Christianity EtcRe: The Bill Banning Preaching In Commercial Buses Is Targeted At Christianity by GreenCovering: 10:56am On Jul 19
The air space in a bus belongs to all the occupants of the bus irrespective of religion, race or tribe. One random person can not come and highjack it for his own religion and start shouting over everybody's head. Some people want internal peace and meditation while inside the bus. This ban on constituting a nuisance in public spaces is long overdue.

Thank you dear Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Nigeria shall be great again.

What is the deal of this guy with Muslims?! You said fulani terrorists and you're saying "stop Islamic agenda all over Nigeria" let the record show Muslims are not terrorists and they're never after the so called "islamization" of Nigeria, there has never been any Christian genocide in Nigeria, both Muslims and Christians are affected as a matter of facts Muslims are affected the most!! The only thing this pastor said is "enough is enough self defence is a must"!!!
Your head is well mounted. Anybody who has stockpiled arms will start threatening the federal government of Nigeria and will start shouting the name of the President and calling for anarchy across the country because of a localised issue. In the end, it is the same external influence using a set of useful idiots as non state actors to achieve their destabilisation agenda in order to control the centre or even execute a regime change, only this time pulling the other end of the strings. The federal government should not waste any more minute in rolling out state policing. That way they still stand a chance of retaining oversight at the grassroots before things get out of control. Alex Babir project now getting to completion.

Dialpad:
Is Dangote allowed to price his products in USD? I thought it was illegal in Nigeria
Probably because of operating in a free trade zone he is allowed.

Also, federal government not meeting up with Dangote's demand for crude supply as promised to him is critical to this. And renewed rising of crude oil prices in the international market due to sustained US(Isreal) aggression on Iran continues to undermine stability in global crude oil supplies. The world was at peace before that and Dangote too was behaving decently with pricing at the time. So don't forget the root cause people.

1. Even the Islamic idea of morality is opposite of what it is elsewhere on the planet, so spare me the Islamic tales. grin

2. I learned that Islam is incompatible with what most Nigerians and African tribes want and desire. It is a religion that colonized much of North and Western Africa for over 1000 years, and it is making a comeback through the same violent means it had used in the past to enslave and humiliate much of our black ancestors. undecided

3. See! You are already doing the Taquiyya. Anyway, for the benefit of those watching this conversation, I will post a meaning so they are at least aware of what it is when it happens to them. grin
So taqiyya entails that there is a threat to life involved. But when we are only having a conversation over a faceless forum like nairaland and you are accusing me of taqiyya, of what use is your accusation when there is no threat to my life? And of what use will such lying benefit my input, as a muslim, to the discussion. After all a reader will connect the posts with the provided evidences to make their own judgment. So I just laugh anytime one of you comes here to be shouting taqiyya taqiyya.

Allah Most High says:
O Believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you (…).”
- Quran 4:59

So as far as there is no commandment to commit sin by the laws of your land, you are required as a muslim to be law abiding under that constitution.

What did you learn from those books that teaches that a muslim should be hostile to his host country?

What do you mean by Taqiyya?

Kobojunkie:
Either the Taqiyya is really strong with you, or you have absolutely no clue at all about your own Islam. undecided

Here are 4 book volumes about Islam that I got acquainted with this year. I suggest you do the same if you have not already done this.

1. The Quran (any one of the 32 different Qurans will suffice)
2. Hadiths(So far, I remain busy with Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim which are both authentic--Sahih--- in Islam)
3. Sirat Rasul Allah -- The Life of Mohammed -- By Ibn Ishaq
4. Tahrir Al-Wasilah(Vol III) - Guidance on Islamic Law -- by Khomeini (also used by the IRGC)

Please, endeavor to read up so you don't go around thinking everyone is some gullible eejit waiting to be fooled by Islam. You waste your own time by such undecided

Buhari, a Sunni, famously used the principle of Taqfir to murder over 1000 Shiites right there in Nigeria not too long ago, and we barely heard a peep from all of the Islamists across Nigeria. But here you are telling me tales about what now? huh
PoliticsRe: Killing Repentant Bandits Violates Religious And International Law - Sheikh Gumi by GreenCovering: 8:11pm On Jul 11
Kobojunkie:
The Quran and the Hadiths are not Islam? undecided

2. Islam only designates a thing as terroristic if and only if it is done against a legitimate Islamic government. Nigeria does not have what Islam considers a legitimate Islamic government of Allah. Islam sanctions as halal the murdering of people designated as takfiri by other Islamists. undecided
No that is wrong. Because muslims are required to be law-abiding, respect the laws of the land, and maintain public order when living under a non-Islamic constitution or semi Islamic constitution like in Nigeria. Islam did not say that you must first change a country's laws to Islamic laws before you can live in there.

Islam does not allow tagging of people as kafir. In fact, the word takfir in itself carries the notion of wrongful accusation. And as mentioned earlier it is very hard to establish against a person or group. A muslim can not just point to another muslim and call them kafir and start attacking them. Again that is terrorism. It takes a formerly muslim person to publicly renounce Islam by himself before you can declare them kafir in which case you'd be talking about 'riddah' (apostacy) and not 'takfir'. I hope you are not confusing the two terms.
PoliticsRe: Killing Repentant Bandits Violates Religious And International Law - Sheikh Gumi by GreenCovering: 7:26pm On Jul 11
Kobojunkie:
In Islam, so long as Taqfir is involved, there is no punishment for those who engage in terrorist acts against those they consider Kafir by way of Islam. undecided

2. Taqfir and those imams are rendered fair game in Islam! We see the same happening all over the Islamic world, from Yemen to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Mali, Niger, etc. Gumi is literally saying things as it is in Islam. undecided
Takfir based on what? You can't just come and declare that western education is a sin and then begin to kill people who don't agree with such. That is not Islam. That is what Islam designates as terrorism. Because takfir is very hard to establish on a person or group of people in Islam. Additionally in a multi religious country such as Nigeria, such concepts is even more far fetched because various faiths agreed to live and operate under a unifying constitution.
PoliticsRe: Killing Repentant Bandits Violates Religious And International Law - Sheikh Gumi by GreenCovering: 6:41pm On Jul 11
Shaykh Gumi should stop using flawed logic to try and defend terrorism and terrorists. Let him explain the punishment that is prescribed for those who engage in terrorism and spreading mischief in the land according to Islam if he is a scholar who is worth is cloak. While the Imams in Oyo came together and unanimously condemned terrorism and terrorists and dissociated Islam from their cruel ideologies and helping with efforts that led to release of the kidnapped pupils and teachers, Gumi is still trying to pander to them using whataboutism to shift focus from the original criminal, the terrorist. As a scholar, your voice is not usually heard in defending the position of Islam against terrorists ideologies but gets loudest when their due recommended punishment is to be exacted on them. This is the kind of mindsets that is killing northern Nigeria today, a large part still under the clutches of dubious controversial modernist scholars. undecided

Source: God Has Helped Us, and So Will AI: How the Terrorist Group Boko Haram Uses Frontier AI
This is an indirect fear mongering about Islam and this is part of the problem. The usage of AI knowledge is much in the open and available to everyone irrespective of faith or ideology. This type of post actually gives them the kind of attention that they are seeking and bolsters them in their nefarious activities. As rightly pointed out by others above, this is not what we should be dwelling on. Rather, and in addition to that, by letting people know that Islam is against terrorism and that no basis is available in the religion of Islam for their actions, we stand a greater chance of doing more damage to their ideology, psyche and moral than this stylish near advert for them to relish.

It might interest you to know that the same concocted ideological tools being weaponised by terrorists is the same tools being employed for Islamophobia against Islam and it is the same tool being used by the global enablers of terrorism and is the same tool being used to keep non muslims in check of discovering the truth about Islam and its absolutely perfect ways.

The idea of uniforms in schools are simple .. it is to create uniformity among student.. if u cant abide, go and create ur school and wear wateva u like

…. But yall want to create religious segregation among students …..go to many northern states … shariah police will arrest a woman for not using hijab in some public space…. U are now here spewing lies….
Na be me u go manipulate with your taqqiya… i know about all those deceptions your Allah and prophet permit You to use on your fellow human you have tagged as infidels because they are not islamists
You and I are having a conversation over a faceless forum like Nairaland and you are saying that I am using taqiyya, which clearly shows that you don't know what the concept is about. You people make up stories among yourselves and begin to project your lies as the meaning of an Islamic concept. Someone said so, then another person copies him and you all begin to use them as statements of facts. So much delusion and misconceptions you hold about Islam.

For your information, the religion that supports and encourages deception/misleading people as a principle that I know of is christianity. I don't know if you are a christian, but if so, go and look it up.

To even think that this noise about covering one’s head is coming majorly from Christians is funny.

Like how does it affect them in anyway?

The school is actually not a Christian school, but they have no issues with every students singing praises and worship songs from Monday to Thursday on the assembly but somehow some students wanting to cover their own hair is problematic
That's what they do. They are experts at using systems and internal rules to suppress muslims and Islam. You can not avoid this treatment anywhere in the southwest. They have problems even with the gentlest of muslims for being good, kind hearted and easy going. What do they really want from muslims?

Though I respect the right of people to wear the hijab, it looks a bit razz, and could lead to a decline in student numbers.

Why not use a hair covering that is cool, something non-Muslims would even like to wear?
She is razz? I don't get. What do you mean? Isn't she easily the most beautiful in this class?

What's wrong in the school giving specs for sewing them beautiful? I mean a shirt can either be drab or fitting depending on how its sewn.

EducationRe: Court Of Appeal Upholds Hijab Ban In University Of Ibadan International School by GreenCovering: 6:41pm On Jul 04
JuanDeDios:
I agree a hijab is a fundamental right. But that applies to adults. Schools have the fundamental right to set their uniforms. A school is a regimented and regulated place. No one must be allowed to turn it into Dugbe market where you wear what you like
In Islam, an adult is officially set at a maximum age of 15. Moreover, a female child should be trained well before this age to allow for the assimilation of the culture. Even if we put this at 13 (which is considered very late to start the training but let's soften our own stance), that still captures the greater percentage of the students who are being denied the opportunity to learn their religion. So this is absolutely wrong.

No right is more fundamental than what the constitution already provisioned.
EducationRe: Court Of Appeal Upholds Hijab Ban In University Of Ibadan International School by GreenCovering:
JuanDeDios:
It's about the right of a school to set it's own rules, including uniforms.
No institution, school or system has the right to set rules in violation of a fundamental provision of the constitution which allows for freedom of religion.

Hijab wearing has nothing to do with extremism. As much as muslims try to separate extremists from Islam as not part of us, muslims also should not be hurt where the constitution already protected them. Non muslims always using institutions to undermine Islam and later on wondering where the radicalisation is coming from.
EducationRe: Court Of Appeal Upholds Hijab Ban In University Of Ibadan International School by GreenCovering:
Why should wearing hijab be an issue for God's sake. Something that is worn proudly by both major faiths in Nigeria in their earliest pure roots except that one group decided to throw theirs away and even began to hate on it because of the love of the world. Moreover it is a plain denial of constitutional provision. It shall not stand. Funny how a private school uses the name "University of Ibadan International School". They should be stripped of the "University of Ibadan" part of their name to start with because that is riding on the popularity of the name of a federal institution.

Where are those running with the argument that Dangote is still processing crude oil he bought at higher prices as a reason for why he has not significantly brought down the ex-depot price? Should he bring it down to below this ₦983.92 per litre now, then you should realise that he has been greedy about the pricing after all he also had lower priced feedstock processed for higher priced fuel at the beginning of the global crises. I like Dangote and I want his refinery to blossom but I have also learnt to stand with the general good of people rather than the capitalists.

Gboss247:
The right thing like selling at loss to have moribund refineries like NNPCL?
Or the right thing by your federal government introducing temporary subsidy on petrol?
He also had feedstock purchased at low prices before repurchasing at higher amount during the inflation. That should settle the argument for the remaining feedstock purchased at higher prices. Trying to gain at both ends of the market is greed.
PoliticsRe: Crude Price Fall: Fccpc Frowns At Exploitation In Oil Market by GreenCovering: 8:37pm On Jun 28
Dangote, you can't be right all the time. As your supporter I expect you to play by your own standards. Bird came to tell us that they were fully exposed to the market when crude oil prices rose sharply up to $120 per barrel necessitating an immediate upward adjustment in fuel price simultaneously. Is it not in the same market that you are exposed to that the same price has crashed back to
$72 per barrel or even less? The ex-depot/pump price should reflect the same swiftness too.
