What is the intention of a muslim for going to people's places of worship to harm them or even harming random people at all? May be the news reads better that way. On top of that, the Prophet also put some many restrictions about muslims keeping slaves that it doesn't make sense to keep them as slaves for too long thereby becoming arguably the first human to break the yoke on slavery before other nations started championing the idea for full emancipation.
