This is why south-west will continue to be more relevant in the political sphere of Nigeria than the south-east. GEJ has been in the south-west since last week begging for votes and commissioning various power plants and road. He has been visiting all their elders and making promises of what he will do for the region if at all he is lucky to win the election again while the elders on their own part are bargaining for juice positions and development for their region. But the reverse is the case for my eastern brothers, rather for them to bargain for good governance and development for their region they are busy endorsing and following GEJ sheepishly even when their second niger bridge is only develop on papers. Even the GEJ is not even from their region but they are the one crying more than the berief . Why can't this people speak with one voice for the betterment of their region? Later they will start insulting those who planed for their region.

God bless Nigeria
God bless Niger-delta

SAI BUHARI

Wow bro u re a very unque somebody...u said the plain truth...hope u remember how the different groups in SE region fought another on the billions of naira given to them...thereafter they will go back and. Be shouting GEJ without addressing the real issue affecting that region...I watched on T.V on how erosion is dealing with some rural areas in SE,the second Niger bridge is there too amongs other thing...but the elders in that zone will shout GEJ and keep sharing the free money and latr start complaining that they are not treated fairly in the scheem of things in the country...they are the bane of that region although the other regions too re nt there yet too ooo, but the SE leaders real need to. Wake up and face the real situation @ hand for the benefit of the pple of that region.

So you see no problem with SE having just five states and some northern state dancing shoki with seven states.... hmmmmmm... Daris God oooo..

This five(5) state u re saying is made of up just one tribe alone oo and mind u those with that seven u re saying are not one tribe alone at all...
Left to me oo,I'll av prefer a state like benue(that is close to enugu if am nt wrong be added to ur zone so u'll av six states in that zone too abi...maybe den we'll hear less of all dis unnecessary talk.

Talking about equal representation at the upper house(Senate), what can one say about a situation whereby some geopolitical zones has seven states(3*7=21) and some has only five states(3*5=15).. Is there any equality in this political mathematics?

Ibo man done start marginalisation theory again oo abi...and am sure u re referring to NC and NW vs SE...
Let's do some mathematics this way...
NC zone has 7, if one of them let say benue state is added to SE zone, ur zone too will have 6 states. Be dat and the rep will be 18 too...am sure u'll nt like it dat way cos u'll want it to be six Ibo states alone in one zone....Greedy man...a whole zone is allocated to ur tribe alone and ur are here proofing marginalisation theory....mind u those other region/zone re a mixture of various and different tribes oo...SO STOP SHOUTING and address the real issue bro.

The list is embarrassing to say the least- the article says there are only 1.9 Million Fulfulde speakers in all of Nigeria.... lol
Second the area it claims Fulfulde are most spoken are actually not the areas where it is most spoken.....

Third (I might be an outsider on this one)- but it is obvious to anyone in this country that Yoruba has more speakers than Igbo and not the other way round--- you can call me out, if you think I am wrong.

U re right bro...in fact more Igbos re speaking Yoruba than u can even imagine.

Sorry bro, but the stats matters considering that Nigeria's monthly allocations to states depend on population figures, a fraudlent census figures that have seen Ndiigbo marginalized with the Yorubas having six states to Ndiigbo five, and Ndiigbo consistently reminded by Yorubas and the North that SE has the least population by citing the fraudlent population census figures.

Those stats matters,if they didn't some people wouldn't have gotten uncomfortable with it, forcing jamb to stop providing them.

If Nigeria can only unite when Ndiigbo are shortchanged, then Nigeria must disintegrate.

It ok sha...
But think about this...there is a region in nigeria called North Central made of up seven Units with F.C.T, this zone consists of different ethnic group including Yoruba , Hausa, Tiv,Igala, Ebira,Nupe, Birom,Idoma and Igbo(in benue state)...how do you see it if one of them is merged with the south east(preferably Benue state)...then the south east too will become six state too....Cos if u look at the north east, It is not only fulanis that re there, hausa is there, Kanuri too,Jukun too, Shewa and many other tribe they are merged together as the north east.
If states re not being created and u re still agitating for six states in that zone, then the best tin is for the federal government to put Benue state join and the south east will be six states too

Why did jamb stop providing the stats showing the states with highest number of applicants moments after that stats became a hot topic in the internet, with the Yorubas and North geting pretty much uncomfortable with the implication of those stats?

Provide the answer to this my question and stop that your silly drivel, no one deceived by your veneer of tribal neutrality. Every Nigerian is tribal.

The fact is that it is irrelevant cos whether it is SE or SW or NE e.t.c does not matter. The most important thing is what u do with what u go to the institutions to obtain...if the east go to institution most as u claimed, it does not add one kobo to my purse now that is their own way of making their own life better.so others to can follow and try to better than them...it does not stop anything now bro...let's not destroy our beloved nation with all this non-issue...

Useless country.

Since it became obvious that Ndiigbo top the list of highest number of jamb applicants every year, a very good way of reinforcing the fact that Ndiigbo are the most populous ethnic group in this country/the ethnic group with least poverty rate,as only the well fed has enough money to aspire for university education.

Some people got scared of those jamb stats, and the next thing we knew was that jamb no longer provide stats to show the states of origin of jamb applicants, they now only show the universities with the highest number of applicants, as that stat have a semblance of Wazobia with 2northern universities, 2 Eastern,1 western and one SS university in the top six most sought after universities.

Every damn thing in the country must be politicized and tinkered with, to prevent exposure of their fraudlent population census figures. Ndi ara!

Mr Man, u re being cluelessly tribalistic...the thinking wey dey ur. Brain is really amazing.

As far as I am concerned there are no grounds for the postponement of this election. The fact is that not everyone who has registered will vote. Today I went to get my own PVC and I was shocked by the number of cards yet to be collected. The fact is that not everybody is interested in voting, some just needed the TVC for opening bank accts and some other registration as a form of identification. Those who are really interested have gone to collect theirs.
Secondly the issue of insecurity as an excuse is absolutely shallow. This insecurity has been on ground for years,so I ask,is the FG promising to have totally solved the insurgency issue before the new date? If they can't totally solve it by then, why postpone it now?
I think we should just do it now and push it off our minds

U re damn Right bro!...I collected my own PVC since Nov 28 and quote me anywhere "It not because of the election cos I'll DEFINITELY not vote"...and it is not a matter of being a patriot cause I know I love my country...but I can't just imagine suffering my self for something that just won't count.
