But sir, that is exactly what these whole ploys of screams and abuses are about. Methinks Lagos-Yorubas who have kept political power exclusively to themselves are trying best to prevent the all mighty mantra of "NO TAXATION, WITHOUT REPRESENTATION." from the so-called outsiders. Alas, the horse has since bolted.

It's finally over, by a seemingly careless remark of telling some people who wholly have never depended on you economically, and have rights of abode, owning property, free movement and worship as enshrined in the 1999 constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Then go back to your place and pay the tax to ur own state so it can develop and people can come and base their work their too abi...y develop another man's land.
I even heard u people are now collecting yoruba certificate of origin now yet most of ur children can't speak your dialect...Go and develop ur place too.Y una place no dey hungry us sef bro?

Excellent point. Yorubas do not realize that Igbos are in Lagos strictly for the money. We are not in Lags for the love of the Yorubas. As a matter of fact we are helping the indigenes in a thousand and one way. I can very much relate to the post above. It has just occurred to me that all the artisans working on my projects are Yorubas and some Hausa labourers. We are actually sustaining many Yoruba and Hausa families in Lagos. All the mechanics I've ever known and used in Lagos are Yorubas. I once got frustrated with their attitude to work that I started looking for an Igbo mechanic. Believe me, I couldn't find one within a radius of 50km.
Lagos is only attractive because of the huge population and market made up of mostly non-Yoruba's . But,the question remains : What has Lagos really done for me ?.

U see the useless pride we re talking about now been exhibited here u and ur fellow omo Igbo.
So without u the yoruba mechanic will not eat and feed his family abi and the artisans and labourers will be dead by now and nobody will buy land becos Igbos no want to...who tell u re the only one patronising them...Singapore does not have oil but it refining oil on a daily bases...If ur place does not av the necessary infrastructure u people can create it there and let the world really know what the Igbo nation can really do.u re here saying u are feeding other Nigerians while ur own place is been ruled by clueless people like Elechi, Orji and co...yet u say una be baba for nigeria, yet let dem call people who have money u re in lagos for, Igbo will nt still be in top five. So what is ur problem?...Do ur business and part selling make we hear word biko.

Nobody is competing with you people but rather what i see is jealousy and hate! Yorubas are not better than Igbo people, d same way Igbos are not better than the yorubas, hausas or any other ethnic group. Coming to d issue of witchcraft, I know confidently that yorubas also have witches and wizard. You know very well that Yorubas are very fetish. so please if you like, continue with your Igbo obsession I don't care. The only thing I will tell you is this: hate and bitterness only shortens ones life

Then wot u wrote applies to una now...always looking for wahala where their should be non...this whole issue started with una not being contented with ur host and trying to lord ur way over them...av being with igbo guys north and south of this country and it is the same character they exhibit...they always try to do like say dem wise which is not and try to make their host feels like they re doing them a favour by being in their land...truth is bitter bro...Yoruba pple too have been doing business in the east for a long time now, do u hear them ranting like ur people are ranting here in the west cos they know y they re there in the first place...they will come back here and establish their own...but una wan claim what is not urs...Jimi Ifeanyi Agbaje was using una head thinking it will work out for him...lol u know the outcome now...JK is just kidding bro...#peace out#

Igbos shd answer this questions
1. Is there a single political position held in the South East by a non-igbo?
My Answer: NO
2. Is there a single non-igbo working in state civil service in the South East?
My Answer: No
3. Do igbos sell lands to non-igbos
My Answer: No

All these privileges you enjoy here not only in Lagos, I know of igbos that own houses in Abeokuta.

Many igbos are in the Lagos state civil service

Two igbo commissioners, one igbo heading a Lagos state agency, two or three elected federal house of reps are igbos in Lagos here same in Osun

Lesson: igbos cannot tolerate all these things in the South east no other tribe can tolerate it and you still think you have nothing to be grateful to the Yorubas for?

Don't mind them...very greedy people, give them a feather, they will develop wings and try to lord over you...If they are in anyway a sensible people, other tribe in the land should be jelous of them ni now...but the reverse is the case...We know better than them, so their is no way'll be telling us that 1+1 equal 11...

is it for free? Are we not taxed heavily. Whether u lyk it or not,the Igbo nation feeds the lagos state government. Btw the funds do not trickle down to the poor,it ends up with one man(tinubu) he chooses to give poor yoruba folks what he desires and all the tym he shares peanuts 2 dem! Tinubu will continue showing u guys he'll. Maybe since he is the highest landlord in lagos, he might share his rent wit u when rent bills are due!lol

No Igbos don't have and won't have somebody like Tinubu. Do you know why? Simple the Igbos don't like one person lording it over everybody. Go and ask Chris Uba what happened the last time he tried the Tinubu style. And for your information nobody gives a hoot about who becomes your governor, that is nobody,s business, but don't use because of the hatred you have for the Igbos, and jettison the merits of Abaje and his ability to lead Lagos. Take time and ask yourself what you and your family have gained from tinubu's hegemony and control of Lagos govt

When u said "what they have gained" as if he should be pouring money in their pocket.what have your people gained frm ur clueless governors in ur place over the years tell us. Igbo man always believe they re wise,We re not hausa ooo,if we take u up, una leg no go reach ground. In every way and I repeat in every way, yoruba is and will always be better that your witch and wizard filled Igbos...The gentleness of a lion is nt becos of fear o.

Very shameless yoruba man. Lagos maybe in SW however very different from Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti in that 80% of taxes and duties paid into its coffers are by non yorubas...keep that in mind. When next you see Fashola commissioning a project...say big thank you to the non yorubas who are funding it through their taxes and duties. You think Lagos can function without them? You people should be very careful how carelessly you speak. Also say big thank you to the Niger Delta for your behemoth monthly allocation...you think you can survive without this handout by generous Niger Delta people? Speaking as a Niger Deltan, the day you Yoruba will marginalize any non yoruba in Lagos, be prepared to lose your federal monthly allocation and non payment of taxes and duties by non Yorubas...let's see how you will survive. You think Lagos would have attained its current economic and social status without nom yorubas and federal character? You want one Nigeria, you must abide by every law that glues us as Nigerians.

So that is y una wan claim what does belong to ur people abi...old cargo.
U talk of allocation, ur niger delta states like Akwa Ibom,Rivers, and even Bayelsa earns more than lagos, Y don't ur people make that place a heaven so people frm every part of the country will want to make it their place too.
You will never see a yoruba man so wanted what does belong to them...am sure u'll tell us too now that it is ur pple that makes Kano state tick too?...try it now and see hausa/fulani man trouble....Yoruba have been magnanimous enough with your pple(SS and SE) generally that you even want to lord over them. An igbo woman winning rep in Osun, can it ever happen in ur place for a yoruba woman.fashola making an Igbo man a commissioner even in kwara and igbo was made a commissioner now u want to govern them in their land cos they gave u a feather u re now developing wings bah.
Yet your place ain't any better than the yoruba place in any way.Yet in all ways , this same yoruba pple have achievement our tribe can't rival.
My one cent is this: Go back to ur region and make us feel jelous to want to come there and settle down the way your pple settle in Yorubaland.

"You'll only see people who will try to be like the Yorubas, Yorubas will never try to be like anyone".

Seriously the Igbos should not allow themselves to be used as a political tool in the hand of the politicians.

Will Agbaje abandon his Yoruba heritage or even the Oba of Lagos in solidarity with his Igbo supporters should in case he defeat Ambode? I can't see that happening because instead he will rather settle his differences with the monarch while the Igbo populations will be left to lick their wounds.

The Igbos should play their politics with decorium with been seen as antagonizing their host communities or putting themselves in an unfriendly position with the other inhabitants of Lagos.

i dont understand this arguement,George Akume also won in benue,Benue voted for APC in the Presidential elections and George Akume is the minority leader, its only natural hew becomes the president of the senate.

The argument is that benue state has occupy the position for 8 years under david mark. Since it is coming back to NC, and since the SS and SE mess up, they concluded that it should go to another state in NC aside from benue state.
