Adminisher: Jonathan promises only four more years. Ibos need to be realistic. Their interests are longer range than four years. The man is humble and flexible but like Lao Tsu would say, "he is not he, she is not she, they are not they". Jonathan is five or six people (some people say all these different people are all women) working for themselves against each other. That is why he could promise the north single term and renege on that who is the Ibo that he wont do same?. Ibos would do well to support the APC, vote out the corrupt clique and prepare to contend for power in 2019 before any of these women who constitute GEJ lead his presidency into utter destruction.
However if all Ibos want is vengeance against Nigeria for imagined hurts of the past then they can go ahead and sink with the Jonathan boat. Every action.will generate its consequence without fail. Sorry to disappoint you. Igbo will not support APC with expired and Islamic fanatic like Buhari as presidential flag bearer |

Politics › Re: 5 Strong Lies Being Peddled Against GMB By PDP. by gratiaeo(m): 6:59pm On Dec 14, 2014 |
coolhamid: 5 Strong lies being peddled against GMB by PDP.
1. Religious Bigot
PDP continues to peddle this deception towards General Muhammadu Buhari just to tarnish his image. Portraying him as a religious bigot is an injustice to his personality. If he is a religious bigot as they want us to believe, he wouldn’t have picked Pastor Tunde Bakare as his running mate in 2011. Additionally, he wouldn’t allow a Christian colonel from the eastern part of the country to marry his daughter.
2. Boko Haram Sponsor.
Before the death of General Andrew Owoye Azazi, the former National security adviser. He blamed the rise of insurgence by boko haram on the internal wrangling of PDP. The President himself claimed that members of the deadly group were in the executive, legislative and Judiciary arms of the government. With all these facts before us, I still don’t understand why some Nigerians link BH with GMB. No amount of propaganda would stop the people's general from becoming our president next year.
3. Islamization of Nigeria. Lol, I can’t stop laughing at this statement. The funniest part is that some educated Nigerians believes this crap. If GMB as a military head of states didn’t Islamize Nigeria, how will he Islamize Nigeria under a democratic settings where decisions will be taken in accordance with Nigeria constitution. We can’t be divided along the religious lines anymore, electorates are wiser now.
4. He has nothing to offer Who told these slowpokes that GMB has nothing to offer? As a military head of states, General Muhammadu Buhari created two oil refineries (Warri and Kaduna refineries) and also spearheaded the construction of 20 oil depots nationwide. Under the leadership of GMB as the federal commissioner for petroleum resources, he restructured Nigeria National Oil Corporation and the Ministry of Petroleum resources to form Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). With the help of home based economists, he was able to reduce the inflation rate from 23 percent to 4 percent within 20 months of his administration. Corruption was reduced to barest the minimum during his tenure. With all these achievements under his watch, PDP still want us to believe that GMB has nothing to offer.
5. He is also corrupt. If you believe this, then you can believe anything thrown to you.GMB openly declared that he has never stolen a kobo from the national treasury and challenged anyone with contrary opinion to prove him wrong.PDP have been capitalizing on the gullibility of some Nigerians to paint GMB black but Nigerians are wiser now. Come 2015, Change is inevitable. Let’s create competition among our political parties so that they would stop taking us for granted.

Politics › Tinubu Delays Buhari’s Decision On VP by gratiaeo(op): 5:45pm On Dec 14, 2014 |
https://ngrguardiannews.com/images/DEC_2014/Tinubu.jpgTHE delay by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, in naming his running mate in the February 14, 2015 presidential election has been attributed to the former Head of State’s “characteristic inability” to take authority and his decision to concede the responsibility to former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Sources within the APC said that concerns began to mount last Thursday when Buhari failed to announce his running mate in his acceptance speech at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, venue of the presidential primaries of the party. Many of the party leaders are now said to be worried that Buhari has surrendered his authority to take decision on the matter to the leader of APC in the South, Tinubu. One of the sources said “unfortunately, the acceptance speech came and went without a mention of anyone to the dissatisfaction of many. “I can confirm to you now, just as events of the last two days have shown, that the failure to make an announcement on the vice-presidential candidate was due to the deadlock within the APC over the choice.” There were credible feelers yesterday that the APC is at the moment struggling with different options, one of which is the Muslim/Muslim ticket, which idea was broached sometime this year. Watchers of political developments in the parties had believed that the kite was then being flown to test the waters and possibly promote a Buhari-Tinubu presidential ticket. Opposition to the proposition was stringent. It will be recalled that former vice-president Atiku Abubakar, who contested and came third in the primaries, had said in a recent interview that the National Working Committee of the APC had passed a resolution against it. General Buhari, in the same interview series, had refused to give a categorical answer to the question for fear of antagonizing his benefactor, Tinubu, who was then believed to have interest in the position and who exercises great control on the APC structure in the Southwest.
According to the source, “Buhari knew from the outset that he would require the support of Tinubu to succeed in his presidential project and, having witnessed how Tinubu delivered the Southwest zone bulk votes to him at the primaries, he now seems to be overwhelmed by the fear of Tinubu and has failed to take any decisive action on the issue of a running mate. “Despite his known preference for one of those struggling for the position, Buhari has ceded the power to select a running mate to Tinubu. There is the belief in some camps within the party that this is one of the several deals that Buhari made to secure Tinubu’s backing for the ticket.” Another source in the APC, who expressed worries over the development, said “Many ardent supporters of Buhari have often cited amongst his key weaknesses, the characteristic inability to retain authority. Buhari is known to constantly cede his authority to those around him and remain a figure head. “As military Head of State, it is well known that Major-General Buhari ceded much of his authority to his second in command (a fellow Muslim and an officer junior to him) Brigadier Tunde Idiagbon. Idiagbon it was who came to own and personify much of what the regime stood for until they were thrown out of power. “Similarly, as head of the Petroleum Trust Fund, Buhari was in the dark about much of the operations of the organisation; he ceded his powers to the consultants he appointed (Afri-Projects, a firm owned by his relative). They proceeded to award billions of Naira worth of projects overwhelmingly in the North to the exclusion, and anger of much of Southern Nigeria. “Once again, Buhari is showing that he is weak and beholden to Bola Tinubu who moved the APC national convention away from the nation’s capital, to his home base in Lagos. If there was any reason at all to move the party’s convention from the nation’s capital, why not move it to any of the states controlled by the APC in the South-East, North-East or South-South? This would have had the advantage of broadening the appeal of the party and addressing the charge that it is simply a South-West / North-West party.” “When all is said and done, it appears certain, despite denials, that the choice of General Buhari’s vice-presidential candidate is not Buhari’s to make but will be the choice of Bola Tinubu; and all of us are now waiting on Tinubu to name his (Buhari’s) running mate. http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news/national-news/190206-tinubu-delays-buhari-s-decision-on-vp |

Collynzo9: How Buhari Skewed PTF Projects in Favor of His Northern Zone- By Afenifere
The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies the marginalization of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98) show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West.
Of all the roads rehabilitated by the PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24 per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020 kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF projects came from.
Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North.
The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent.
Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself.
Demographic Manipulation: The Northern wielders of power have skewed all demographic indicators to marginalise the Yoruba and confer undue advantage on the North. For instance, while the old Kano and Lagos used to have the same number of divisions, various demographic manipulations over the years have brought about absurd disparities between the two states. While the old Lagos remains a state with 20 local governments, the old Kano has become two states-Kano and Jigawa with 77 local governments. These are some of the indices used for revenue sharing. www.nigerianmuse.com/20061228122222zg/nigeria-watch/all-about-the-oputa-panel-hrvic/nigeria-has-persecuted-the-yoruba-submission-of-afenifere-to-the-human-rights-violations/ Yoruba sha.......... |

Buhari did absolutely nothing for the SE and SW. Now kindly take your vote and that of your family to the camp of the man who has totally destroyed Nigeria for the past five years and spare us these pathetic threads most Nigerians are now tired of and in no mood for as we look forward to change and the chance to vote out the ultra-corrupt Jonathan who has damaged Nigeria immeasurably .
In case you do not know, most Nairalanders and Nigerians have worked out the tactics of people like you. You are ethnically and religiously devoted to GEJ even as you know in your heart he has failed woefully, is totally out of his depth and has brought misery to every corner of Nigeria. Because you know Jonathan has no record to run on the only option open to you and his other ethnocentric devotees is to present the "People's General" as a candidate Nigerians should run from. It will not work. Rather you are all making Buhari more popular with your dishonest attempt to malign his character and political personality.
As for the cheap attempt to whip up ethnocentric sentiments amongst those now viewed the 'gamechanger', i.e the SW, it will not work. A piece of factual information for you. Did you know that the SW delegates gave Buhari almost 100% of their vote at the recent APC presidential Primaries and would not be swayed the slightest by any amount of money on offer? Go and reflect on that reality instead of coming here with your cheap attempt to rope the SW into the blanket hatred of Buhari afflicting you and yours. The SW already knows who it will vote for so stop wasting your own time. Long and meaningless epistle |
