Why do some government official always go to the media to give terrorists an update of the status during an ongoing rescue effort. Shouldn't there be a sanction against this apparent breach of the code of conduct of military operations? ![]() |
You need to understand the governor clearly so that you do not judge him wrongly. That is, nobody comes to you ask you are you Fulani and if not kills you. Equally too, nobody comes to you and ask are you a muslim and if not kills you. This is this the interpretation people of hidden agenda against the Nigerian state want to bring into it instead of addressing the issue as it is, which is, some deviants who want to force their ideologies on others albeit wrongly and people involved in armed conflicts over land and resources. Thank you dear governor. ![]() |
osuofia2:No they are not foot soldiers of Allah Almighty (if that's what you meant to type). Neither is their actions intended to help or expand Islam. |
May Allah guide the President with the insights to unravel and resolve the security challenges in this country. I believe in your abilities dear Jagaban and I believe you occupy a unique spot in history to be able to handle this. You will not fail! Insha Allah!! Ameen. |
This yoruba soup that people like to mock, gbegiri and ewedu, is actually a super affordable lifestyle that manages this condition. I think their elders somehow discovered this in the past and made it a staple. Wise people. ![]() |
advanceDNA:Yes. advanceDNA:No. Here is how it works: if the earthly kings and rulers allow the message to get passed to the people, no problems. And when the message get to the people, that's all. No forceful conversion. If the rulers did not allow the message, then there is a problem. Because the message must get to the people because it is God's plan for the people. That is why Prophets are appointed by God for this purpose. The Prophet (or his deputies) will put the earthly kings and rulers in their place (with divine assistance) and get the message to the people. advanceDNA:The people did not stop there: they wrote their own book and gave it to the church. Several countries with large Muslim populations, particularly in Southeast Asia and parts of Africa, had Islam introduced primarily through peaceful means like trade and the work of Sufi missionaries, rather than military conquest. Southeast Asia: Indonesia: Home to the world's largest Muslim population, Islam spread throughout the Indonesian archipelago largely through the influence of Arab and Indian Muslim traders, who established communities in coastal areas. The local rulers converted for economic and political reasons and their subjects followed suit, a process aided by cultural assimilation and the efforts of scholars and Sufis (such as the Wali Songo on Java). Nine Saints of Java: Wali Songo, "Nine Saints" in Arabic and Javanese, refers to the group of revered saints credited with spreading Islam in Indonesia, particularly on the island of Java, during the 15th and 16th centuries. Malaysia and Brunei: Similar to Indonesia, Islam was introduced through trade and intermarriage. The rulers of key port cities and sultanates (like the Sultanate of Malacca) converted, which facilitated the spread of the religion throughout the population without major battles. Africa: Mali, Senegal, Ghana, and Nigeria (initially): In West Africa, Islam was primarily spread by Berber and Arab trans-Saharan traders. The local populations and rulers, such as those of the Ghana and Mali empires, adopted Islam through peaceful interaction and trade benefits, often integrating it with local culture. Swahili Coast (East Africa): Along the East African coast, cities like Mombasa, Zanzibar, and Dar es Salaam saw Islam flourish through centuries of maritime trade and the establishment of merchant colonies, again, without significant initial military conquest by outside Muslim armies. In these regions, the spread of Islam was a gradual process, characterized by commercial contacts, intermarriage, and the preaching of Sufi scholars, allowing for local adaptation and a unique form of Islamic civilization to flourish. Ottoman caliphate The majority of Bulgarians did not convert to Islam under the Ottoman Empire primarily due to the Ottoman state's official policy of religious tolerance towards non-Muslims, the autonomy of the Orthodox Church, and the nature of Bulgarian society, which was predominantly rural. Conversion to Islam was a choice for individuals, not a systematically enforced policy across the general population. Considering that this is a country where the Ottomans rule over for ovr 400 years. So where is the forcefulness? Then in Romania, close to Bulgari, read about saint Sari Saltik Babadeg and how he spread Islam to over a quarter of that country I can see much of your opinions are formed by conflicts in recent years (though unfortunate) and not by genuine historical facts. |
They didn't at least demand that other faiths can not have music and they didn't directly call for its cancellation. This implies that they don't want the music classes for their wards. The word 'cancellation' was used as an opinion of the media house, which could be right when you consider that the ministry dropped the positions. Perhaps the education board could have reduced its scope to the less than 10% who may want it. Either way, the muslims have not coerced any entity as you had painted it. advanceDNA:Before Nigeria's independence, Islamic law (Sharia) was a functioning legal system in the northern parts of the country, particularly within the Sokoto Caliphate, which applied to both civil and criminal matters. Following the British conquest, a hybrid system was created, where colonial rule maintained Sharia courts for civil matters like marriage and inheritance, but the British penal code replaced criminal aspects under the "indirect rule" system (Simply googling this can help you here) advanceDNA:The "greater jihad" is a concept from a famous hadith where Prophet Muhammad distinguishes between the "lesser jihad" (military struggle) and the "greater jihad" (the internal spiritual struggle). According to this tradition, the greater jihad is the more important and difficult struggle against one's own ego, passions, selfishness, and evil desires. It is a way to emphasize the importance of inner spiritual warfare over physical conflict. Where this path has been followed, muslims have been a lot more successful and influential. Take senegal for example. No extremism, no radical ideologies, no controversial scholars, no war mongers etc. The result: peace and excellent people and tolerance yet stronger Islam. This is the same thing in many muslim locations around the world. In fact, Nigeria was like this before. Largely peaceful co-existence among the faiths. Those who are sensitive to these issues knew when things started getting skewed. The result is what we are witnessing today. advanceDNA:But that religion needs to get to the people to start with. And obstacles were posed by the power holders of those era to religious (information) dissemination. This was the reason for the physical jihad during that era. In fact, scholars are of the opinion that once there are no obstacles, then physical jihad is not necessary. Those battles emanated from these obstacles. |
advanceDNA:No they didn't say that only their own view must stand. They only said that they don't want it for themselves. Perhaps, the board thought it wise to not deploy resources for it again given that the popular view is against it. I assume you are referring to Nigeria for the other points. But come to think of it, these Islamic laws have been with the people in those areas before the arrival of the laws backed by the colonial powers. So whose values was getting pushed aside? jihad, as correctly put is struggle (striving to be your better self). But it does not mean beheading. That is terrorism. In reality, jihad is more personal than confrontational. Terrorists gave it a whole new meaning. |
advanceDNA:Of course both studies can coexist in the school technically. But this is a country of predominantly muslims, over 90%. So their laws are bound to be influenced by Islam, which disapproves of music. So if over 90% of a country's citizenry does not approve of learning it, of what use is putting it there and making them learn it? If muslims were making this demand in a place like in the UK, then of course it is out of place for them to do so. |
Ever8090:Small advice na im you go dey write project? Well, my only prayer is that may God guide you if you are indeed a sincere seeker. But just to pick one out of the several flaws in your writing. "There was a moment he killed a woman's husband, her father and brother and married her." Facts: Her relatives got kpaid in a battle which they had willfully participated in and which their army had preplanned with over 10,000 ground forces. It's not like muslims invaded their homes and kpaid them. She chose to marry the Prophet (s.a.w.) of her own free will. She was taken captive after the battle but during profiling her noble status became apparent at which point she was offerred to go back to her people freed or convert and marry the Prophet. She chose the latter option. This was actually a risk for the Prophet (s.a.w.) but it proved to be beneficial in the long run in rebuilding the relationship between the two parties as it ended further wars that could have been fought. |
Ever8090:If you attach yourself spiritually to the true teachings of Jesus and his lifestyle, it will lead you back to Islam again. The enemies of Islam have placed a smokescreen on it through evil machinations such as misrepresentations, outright lies and devious state manipulations with active collaborators from within. That is what you are seeing now because that is what they want you to see. But in there (Islam) is the ultimate truth. |
The lady that was killed is a muslim. The soldiers she was supporting through her work are muslims. So don't the Islam of these people count too? Why are people taking the actions of others who have lent themselves to terrorism and who could be under foreign sponsorship, as Islam. Have people really lost the ability to connect the dots due to hate? ![]() |
SIRTee15:May be you need to reread the news once again to understand it better. The school board introduced more positions under music and physical education in a single communication. The people protested against that release on the grounds that schools were lacking in enough religious instructors but instead of addressing that issue, the ministry is adding extra position for music teachers. "Various religious and political organizations raised objections, demanding the creation of religious teacher positions instead of music teachers, and launched protests." Then as a result of these protests, the communication was withdrawn. So the people's grouse was against the bringing in of more music teachers and not particularly against physical education which was contained in the bulletin as well. The people know what they wanted and they know where their distaste was. But when the enemy wants to attack and smear Islam, they know how to deliver the combo to front their mischief. Only discerning eyes are able to see through most times and there's nothing to be ashamed of. |
Apparently it is music that is getting banned. They are only using the physical education aspect to spice up the story. Islam prohibits unbridled mixing of males and females and not physical education. You guys always looking for a way to misrepresent Islam. ![]() |
Russia simply bowed to the power that prevails in the world as at now. They have no choice but to accept the visit when Sharaa had met Trump with approval several times before meeting Putin and has now visited the white house and France and Saudi prior. What options do you think that Putin really has? So whoever thinks America is going to fall soon will need to rethink it again, They may be ailing but they still possess the far reaching and superior influence than any country in the world. A country that has other countries as their foot soldiers will require more than just ailing to fall. That is the advantage that they have to make others fall in line. But at the end of the day, they are an evil country anyway. |
Turkey/Istanbul doesn't tolerate his kind of perspectives on Islamic matters. This is more of a photo ops for image galvanization. Hope he doesn't cross the lines while there. Infact, he could be getting himself exposed for easy pick up as it stands. ![]() |
That is an example of how the west's deep state operate in full cycle. They will raise terrorists to give Islam a bad name. Have the media trumpet to the high heavens their devilish ideas which they attribute to Islam errorneously but deliberately. Use the terrorists to cause havoc in muslim lands and project that image to the world in order to turn humanity (high percentage of gullible people) against muslims. If these devils succeed they are rewarded with the muslim lands and you won't even see anything indicative of Islam in them again thereafter, same people that were hitherto shouting "Allahu Akbar" while harming innocent people. If they did not succeed or renege, the west will move in themselves to start taking them out one after another. At the end of the day the goal is the same, destroy the only standing religion that gives humanity morality and purpose and turn humanity into money worshipping capitalists devoid of any sense of morality. ![]() |
That is it! The changing rhetorics once they gain access and begin. You think someone who calls your country a disgrace and regard you as shithole will treat you with dignity once you welcome him in. Thread carefuly my people what you wish for! Let's solve our problems internally!! ![]() |
Perhaps these were some of the feats that made him really scary to kogi people. fGYB was really feared. |

The sultan needs to make some response one way or the other to some of these hard questions posed by Mike Arnold because they are too deep to ignore. Granted, the sultan can not be compelled by Mike Arnold to respond to him, but the gravity of some of these allegations are weighty and need to be addressed one way or another. As a muslim, I have been concerned also about the wanton loss of muslim lives under his caliphate. And as a Nigerian, I sincerely want an end to these insecurities everywhere. |
As a person of interest even among Nigerians and having once been deported from Pilgrimage on security grounds I don't expect Ahmad Gumi to speak on this matter especially by assuming an advisory position to the government. He should stay quiet, at least for now. ![]() |
nairalanda1:Very intelligent take here. Intoxicated by the power of America's might, many people can not see the bigger ramifications if our sovereignty is breached and the first American bomb drops. Once America secure their places of interest, everyone will be left on their own. Then the monsters will take over from all directions. The vast borders of the north will be let loose and agricultural production will take the first hit. Then we will realise that no region is safe after all because the first effect will be sky high inflation due to food shortages. The rest is better imagined than mentioned as armed groups now take full centre stage due to weakened military by the invading power... It is only a purely Nigerian solution that will truly deliver us from this security challenges imho. Pray for PBAT Pray for Nigeria |
Isn't it wrong that this man be addressing the President of a sovereign country in this manner and people be cheering him on? Are we not our own problem like this? ![]() |
FFK and his friend understand the core of the matter plus a few nairaland members from what I have read so far. However, majority are caught in the middle because of 'us' vs 'them' syndrome. I sincerely hope and pray that it doesn't happen. But in the event of the U.S. breaching our sovereignty, no body, group, tribe, nation or religion, or region and I mean, absolutely nobody is going to benefit from that occurrence except the U.S. themselves from what they shall loot. The aftermath will be even more unimaginably catastrophic for a country that is the worst recipe for disintegration given its over 50 different nationalities, tribes and doctrinal affiliations. God help PBAT with the wisdom to handle this and profer a Nigerian solution. God help Nigeria. ![]() |
You failed to prove that Islam teaches men to marry daughter out at age 4, or, 6, or 9 or so minor ages. You failed to prove that Islam teaches trading of women for price. You failed to prove that Islam does not give a woman choice in her own marriage. All you do is latch on to what someone does which are affiliated to their customs or some individuals excesses, yet you want to control public opinion. You lack knowledge of what you are preaching about and your mentality is utterly sick. You should change your ways because lyeing against Islam will get you burnt in the end. Kobojunkie: |
Yes you are wrong because it is haram for women to be traded for price. Reason: her consent must be sought for marriage. That is the example that The Prophet (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) showed. You cook up lies in your coven against Islam to come and be spreading in a public forum. Kobojunkie: |
The Prophet (s.a.w) had a daughter and he married her off at the age of 19 years old. How do people selling their daughters off at a tender age of 10 or less due to poverty a reflection of the above example? It has also been proven that Aisha's age at the time of marriage to the Prophet can not be 9 (or other tender age figures) as this is mathematically and historically impossible. It is found to be 18. But because the content creator wanted to reduce her video to name calling and mudslinging she chose to stick to the common narrative that was communicated in hadith book. By the way, hadith books are not ordained books of Islam and authors could make numerical errors e.g. recording 16 as 6 or 19 as 9. https://www.reddit.com/r/DebateReligion/comments/105yqb3/prophet_muhammad_%EF%B7%BA_did_not_marry_aisha_ra_at_the/#:~:text=Age%20in%20Comparison%20with%20Daughter,different%20conclusions%20about%20her%20age. The youtuber did not make her research well and was only out with insidious motives to malign a religion due to hate. If you are the content creator, well, you got it all twisted up. Kobojunkie: |
This is a regular occurrence for Muslims communities ravaged by these insecurities. Nobody to amplify their pain and cries. So much dragfooting by the FG on changing the security apparatus of the country. I'm interested in seeing what changes PBAT brings to the table with respect to this banditry once this issue of shake up in the military has been sorted. |
