Regarding the topic, the contract has already been paid for so it would be smart by half to stop flying planes that have already been paid from the provision in the last budget.

Unless you have proof that provisions were made for the continuation of this practice in Buhari's budget, then your thread is dead on arrival.

Besides, I'm sure you read that no payments have been made by this government for the jet, and that they are part of the JV agreement.

How about asking why DiezaTHIEF was paying billions for something she was getting for free?

Well... Nzeogwu was no tribalist....but unfortunately the Jan 1966 coup left a disproportionate number of Northern officers dead....to say nothing of a large number of their politicians...and things were made worse by the failure of the coup in the Eastern region.

Add the fact that at the time...most officers in the Army were Igbo...and the Northerners were a minority in the officer ranks(but a majority in the soldier ranks...and most of them were Middle Belter...the Army still recruits heavily from the Middle Belt). (That concerned a lot of people...including one high ranking British colonial officer who expressed his concerns in writing before independence).

So...when the dust settled...and the North woke up to the fact that the cream of their crop was dead...and they did not have enough replacements....things went downhill....and culminated in the July Coup....and the pogroms,....and then the Civil War.

(By the way....the events of Jan and July both make me sad, and upset...and I have read a lot about it ....so IN no way am I justifying the events of both coups, and the pogroms by my comment. In my opinion, Nzeogwu should have resigned from the Army and formed a party to change Nigeria...instead of doing a coup. Nigeria is a tribal nation...and it was not ready for his leftist,Pan-Africanist mindset).

How can cattle herdsmen be terrorizing every region in the country. Yet no single press conference from people condemning it. No nation wide broadcast ordering them to stay clear of some states and regions in the country. What are senators/ house of rep members doing about this fulani herdsmen issue. I believe she was charged with manslaughter because she didn't commit the offense with malice or aforethought. In other words, there was no evidence that Ibinabo had thought and planned to kill the late doctor before she got into her car and drove on that day. So, the manslaughter charge is in order. In some jurisdictions, her crime is termed "vehicular manslaughter".

On the other hand, the man in Ondo may have committed armed robbery, if he used a weapon or weapons to aid him in stealing the N20k. In Nigeria, armed robbery carries an automatic death sentence; which I think is too harsh.

I'm not generally in favor of jungle justice though. I still believe the legal system is the best avenue for civilized people to seek redress for a breach of the law.

She has been convicted for manslaughter which isn't punishable by death. Her meeting the bail conditions doesn't set her free.
Her case will still be heated by the Supreme Court which could either affirm the sentence of the lower court (5-yr imprisonment) or reduce her punishment.
I don't think the Supreme Court would lessen the sentence due to the fact that she sped off from the accident scene, thereby implying that she wasn't remorseful for her reckless act.
