BTW: He's threatening to quit the BOT position, not PDP. |
In the bible, when the disciples spoke in tongues (especially on Pentecost day), they spoke in languages that ordinarily they cant speak but persons around them could understand; and the purpose of this was to upbuild/preach to a person that understands a foreign tongue/language. For example, if an Igbo preacher has to preach to an hausa man and he doesn't speak Hausa ordinarily, the spirit of God can make him speak hausa to upbuild the Hausa man. PS. that's why speaking in tongue is called a gift. I think it is misunderstood/ |
Wizardofoz:Please read ur comment again and ask yourself whether that is adult like. You have shown your argument. Its left for everyone to take what they want to believe. It does not call for insulting the admin of NL ("childish and thoughtless" ![]() ) or everyone (including yourself). If it pains you that someone with traces to Nigeria/Africa (either by name or by birth) is making progress, then go hug transformer. BTW: I guess you just heard the word "deluded". See how u dey use a,m anyhow. |
Wizardofoz:That's not true. Neyo's middle name is Chimere. Even his "supposed" son was named Chimere. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ne-Yo to confirm from wiki: Ne-Yo was born in Camden, Arkansas, and baptized as Shaffer Chimere Smith. "Chimere" is a name originating from the Igbo language in Nigeria meaning "God's Deed".[2] His father is African American, and his mother is of mixed African American and Chinese descent, In 2005, Ne-Yo's girlfriend at the time gave birth to a boy, naming him Chimere after Ne-Yo's middle name |
BizBooks:aint no specifying of any event triggering "Hello world" . The code is as complete as 24 hours is for a day. Thats all you need to print hello word. No imports, no #includes, no semi-columns, no variable declarations, no main methods or classes. Voila, just type that and you are good to go. Too good to be true right? That's Python for u. Very easy indeed. The Zens above explains it all: Simple is better than complex. |
C:\>python Python 3.2 (r32:88445, Feb 20 2011, 21:30:00) [MSC v.1500 64 bit (AMD64)] on win32 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import this The Zen of Python, by Tim Peters Beautiful is better than ugly. Explicit is better than implicit. Simple is better than complex. Complex is better than complicated. Flat is better than nested. Sparse is better than dense. Readability counts. Special cases aren't special enough to break the rules. Although practicality beats purity. Errors should never pass silently. Unless explicitly silenced. In the face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess. There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it. Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Dutch. Now is better than never. Although never is often better than *right* now. If the implementation is hard to explain, it's a bad idea. If the implementation is easy to explain, it may be a good idea. Namespaces are one honking great idea -- let's do more of those! >>> You get the picture? Python ROCKS!!!! |

$30M (=N4.5B) on a fleet, and some pastors have more than one? come on guys, some of us still have the guts to defend that with the "don't judge" crap. Is it because they are pastors? Ok, it is fine to apply "don't judge" to pastors but not to politicians, right? Which one is better? Improve the welfare of your church members or buy a fleet. Whereas, same persons condemn politicians for wrong spending of public funds. Someone check the meaning of hypocrisy. Every second you say something is good or bad, you judge. How come our eyes are not clear enough to see the manipulations of these so called MOGs. Have they finished preaching the gospel to Nigerians? Have they covered the north? that they have to fly to US, Switzerland, and other places whenever they like, for what? preaching? or holiday? Maybe I'm missing something cos I read the bible and I'm a Christan too. My bible preaches that love is the greatest commandment. I don't think going on spending sprees like these at the expense of the tithe from poor church goers is love. No, I don't think so. Sorry guys, here I've to judge here. It is completely wrong. Jesus fed thousands. If they want to be christlike, they can feed millions, maybe billions. No offense meant |
@Ajanlekoko, I love your comment. Very true! To add to that, just as some persons work for free to gain experience and add value to themselves. Some other persons even PAY to get skills and/or experience. For example, I've seen some persons pay to be trained in Telecoms, IT, project management and do some kind of internship afterwards just to add value to themselves. The truth is if you really have that value that employers need, they would pay you well enough. IF they don't, you can as well use ur skills to raise income to take care of u. Its not very easy, but it can be done. BTW: our aim should not be to work for money, it should be to create value. If we focus on that, most things (including money) would fall into place. Best wishes to all |
I believe his intentions are good but I think this is a very dumb idea to realize his intentions. If he wants to reduce liquid cash flow in the economy, then he has to promote development of electronic transactions and make Nigerians put faith in it over time. In that case, it would come naturally for people to move around with little cash knowing that their money is better secured and better managed electronically. By the way, 150,000 is not very much (its just a little below 1000 USD or 750 Euros). Even in advanced countries with well developed electronic systems, this money is not too much to carry about. This is very silly because it is not really a large sum of money. There is no where in the world where such restrictions are imposed and I don't think our economy is mature enough to sustain such restrictions. This is only going to make more persons to be dubious as they would now try to beat the system. Banks might also break the rules secretly and this would cause a bigger circle of crime than he is trying to prevent. At times, I wonder if these so called "leaders" consider the effect of their policies before even letting them out. Its really very funny. |
I think this title is misleading. I read the article over and over again. No where was it stated that GEJ met with Tinubu. Maybe I'm missing something. The article is too vague. Journalists usually report facts, events, details and people involved in the events. BTW: I think its too late for that meeting. The election is just 4 days away. Very little can be changed. "Who go win go win" |
saibuhari:Is it safe to assume that most nairalanders are against pdp or is the result reflecting the trend nationwide? From my observation, the results posted here are the ones where PDP has been upset. What about the results from SS, SE, NC, NW? David Mark's been declared winner contrary to the impression created here. Sahara reporters is reporting that Dora (APGA, affiliate of PDP) is leading contrary to the reports here. Please let us be just and fair as a lot of persons here are relying on the opinions of nairalanders for the results. BTW: The fair results in the SW is an indication that this GEJ's government is fair and just. The days of the do or die style of OBJ is over. From the early release, it is safe to say (for now) that Jega has tried in not affecting the results. Reports from Ibadan shows that the electoral officer was manipulating results to favor ACN. No reports on that here. |
