BlueMurder: What's with all these disparaging remarks against Islam and its adherents? I have noticed an upswing in the bashings since that contentious Rule 17 was removed. Mr. Seun or whatever you call yourself, you should realize that there are lots of law-abiding Muslims here on NL whose sensibilities are being assaulted by these evil posts. Please do not take our patience, discretion or silence for granted. Since you allowed yourself to be blackmailed into removing Rule 17 instead of modifying it to suit everyone, what are you doing to curb these imbecilic posts?
If you must generate traffic for your site, must it be at the expense of Islam? If you must accommodate the views of those who can't sleep without insulting us for whatever reason, why not create a sub-forum for them and hide it, far removed from decent minds? We Muslims love and respect our faith as we respect other faiths. If non-Muslims do not regard their faiths highly enough to frown against insults directed against symbols of their religions, that is their business. Ours is not a religion to be ridiculed. Kindly put a stop to this insanity now. Thank you. misguided post by a deluded punk! |

D above quoted is really sordid!!! So your babcock (plus other private uni's ) are not "nigerian universities "?
Frankly speaking, d apparent comments from grads of private uni's here have confirmed d generally held opinion about d quality of education they received!!!
How on earth can anyone in his right senses say Babcock is better than OAU!!! Not even the VC of your Uni and any private uni in Nig can say that balderdash!!!
There's absolutely no basis 4 comparison btw top federal uni's and Dese Shylock private uni's...- for instance, despite d fact that accounting students in OAU pay 5,300 per session(as against 1.5m their colleagues pay in Babcock) IFE students carted 6 out of d 11 prizes in this year's ICAN examination...Babcock got none!!! This info is just for d ignorant few that think Uni's like OAU only have 'past glory' . Can anyone tell me d 'present glory' of private uni's.
In another vein, no Private uni in Nig has ever produced a first class grad from the Nigerian Law School....So, what are we talking about fellas!!! [/color]
*Albeit top federal skulls in Nig (OAU inclusive) have their challenges, they are still way better than these mushroom theology universities!!! D simple truth is, d reason why many parents push their wards to private uni's is 'cos of d difficulty in gaining admission to federal uni's.....or why will anyone in his right senses pay 1.5m for a certificate that will be dumped in the dust bin if a good certificate from a 5,300 naira per session uni like IFE is brandished!!! 1trillion likes! |
Romance › Re: Why Do I Seek Dominating & Abusive Men? Is It Normal? by greatdave(m): 10:38am On Apr 11, 2013 |
Mindependent: I am very attracted to guys that are very er...dominant and in a way, bad. Say, abusive, treat you like a posession, jealous, aggressive- IN and OUT the bedroom.
I have been in an abusive relationship and even though I know its wrong and dangerous, It used to excite me when I was threatened or attacked.
I know its really bad, but its the only thing that seems to excite me, like if a guy i like just grabs my wrists or pulls/pushes me against something or tells me what to do it really turns me on (outside the bedroom).
I also have dreams where Im my partners posession and he has full control of my life.
I get really bored of 'normal' guys if they dont seem to have this controlling/possessive streak. I dont know how to break the cycle and its hard to seek out these sorts of guys as its not really something you admit is it.
Is this normal?
Ive also always had a fear of men since I was very young (though im not sure why) but i used to be terrified of older men. 7days prayer nd fasting wif Woli Agba @Ori Okè Igbala....on a serious note though,ur okay with a guy pushing u against a wall? Aint dat assault Or some kinda abuse?? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Good Friday Crucifixion Of Jesus In Nigeria by greatdave(m): 10:49am On Mar 31, 2013 |
Eziachi: There is something I never get or understood with Christendom and their obsession with the instrument they claimed Jesus was killed. Lets use this analogy for example. Your best friend or your beloved person was assassinated with a gun, then later you and all those that love this person decided make images of this same gun, make replica of the same gun and wear them as jewellery, as charm and venerate this same gun that killed your loved one. Would that in any way make any sense? If cross was used in killing Jesus, why would anyone that love Jesus even touch a cross, not alone kiss and venerate a replica of the same cross. It make no sense at all. And I have search the whole of the bible or the history of the apostolic time in the first century to see where Christian followers of the time used cross of any sort, I still had never seen one. That left me with the questions: Was Jesus really killed on a cross or something else? Is there a link between the cross and trinity? Can the use of cross has anything to do with one of the ancient artefact of the Roman, which along with many of their tradition was smuggled into christianity after killing off the genuine custodian of that faith and hijacked it? Answers will be appreciated. brodaly, its nt d object of the cross that draws our fascination but wat the cross represents...that one who knew no sin,who bore no guile was made sin and experiencd a shameful death on the cross! What Love,What Sacrifice! To some, the bible is jst a book bt to the xtians, its a manual for living life to its 'glorious fullest'! |

littleb: I think God that didn't allow Abraham to kill his own son as sacrifice should not allow His own "son" to be sacrificed and killed over some people's sin.
“And (for) their saying: ‘Indeed we have killed The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’. And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him but (another) that was made to resemble him to them. And indeed those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him for certain.” (Quran 4:157) nd this is rily in the quran?? Christianity Etc › Re: Good Friday Crucifixion Of Jesus In Nigeria by greatdave(m): 7:44pm On Mar 30, 2013 |
anataala: Dr Zakir Naik - Was Jesus (pbuh) Really Crucified?
I will prove to you now using the Bible that Jesus (pbuh) was not crucified neither was he resurrected.
For a person to be crucified he should die on the cross.
He was put on the cross and bought down very fast in 3 hours. In 3 hours its difficult for a person to die therefore Jesus was alive. When he was bought down his two cross mates were alive proving even Jesus was alive Jesus (pbuh) legs were not broken. What use is a broken leg to a dead man? Proving that he was alive. the stone was removed and the winding sheets were unwound proving Jesus (pbuh) was alive Jesus (pbuh) was disguised as a gardener. Because he was alive trying to be saved from the Jews The tomb was roomy and spacious. What use is a spacious room for a dead person? Proving Jesus was alive. When Mary Magdalene went to touch Jesus (pbuh) he said touch me not. he was alive, it will hurt him, he was in pain Jesus (pbuh) said “I have not yet Ascended unto My Father” that means he was alive Mary Magdalene not afraid recognizing Jesus (pbuh) In the upper room Jesus (pbuh) showed his hand and feet to prove he was not a spirit and that he was alive. The Disciples were all overjoyed to see him. Because they thought he was dead and the spirit form. They were all overjoyed to see him because he was alive. Jesus (pbuh) ate broiled Fish and Honeycomb to prove he was alive. The disciples had heard from Mary Magdalene that Jesus (pbuh) was alive. Sign of Jonah. As Jonah was in the belly of the whale for 3 days and 3 nights so shall the son of man in the heart of the earth alive.
So if he was alive that means no crucifixion, no resurrection. So in short Jesus (pbuh) was put on the cross according to the Bible but he did not die.
Jesus (pbuh) was not really crucified but was crucificted. It is not crucifixion its crucifiction
That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
