No other application since then. I used my maiden name on the application then, even though I had gotten married since 2010.

My wife got delayed for F2 visa. The V.O asked her to state how long will she spend in the US. My wife told her that she will spend the five years with me till my PhD finish. The V.O. then still insist that she must state a specific time. My wife then stated two weeks, to come and visit me in Christmas and then return again another time. Then the V.O rejected her.

I need to know if a married person going for study with a fully funded PhD scholarship(full tuition waiver + research assistantsip stipends) can be given visa to go with the spouse and kids together? Do we need to show proof of funds(POF) for the family? How much for a family of 5(parents and 3 kids)?

or is it better for the person to go alone first while the dependants(spouse and kids) joins later? Like how many months later please? And its POF also applicable in this instance as well?

He's just too greedy to believe the qualification will make him more employable forgetting over qualification is also a problem and most PhD holders are academicians meant for classrooms and research labs and not offices earning huge salaries.
