Inna li llahi wa inna ileihi raajiuun The people who preached peaceful coexistence are exiting one by one. May Allah accept him among the righteous. Ameen ![]() |
These are the true representatives of the people and the muslim faith they profess. Thank you dear senator Musa. ![]() |
Boko haram, bandits and everyone terrorising innocent people are criminals from the pit of hell. Calling them jihadists is either an erroneous application of the term 'jihad' or it is an attempt at whitewashing these evildoers. These agents of destructions are not fighting for Islam, have nothing to benefit Islam and Islam also does not need them too. |
Quite disheartening ![]() |
I urge the national assembly to recommend that no person indicted, home or abroad, in having a hand in insecurity in Nigeria be allowed any say or position in the state policing design. |
- Calls on National Assembly to amend laws to allow willing states to establish state police. Dear SP Akpabio and Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas, please do the needful. We want urgent and swift actions on this. Thank you Sirs |
But things have only gotten worse under your watch, Bello Matawalle. When people are appointed to play a role in an office in Nigeria, they turn themselves into the office itself. Imagine what he is saying. So without you nothing good can work in Zamfara state. Or is this an admittance of being the hands behind the negativities in Zamfara state? The earlier Jagaban gets rid of this man, the better for him. ![]() |
Who is the Shugaba guy in charge of the sharing formula? Since we all know shugaba is not a name but a title (meaning the leader), it might be the shocker!!! ![]() |
AlhamdulIllah On to Nasarawa asap Thank you everyone involved in the line of the rescue. Thank you Jagaban. |
This is unIslamic even if these terrorists claim to control and govern the place. You can't kill someone solely for idol worshipping. This is terrorism and this is how they give Islam a bad name. ![]() RaptorX:You were not delusional. God was speaking to your heart of hearts. Wickedtruths:You actually made a good point Sir. Worse, they could have expelled them from their territory, until the military comes for them too. BAILMONEY:"THE WAGES OF A SINNER IS DEATH!" has no origin in Islam and cannot be used as a basis to kill someone who worships idols. |
the country is facing a scale of rural insurgency that no army in the world is designed to defeat through force alone. - Gumi All this is whitewashing his radical views and sympathy to terrorists. That is why MBS, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, had him deported because he doesn't want these radical preachers to continue to have bases in Saudi Arabia again. And that is why they preach against him. |
That's how in another report he was quoted as categorising terrorism participants by tribe thereby attempting to divert away attention from the progressive radicalisation of many muslim youths by dangerous preachers that now follow the path laid out by his father, the older Gumi. No doubt he is an expert in psy op and in playing mind games. You can't listen to them preach and feel spiritually uplifted for once. ![]() |
Voltron007:How does it not make sense? I am furious children lives are at stake in the hands of terrorists due to a possible lack of willingness to cooperate with government effort. ![]() |
As disheartening as this particular kidnapping incident may be, please listen to the interview presidential aide, Onanuga, granted about the lack of coorperation from the school in the government's efforts to embark on a rescue mission. Are they now releasing the list because he spoke and directly indicted them? ![]() |
iLoveYouToo:This was the approach the US seals wanted to use and rescue the chibok girls during Jonathan era. But saboteurs within the ranks notified the terrorists and somehow helped them get gas masks to prepare for that operation while leaving the abducted girls vulnerable. That's why Jonathan became very furious and declared that boko haram has infiltrated his government. Saboteurs in the hierarchy has become one of the major concerns in the fight against terrorism. And this is the reason I am in support of people and locally oriented security structure. |
Omoh! I dey vex like this for that CAN chairman in Niger state. Should this turn out to be an attempt to frame the Nigerian government for external interests, then hmm... let me hold it here for now. ![]() |
Lovit:Forced marriage is not Islamic but cultural because Islam actually is against it and prohibits marrying women against their consent. Too much lies against Islam on nairaland. ![]() |
State Police: The Forum reaffirms its support for the establishment of State Police, emphasizing that "The Time is Now" and it can no longer be delayed. God bless these progressive governors. ![]() |
This is not a tribe sorting problem. It is a radicalisation problem brought about by terrorism sponsors or separatist leaders. Solve the radicalisation problem and everything disappears. |
Governors wey sabi. One would imagine that the northern state governors would be at the forefront of agitating for this measures because of how hard hit their states are by terrorism. But no, they won't. They blame the Federal government while seeking more security allocations. Zero proactive measures or advocacy for such measures. |
advanceDNA:Fact: Islam has spread more through non military conquest than through military conquests. These efforts were led by muslim saints, scholars and ambassadors who voyaged or journeyed into other countries and regions. No amount of posts on Nairaland can change this. Fact: Wars were fought against rulers who prevented God's word from reaching the people. It is necessary practice in Islam to deliver its message to the people. So those confrontations were inevitable during the eras of fiefdoms. There are many muslim centres and outreach posts today all over Europe and America who are responsible for the increasing spread of Islam in these continents. Terrorism is a different thing entirely. Terrorists only seek forceful control. It doesn't help any faith to spread. We know the sources of the terrorism agenda into Islam. The face they want to give of it for Islam and the evil hands behind it. |
advanceDNA:As far as the historical facts show that Islam has spread more and durably so through non military conquests than through military conquests, then much of what you have written there is false. Trying to sound correct does not mean being correct. |
wellmax:Sorry how did I express worry? |
Nobody is trying to Islamise you, focus on your church jor. Islam doesn't need terrorists to appeal to peoples hearts neither are these terrorists helping Islam as well. If anything, they have constituted the major stumbling block to true muslim evangelism. ![]() |
Besides ipob, the other extremist groups he is pointing out largely subscribe to the radical interpretation of Islam that he (this Gumi) and his late father (Gumi) had helped championed in Nigeria. So this is not a tribe categorisation problem, rather it is a radicalisation problem that he himself is complicit for. Psy op being attempted here by this man. ![]() |
franchasofficia:Why do you say so when in 2025 top intellectuals or achievers from around the world (including Nigeria) who are at the summit of enlightenment are turning to Islam and finding peace of heart and reconciliation with raison d'etre of human existence? ![]() |
This is very low coming from Peter Obi. If we truly want Nigeria to get better then the influential people should not let terrorists take cover behind their backs when their own people is involved. By this, he is no different from the people in the north that are being suspected to be terrorist sponsors or sympathiser. This is all so wrong. ![]() |
Thank you oga kperogi This piece could literally be converted into a national action plan against insecurity and it shall work with a surgical precision. |
This governor has been asking the right questions. Let's uncover the saboteurs within our security system. From there we shall know their collaborators as well. I commend him for having the guts to challenge the defence system openly with frank questions. Thank you Sir dear governor. ![]() |
This pattern of attacks and kidnappings show that there is a command structure to these attacks coordinating the next targets in order to send a message out there. The current Nigeria security architecture is demonstrably incapable of dealing with these kinds of crises. I think there are too many points of failure in the current response design: A location is about to come under attack, the local government chairman in that location notifies the governor perhaps after inhabitants have notified him of the imminent dangers due to unusual movements around the area or the area is already under attack also. The governor notifies the military command that is closest to his state, the senior officer in that command notifies the command at the federal level. The command at the federal level decides whether it should give the military command closest to the state the order to act or not and the command closest to that state decides to act or not depending on several factors that affect readiness. As a result, the points of failure is just too many. Besides the cumbersomeness of the process which could jeopardise the urgency that is needed to address an attack on defenceless civilians, a saboteur at a point along this disjointed chain of commands can render the whole process worthless of delivering an effective counter response. So why not put the security of the people in their own hands?. So that the people themselves can go into execution mode immediately in the event of the breach of their peace instead of waiting endlessly for a flawed and disjointed structure. Call it whatever you want to call it: state police, regional security, this or that guards etc. Let the people themselves be empowered to take care of their own safety wherever they are. Isn't it so evident to the blind to see that this is what these terrorist are happily taking advantage of. Empower the people to put these urchins under a counter-attack and watch them vanish into thin air!!! ![]() |
Flows001:But isn't it only fair that regions where Islam has become the official law of the state to have their own rules? It is, of course. Because that is a step above being just a personal law now. It only apply applies where the sharia is the highest authority of the land. In that case, if you want to openly recant your muslim faith under this system, you are required to move out of the place and do so. It doesn't prevent people of other faith from living in that muslim adjudicated land. In other words, it is a faith based treason to openly renounce your faith under such a system since it will have to be done or shown openly for it to be known anyway. Quran 9:123 O believers! Fight the disbelievers around you and let them find firmness in you. And know that Allah is with those mindful ˹of Him˺ As the muslims face mounting challenges from far and near, they were, as a matter of strategy advised to focus on the near enemies. It has nothing to do with showing aggression toward people. Quran 2:190 Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits.1 Allah does not like transgressors. Did you cleverly omit that? Quran 2:191 Kill them wherever you come upon them and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution is far worse than killing. And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they attack you there. If they do so, then fight them—that is the reward of the disbelievers. Isn't it abundantly clear from these that the muslims were forbidden from being the aggressor? And that they were only commanded to stand firm and fight against their persecutors? Why do you people like twisting up the Quranic verses? |
Flows001:If you read scholarly articles, you'd realise that sincerely speaking these wars were fought along the line of defence. Before that, the muslims had practically been on the run: from ostracising them to them having to emigrate to ethiopia and then to medina. So they were now being commanded to stand their ground and fight if war arrives on their doorstep. Scholars have also explained that this particular verse was revealed before the battle of Tabuk which played out as follows: the christian army who started the battle maneuvering and advanced toward the northern fringes of Arabia but chickened out when they realise that they were up against a formidable opponent. As a result the muslims only won an influence advantage in the region and they didn't use the advantage to kill even a single christians population that lived around the theatre of the war. Yes, in the verse, reference was made to previous wars fought against idolaters, which again were along this defensive lines. Because even after bouncing the muslims about, up to Medina, it was still the polytheists, who sent an army to fight the muslims for those wars. The position of Islam is that there is no compulsion in religion. Maintain your lane and I maintain mine. Terrorists can never define Islam. |
