Has anyone used hellofax to contact IQAS before and how did it go?

[quote author=Bimpsy99 post=52043385]You're correct madam.

Esosa4real, I advised for you to go to BC office in ikoyi tomorrow because your case is peculiar and I don't think anyone here can give you a reliable answer. So best visit their office and speak to theme in customer services. I know however that you can order another TRF. Just that........ I'm not sure how that will work out for you.

I'm not sure I want to disclose why I changed my mind on here. But I'm hopeful it will end in praise. Tnx

You are wrong. That was before the update pre Oct 5, 2016....see link below

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp
Right! You're very correct. Just a quick test for you though . .... go to the link below, put in as a single, masters holder, 3 years work experience, no foreign degree, ielts L9, R9, S7.5, W6.5 and see your score.....Make sure you check the analysis of how they arrived at the score.....then again use W7.5 and study your score once again. See the difference?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Many people only know what you need to enter the people not how the pool will work in your favour.

There are many people in the pool just like you and are constantly looking for ways to improve their scores.
You get high points from being single,3 years work experience is max points,phd/msc is the max in its category then ielts L 8.5, R 8, S 7.5, W 7.5 that score give you max score .....just because you maxed in all these factors will give you an extra 50points in the skill transferability factor. Having less in any of these categories will drop you drastically. The main reason I sat for another ielts.

That said Mr Coolcash1, I hope I have been able to convince you that having anything less clb10 or in the very least having having 7 in all categories is required for a good score IF you want to go through EE NOT PNP, especially with the new additions of points for foreign degrees and all.

why request for a remark when the minimum overall band falls within the threshold or am i missing something? because i read it on the canadian website that an applicant language score must be average of 7 band. Gurus in the house should please correct me if am wrong o
A minimum of 7 in each test is required.

Esosa, please visit the British council in ikoyi on Monday they will put you through, I'm very optimistic that you will have an upward score.

I've missed this thread die, since I tried quebec and didn't work at the time. I sat for another ielts in October and I had L 9,R 9, W 7, S 7,5. ... This took my mark from 438 to 478... got my ITA on November 16th.

Although my plans to travel has changed, this is to encourage people out there to never stop working and fighting for your dreams.

God bless.

If you mean Alfa as a person who tells the unseen, predict the future or ask you to offer sacrifices in someones name besides God, then below is my reply....

What you said about Alfa almost being a norm in the North (particularly Kano am interested) is NOT correct. If you says decade(s) ago, I may agree with you. But not anymore, in fact there is no place in Nigeria where the authentic teaching of Islam is preached as Kano, thanks to JIBWIS Nigeria. Most people who believe in Alfa are as well doing bid'as. Presently majority of Kano people are following the sunnah of Muhammad pbum, and it's increasing everyday. Thanks to JIBWIS Nigeria.
Toh! Lexiconkabir, here's a more informed person as to Kano.... My time in Kano was almost a decade ago... So maybe a lot has changed. Alhamdulillah, it's a great development then.

. What a great religious leader Jabata would have being! I was once his ardent follower before he derailed (wayback unilorin days 2005/2006). I attended all his sunday lectures at Ilorin central mosque. He was challenged by many scholars in Ilorin to provide evidence in Qur'an or Sunnah that supports his idealogy but he was recalcitrant. I witnessed the argument that brought his defeat by Uztads Sarumi and that marked the end of his lectures in the mosque. May Allah guide us aright
I remember back then too.. You see, there's a thin line between extreme and moderate.... But in this deen... It is clear... Evidence below... Islam has been perfected thousands of years ago... Stick to it.!

On the authority Abi Ab’dillahi al-Nu’man ibn Basheer (ra) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: “That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear and between the two of them are doubtful [or ambiguous] matters about which not many people are knowledgeable. Thus, he who avoids these doubtful matters certainly clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor. But he who falls into the doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Verily every king has a sanctuary and Allah’s sanctuary is His prohibition. In the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be sound, all the body is sound and which, if it be diseased, all the body is diseased. This part of the body is the heart”.

I know that's your opinion.

But I don't think you should make jest of them.

You should understand that some of those people you're laughing at are victims of circumstances. ..While some chose to be in that circumstances.

Bottom line, it's not the formers fault but she's fighting to change it ,while it's the later's choice and she's happy with it.

We should all try to be human first before been a man, woman, rich or poor, believers or non-believers. Maybe that's the problem of the world today, we look down on the next person thinking we are better. ..not knowing we can't survive without them. Beauty of the world is diversity, when we tolerate, appreciate and respect this, then we can evolve...If not, we will never get it right.

Wow, this is a very spirited response. Thanks for sharing it!

Some Christians have expressed similar feelings about their religion. They feel that Jesus gives them joy when all hope is lost. They feel that the bible is beautiful and when they read it, God speaks to them. They feel that being 'born again' makes them better people all round. How would you convince those Christians that Christianity is not the true religion despite the very similar and rich experiences that they have had?
Errr! Truthfully, It was on a second thought that I decided to drop a comment on this thread.... you asked me to share my personal reasons and I have.

I honestly don't want to dwell into comparisms and the likes.....
IslamRe: Your Personal Reasons For Believing In Islam by greetings(f):
You said personal bah?

Because it gladden my heart and it's the only thing I have found that remains with me when all hope is lost. Islam is the light in my tunnel, and it makes me a more intelligent person and a better person as a whole.

I read the Quran and it vibrates through my marrow, as I have never come across any text like it.... (I read all kinds of books). And it further affirms my belief that only an Almighty can put together something like this. He says there are signs everywhere on earth but only those sincere and work towards righteousness will truly conceive it.
Example below;

God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His light is, as it were, that of a niche containing a lamp; the lamp is [enclosed] in glass, the glass [shining] like a radiant star: [a lamp] lit from a blessed tree - an olive-tree that is neither of the east nor of the west the oil whereof [is so bright that it] would well-nigh give light [of itself] even though fire had not touched it: light upon light! God guides unto His light him that wills [to be guided]; and [to this end] God propounds parables unto men, since God [alone] has full knowledge of all things.(an - nor. 35)
This is a verse in the Quran describing Allah..... I mean! It gives me chills anytime I read it....and there are various like that... i have no doubt am on the true religion.

These are the things that comes to my mind for now ....I could modify if I can come up with more.

Hope this helps.

Salam, although in yoruba proverbs. ."agbo ejo enikan da,agba osika ni".... maybe you're even at fault,or you added to the issues...or you're both at fault.... but let me just play along and just talk based on your post.

Do you know that there's nothing like "irreconcilable difference" IMHO. ... If both parties are willing to compromise and make it work...like sincerely.
The moment you think it's the responsibility of the woman or man only to make it work...then you're brewing discontent already.

Back to the matter,I deduced that "maybe" the relationship between you both is influenced by your families. ..and trust me that can only end in a disaster. You have to build your home. ,.both of you... decide what's best for you and (your kids).... set the rules, boundaries and keep to it together and the relationship will thrive.
Love is transient, and subjective, and you need to learn to love...you can. You build your own world.....you both need to show yourselves love and respect. .

Leave your extended families out of it unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Talk to her,sit down and decide how you both want it to work out and stick to it, please I know it's not easy as a man to compromise but try to. If that doesn't work, withdraw from her deliberately and see if she feels the effects and ask what she did wrong.... (that's a good sign) so use that avenue to communicate with her again.... If this doesn't work.... One of you is SELFISH and INSINCERE! And that will not work!

Marriage is a beautiful thing, it's like a new bud that has just 2 or 3 leaves, you need to care for it,keep predators aways and nuture it.

If these doesn't work, then you can consider divorcing her,be very compassionate in doing that give her her rights, belongings and peacefully separate from her. ... no one knows tomorrow.

May Allah rectify your affairs and grant you goodness! Amin

I hope this helps!

Can't find anywhere it is stated that you don't need ECA or ielts.
You don't need ielts at the point of applying because you can still apply and modify your application later as soon as you have it.meaning, you shouldn't miss the chance because you don't have it yet,you can apply and then write it and update your profile after. For ECA it's stated explicitly they don't accept it,they want you to instead send certified true copies of your credentials to them.

The application fee is somewhere there too, it's about 600 dollars for principal applicant and about 170 dollars for dependents.

I stated that I wasn't sure about somethings when I made that post,I asked people to go and read the links especially the FAQ part and let's discuss grey areas, so forgive me if I did give wrong impressions.

Thanks so much for sharing this. God bless you!

I have gone through the links, and it looks like this Quebec thingy will make sense. Certified true copies of documents are allowed.

I didn't see any information that fluency in French Language is compulsory. smiley

The important thing is to attain the required scores (57 for an applicant with a spouse/partner and 49 for a single/unmarried applicant).

Like irondome suggested, one can always leave the province after a few months. wink

@segbas: You can check out the following links on selection factors. It also gives one an idea of eligibility.

Absolutely true. Most of the job postings in Quebec requires fluency in French. The silver lining is that immigrants are not bounded to stay in the province indefinitely. If you stay for some months without job, you are free to "waka" to another province; as under Canada’s Charter, every resident has freedom of movement.
Oh yeah! Na waka sure pass, but I honestly would like to live there as long as I can get a job and integrate.

For people interested, I found some informations. I will break it down and Will post links, read up and let's discuss grey areas.
You don't need ECA OR IELTS to apply. As long as you can get points required without them.

First create a Mon quebec account (with a windows or MAC laptop),this should be done before 16th of august.
On 16th, by 8:30, enter your account and you will be placed in a virtual room.when it gets to your turn, you will have 10 minutes max to submit your application or your session will expire and you will need to go back and wait in line again.
You fill and submit the application, you can choose to pay with card or cheque or money order or something. If you chose cheque it must get to them within 30 days.
You application will only be processed when the money is received, after which a list of documents to send to them will be sent to your Mon quebec account.
You will have 90 days to get this documents to them.
(From what I gather, they want originals of your credentials, waec, BSC, MSC, work reference, birth certificates, passports or whatever they ask for in general)AM NOT SURE OH! Still researching. grin

Once they are okay with your documents, they return them and issue you a certificate of .... (CSQ sha angry )
This is when you will now apply with the Canadian government for PR. They ask you to do medicals and pcc and clear you.

VIOLA,! you become a legal immigrant.

Please read links below and let's see how poor my reading skills are embarassed

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/mon-projet-quebec/faq.html

If I find more useful informations, ill post them.

Thanks.

Hi guys, a quick question concerning WES ECA Please. My status states "Awaiting verification from institution". Is this a sure confirmation they've received my transcripts? The last time they I asked, they had received only the certificate I sent to them myself.
Trying to confirm from school if they've sent is proving abortive. Please does anyone know if WES does verification only when they receive transcripts so I can be sure they've received them. Thanks.
From my understanding, WES has sent a mail to your school to verify your result,it's either by postal mail or email. That will depend on their rapport with the school in question. You need to find someone in exams and records or registrar's office, tell him to check their mail as against the day WES notified you that they sent verification to your school. If it's by email lucky you,if not.you will have to wait 2 weeks before asking your contacts again.

In summary, look for someone to pally in your school, if you don't want to wait 2 months on this.

To apply to Quebec, you need yo be versed in French and if you both are, then its sthg you should actually pursue...
Quebec has changed rules, English speaking people can apply so long as you meet the minimum points which is 47 without spouse or 57 or so with spouse.

The only thing I have a reservation for is integration and jobs for English speaking people. Knowing fully the province is french oriented.

I'll post some links later.

Australia is way easier, more streamlined and faster than the Canadian immigration process. Only that it's lot more expensive and your occupation would have to be on their Skilled Occupation List to be eligible.

Check the SOL and the consolidated Skilled list against your occupation for a start. The rest is pretty much the same process as Canada. Write IELTS and get good score (all 7 or all 8.0). Get your degree and work experience assessed by the assessing body. Create a profile on skillselect. If your points are not high enough for invitation, seek state nomination visa sub-class 190.
Thank you so much. I just checked the list but my profession isn't listed. However,am thinking of trying this upcoming quebec nominations. I see that am eligible, I don't know what documents I need to have prepared to be able to submit. Also, will I pay for quebec and express entry fee too?

Anyone with information? About quebec or other provinces I may be eligible. HR experience.
