you. |
Giddyperson:Continue with your prenatal med for at least 3-6 weeks after delivery and rest as much as you can. Cc fattamyfattamy. |
AlphaHandMaiden:I think it's d other way round. Skimmed milk has more protein and calcium than whole milk. I don't know why it's used in producing formulas, maybe it has to do with d fact that it has less saturated fats which is good for d heart and they feel babies below age 1 can't process the fats or it has got something to do with obesity or they the proteins but the less fat milk has, the more calcium and protein it contains. Cc. Feddy27. |
Naomi14:I tire. I don't understand what her problem is. |
Flowerlady01:My dear, the tone of her reply wasn't good at all. I started d chat by telling her how I got her number and that I want to buy baby things. I specifically told her what I want. Its not like I asked her for money or something unusual. I just wanted to know what she has because for some reasons, I cannot go to the market. I have to buy everything online/ or send someone to her shop to get d things for me. |
@ eksbabe, I noticed d lady is on WhatsApp. So I tried to contact d lady and she's asking for d name of d person that gave me her number. I wanted her to send me pics of what she has but her response is too cold. She said things are not done that way. It's not like I was stalking her, I approached her nicely and told her someone that shopped from her gave me her contact and I want to buy this and that. That's all |
@ forzarush, in addition to what other Mamas suggested, unripe plantain, black beans and beets helps too. Stop foods with empty calories. Avoid yielding to some of your cravings like taking biscuits and water for dinner, drinking garri etc. Try as much as possible to incorporate vegetable in your diet. Instead of eating rice with overfried stew, make your sauce with ugu and fresh tomatoes and don't bleach d oil. Use plantain flour in place of garri, take oranges, avoid taking milk together with your vegetables it inhibits the absorption of iron. Don't overcook your vegetables. Leave all these fry fry for now. |
Sansa143:Cute |
Elixir123:I'm just seeing this. Reply d mail. |
