As for the days of immunization, I don't know. I'm a FTM and still waddling. But on two occasions that I have gone for my TT dose, it was on a Monday.

My Birth Story
Where do i start? The pregnancy was not expected. Withdrawal failed and emergency contraceptive equally failed and i found out i was pregnant. Hmm! Devastated will be an understatement but i later forged ahead, the pregnancy was so different from all i have ever felt before which made me think it was going to be a princess but alas, it was a prince.
My first 3 sons i had them on or before 38wks so you can imagine my shock when 39weeks met me and labour wasn't happening, meanwhile i had started my leave. I kept taking long walks and doing exercises but labour refused to come instead cramps knew me by name.

So on Monday the 26th, i went to the office for ippis verification, when i came back i noticed my BH had increased but i ignored it. By 11pm, i noticed it had a pattern and was regular, 1 in 10mins and was getting slightly painful so i told my hubby who started dancing while i was anxious recalling the laborious road of labour. I tried to sleep but adrenaline was high, by 1am of 27th, i knew i was in for the real deal. By 3am, it has progressed to 1 in5mins and i told my hubby it was time to head to the hospital. After the whole admission process by around 3:45am, i saw show and when i was examined, the doctor said i was in 7cm. When the pain hits, my hubby will rub my waist and i will walk around but they later strapped me to the ctg machine so i had to lie down by force which was pure torture. I bore the pains well by the mouth breathing technique. Everyone kept encouraging me and by 6:45am, i was fully dilated then devil came to put hand.

The matron in charge brought a student midwife that she will take my delivery cos there were many emergencies that morning. The student knew next to nothing. She couldnt even pass catheter into me to drain urine, kept poking me and injuring me in the process. She kept fighting with the ctg machine and will always want to check me

Well, just like a dream the nurse that took my delivery for my 3rd resumed duty and our eyes met, i knew my sufferings were close to an end. She came greeted me, prayed with me and set the correct drops because the student had put the oxytocin but with the wrong victorious killer push from me, my prince came out screaming his lungs out. He gave me a tear but i was now pain free. He weighed 3.25kg. I was overwhelmed with emotions and kept crying, God came through for me using the angel nurse. The tear was repaired after an hour imagine! The doctor just forgot about me. In another hour the team for post partum iucd came and inserted iucd for me. I asked for it during antenatal cos this is where i draw the curtains after 7yrs of meritorious service in child birth.

NB: pls waddling mothers pls pray for those that will take your delivery. Very very important! I wish all March mamas the very best and porters from february and April. I equally want to thank all mamas here for the support, the likes, the well wishes and calls. May the Almighty locate you at the point of your needs. Amen!

For all the mamas asking if it’s Riconia, I really don’t know. I can only remember that the medicine has a long neck like astymin bottle and it’s in a white carton and produced by Ranbaxy too.
The thing is that it’s nice and not too expensive.

Thank you so much. Like thrice in a week is ok abi? He eats fairly well. He takes cereals (nutribom, nutrilac and cerelac). I interchange them. Most mornings he takes pap as breakfast, then around noon, he has either dodo and egg, or beans, then cereals interchanged the rest of the day. He joins me to eat what ever i'm eating too. Is this balanced enough?
For fruits, we don't do so much, mostly bananas and pineapple sometimes. But i give him this heinz fruit custard from time to time or add to his cereal.

I think it’s ok.

Cypri gold is not a multivitamin. I don’t like the medication sef. I won’t give it to my children.

Full cream = full natural fat and vitamins

Instant filled = natural fat removed and later they try to add it back artificially. Some nutrients are lost in the process and the body cannot assimilate some artificial additives.

Skimmed milk = fat was removed depending on some percentage left. Some 2% or 0%.

Growing children need the fat for their brain development and the nutrients too.
You can introduce the others as from 2 years.
That’s when the calcium advantage comes into consideration.

Wellkid, Abidec and reload if you can afford them. There’s this one with more than 17 multivitamins that was recommended by my doc. It’s Nigerian made, not upto 700 and very good. The name starts with Ri something. I’ll check the name and tell you.
If your child eats well and balanced diet, you don’t need to be giving him everyday.
Fried eggs is ok. If he doesn’t like vegetables, you can even hide it in the eggs. My friend’s daughter survived on fried eggs for almost one year. She only became creative with the eggs.

@ giddyperson, you can look for @ thriftismytherapy on instagram. Chat with her and tell her your budget to see if she can help you buy some clothes from America. She clears goods on sales over there for people. The good thing is that her price includes shipping to Nigeria. I think I saw your budget when they did sales after Christmas. I think she ships via sea so it takes about 3 weeks to get here. So you can use her to shop ahead.

Please oh mamas, i recently introduced my 14months old son to full cream milk (oldenburger). I use it for his cereals. We used SMA gold from 6months till just few days back. I'm wondering if the oldenburger is enough for him or do i still need to add his SMA toddler milk? Seeing that he is still so young. Please sabi mamas educate me.

The full cream milk is enough. Just make sure it’s full cream milk not instant filled powdered milk.
If you are concerned about getting enough vitamins and minerals, you can add puréed carrots to his cereals. Give fruits and an egg especially the yolk daily or give multivitamin supplement.
I think the follow up milk is just market strategy except for babies with very sensitive tummy which is very rare after one year.

Good day ma. Please can you explain what you mean by “milk and breast is no longer satisfying her” and how you found out.
I’m not trying to judge your decision but I think your explanation will help us to answer you better but the decision is yours to make.

Having said that, it is advisable to wait till 6 months before introducing any other thing to your baby. You can try that at 5 months but please not earlier than 4 months.

Please allow me to rant cos my dd is driving me nuts
I've tried everything possible to potty train her but she refused. She won't poop inside the potty but instead she'll go to a hidden corner of the house and do her business,later she'll use bedspread or clothes and cover it or she'll use it to paint the floor and wardrobe/wall for me. assuming she does it inside her diaper, I'll manage but she'll remove the diaper, fling it away and do her business. I'm tired of cleaning the house, wardrobe or wall and washing clothes biko I'm not a donkey.
On Saturday night, she threw my phone inside toilet and there was no light. Assuming I didn't go with torchlight, my phone will be swimming with waste products,now the phone is dead and gone,only my Sim card and battery survived.
I don't even sleep in the afternoon again even when I remove everything that will injure her or she can spoil cos she'll definitely find something to spoil.
When you want to shout at her or spank her, she'll start hugging me, pecking or waving her hand saying sorry.

It’s not all children that uses potty.
Maybe you should get this kids potty cover they attach to the toilet seat. It may do the trick.
None of my children used potty but this works. Just make sure it’s not a public toilet and it’s neat. If I see a picture of it, I’ll attach it.
And don’t forget to make her feel so special for getting it right. Like telling her she’s a big girl, a princess etc

Mamas my boy is 5weeks old and can take 100mls of formula be hungry again in less than 2hrs. Was giving just BM but noticed it's never enough for him so had to introduce formula.
Atimes I feel like I'm overfeeding him but then again he finishes it and if you give him less he takes it and cries for more.

You won’t know by merely looking at him.
Does he wet up to six diapers a day?
Some children are heavy eaters that doesn’t mean they will be fat or bigger than their mates.
Also note that at this age, they sometimes eat not because they are hungry but for comfort.
Some of them will later regulate it some will develop huge appetite that if you don’t satisfy them you will be miserable.
Do you want to do exclusive bf for him or combine with formula?
If you intend to breastfeed for long, offer him the both breast first before you use formula to top it up and see how many ml he will take.
Please note that nipple confusion is real and some children finds it easier to suck from the bottle.

Instead of feeding him all the time, play with him first, check the diapers and rock him to see if he will calm down and extend his feeding time. If he persists, feed him after all food is to be eaten.

Before I forget, breastfed babies eat more often because it digests faster.
