Maybe due to the insurgency in the area. But a usual patrol down south, an officer is rarely seen only normal soldiers.

I think you have to wait for the recruitment time. A graduate with a Bsc is commissioned into the police force as an Assistant Superintendent Of Police (ASP). And ASP base salary is >= 100k a month

But i think they are currently recruiting though.. I am not so sure. You should understand that anything "force" works with recruitment. Its not something you go and submit your CV and apply for a job. Goodluck

Paystack is basically a merchant themselves who wish to accept other merchants. The real gateway is the bank. The banks aren't free.

Technology has gone so far that what matters now isn't really setup or free or costly.. What matters is trust. Can you trust someone with your money? A gateway can collect setup fee and still abscond with your money.. And a gateway can be as free as a bird and deliver your money when due.

Anybody can be a gateway.. Any merchant can be one. I know a guy in a complex that shares his POS with other shop owners.. And he charges them based on agreement. Not like they don't have their own bank.. But because they trust him.

So focus more on what you trust and the type of service you need. Don't look at what is free or costly. If a company has what you need, and you feel you can trust them, please go for it. Free or not. This is 2018.. It's about moving forward. Many so called gateways that charge are outdated gateways. Interswitch for example is so outdated. And they still collect 150k.. Like seriously.

I'll vote Paystack anytime for now..

Firstly, there is no such thing as instant payment. Those who use physical POS machines are settled 24 hours after transaction except on weekends. Same applies to web transactions. The settlement time from the customer bank to the acquiring bank ranges from 24 hours to as long as 2 weeks. So if u want instant payment give ur clients ur account number to do transfer or pay in bank. U receive alert immediately.

Regarding integration, if you don't know Javascript, Paystack has alternative code in other languages not necessarily javascript. Besides the code is basically copy and paste. No major work there.

So if I'm to recommend, I'd say stay with Paystack or contact your bank for a solution. Banks offer different solutions for businesses. So talk with your bank so they can set u up on something.

I know exactly what a PHP framework and OOP is but I do not see the purpose in the real sense. So let me ask those who use it,

What is the purpose of Frameworks and OOP in PHP? Frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter and so on exist and many web developers make use of these frameworks. But what is the special thing these Frameworks would accomplish that native code cannot accomplish?

My question also applies to OOP in PHP. What is the purpose of that too? Someone said portability but i think it makes code longer and unnecessarily complex.

What do you think?

I think diezani case is different. Besides why should Nigeria delay the extradition? The Cameroon man has no issue with Nigeria so why hold him back from his country?

I have seen ASPs (2 stars) on the road looking shabby and dirty. Police work na dirty work.

If I'm stopped on the road by the police recruits, I look at their ranks find out the most senior of the team and go directly to speak with him addresing him by his name and rank so he know I'm not ignorant of police work and duties.

They sit up when they know you how police works.

ASP is 1 star.

Its a University. Degree awarding. It isn't petty. The Policemen you know on road checkpoints did not go to the Academy. Do not confuse "Recruits" with "Cadets" as they are not the same. Cadets pass out after 5 years as ASPs. You cant see an ASP on the road collecting 50 naira.

Nigeria doesn't operate a Credit Banking System, please look for the fine print of your 'Credit' Card and read it again, what you have is an overdraft facility on your account. First Bank, Diamond, GTB... all na overdraft.
As long as the CBN Act has not been amended, and BOFIA and the Insurance Act (for starters) are unchanged, we cannot operate a credit system. As long as CBN still interferes in market operations including interest rates, forex, etc, Banks cannot sell real credit. Plus there are several other support industries that must thrive for a stable credit system to exist.

But isn't the point of credit card aimed at letting a customer spend some money and pay later? If that is same with overdraft, why is there a special system required to have a full credit system?

We don't operate credit banking bros. What some commercial banks do is give advance or overdraft... its miles apart from a credit system. You need some basic laws to operate a credit system, and we haven't scratched the surface.

I am currently a veteran in 4 different languages and web technologies. HTML is so easy for a Kid to learn. I learnt HTML in one day.

Practice makes perfect. If the boy codes everyday.. Builds different apps not for sale but personal enjoyment, you'd be surprised how great he will become.

So I don't think the boy is lying. He seems legit. Python is not so difficult as well.
