ACN is not better than PDP. By the way, is it not the same disgruntled PDP members that decamped to ACN? Even Temipre Sylva who lost PDP nomination is being courted by ACN to join their fold. Besides, ACN had an opportunity to show Nigerians how to conduct a free and fair election in Lagos state last year but they chose to make GEJ a hero by conducting the worst elections in the nations history |
success4:Substitutes plenty: Biggi, Meaty, rite, chopsy etc |
UAC just shot itself in the foot unless there was agreement with other members of the beef roll cartel to do same. |
kingoflag:Geeerrrrraaaawwwwaaaayyyyy my friend! Are we discussing GEJ here? Fools that keep politicicing every issue. |
@Alh haram Sun Newspaper is pro South East but it does not fabricate lies, unless you have instances. |
@Poster That news is a lie. We've realised it's fake. |
Goddex:In addition, NTA |
bowee4u:My questions. The bolded refers: 1) Who is behind the lies that GEJ budgetted 1 billion naira for his food. This was the message sold to protesters at Ojota and Femi Falana had even done one abracadabra arithmetics to arrive at a figure of 1million per meal which the crowd roared in anger against GEJ. 2) How come over 312 million was budgetted for food in 2011 and no one raised questions. How come we are suddenly angry now that atleast a minimal reduction to 293 million is provided for in 2012? However, I accept that a budget of 293 million for food is too high. The Presidency/National Assembly should cut it down to about 120 million. |
So much misinformation these days, why? Sahara Reporters, The Nation Newspaper, TVC, Radio Continental should prove to us that Abati is lying or else there should be sanctioned. Moderator, please move this to homepage. Nigerians deserve to know the truth. |
STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE President Jonathan Did Not Contest for AU Chairmanship It has come to our attention that some media houses are alleging that President Goodluck Jonathan was "defeated" by President Yayi Boni of Benin Republic in the “contest” to elect a new African Union Chairman at the 18th AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This report is false and is only the latest in a series of sensational and fictional reporting in a bid to cast the administration of President Jonathan in bad light. Let me make the following clear: 1. It is not true that President Yayi Boni “defeated” President Goodluck Jonathan in an election; there was no contest in the first place and President Jonathan was not a candidate for the AU Chairmanship position. 2. It is also not true that President John Atta Mills opposed President Jonathan at any time. Ghana and Nigeria enjoy excellent relations. 3. It is true, however, that in the last week, some newspapers have been speculating that President Jonathan may be adopted by the ECOWAS Heads of States and Governments to be the next chairman of the African Union, since it was the turn of ECOWAS to produce the AU Chairman for 2012-2013. Mr. President was indeed approached by leaders within and outside the West African sub-region to take up the challenge of leading the AU for the next one year. 4. While appreciating this kind gesture, President Jonathan resolved that he needed time to focus on domestic affairs in Nigeria, and that it would be practically difficult for him to combine the three positions of President of Nigeria, Chairman of ECOWAS and Chairman of African Union. He therefore rejected the offer. 5. In order to make his position clear, President Jonathan, in his capacity as ECOWAS Chairman, summoned a mini-Summit of ECOWAS at the AU Commission Headquarters on Saturday, January 28, 2012, to ensure that there was a meeting of minds on the position of AU Chairman. His preference, he noted, would be for ECOWAS to adopt the leader of another country, in order to promote a sense of belonging among member-states. Nigeria, having occupied the position of AU Chairman four times in the past, would readily support any such country. 6. As it turned out, the President of the Republic of Benin had indicated interest in the position, which paved the way for his unanimous adoption by the ECOWAS Heads of State as the sub-region’s candidate for the AU Chair. Thus, it becomes obvious that President Jonathan rather than being “defeated” by President Yayi Boni of Benin actually facilitated his emergence as AU Chairman. From this write-up, OandO did not deny being paid subsidy. Infact, their argument is that the subsidy paid to them was earned through business activities with NNPC and PPPRA, not fraud. We have heard these stories before and were not expecting Tinubu to come tell us his company has defrauded Nigeria of billions of naira, No!. Sanusi had said it before that the collusion and connivance that goes on there between importers, Customs, NPA, NNPC, PPPRA, Navy, Auditor Gen of the Federation and Fed Ministry of Finance makes it impossible for FG to defeat them in court should govt choose to prosecute them. |
Video is too sex related. It will spoil our children. NBC should ban it. Hehehehehe . . . sorry, ok, I forgot that the title is is 'Naughty' or is it 'Nawti' |
DrummaBoy:Zap you Mr. Man if because of your hatred for GEJ you choose to accept every piece of garbage hook, line and sinker from a media channel like Sahara Reporters. Damn! |
If I were Abati, I would not waste my time responding to this Sahara Reporters guy again. Sawore and his abracadabra reporting is a scammer. These guys are just receiving undeserved attention from the presidency. I heard their graphic design (photoshop) guy is threatening to resigned over poor wages. |
Wowwwwww. . . . . |
Goddex:Exactly my thoughts. |
@Poster Your reasoning is childish. |
I think GEJ will surpass them all. |
ACN is always pushing tribal sentiments. |
werepeLeri:You are not normal. Pls visit the nearest Psychiatric hospital. |
Ugo, that is Naija politics for you - mischeif makers everywhere. Your mum (not you) is the target. You remember, they started by accusing her of acquiring a house worth several millions of dollars in Austria. |
To add to the Finance Minister's clarrification: The 57% is futher shared among FG, states, Local Govts, Derivation to Oil producing states and Excess Crude Account. The FG's share is what forms the 4 trillion naira budgetted for year 2012. This clarrification is neccessary because one 'ignoramus' was misinforming protesters at Gani Fawenmi Park Ojota with Ajegunle Mathematics of how FG sells 2.5 million barrels of crude oil per day amounting to 16trillion naira every year but is proposing a budget of only 4trillion naira. |
LadyT:Mr Man, are you watching a different programme? This intelligent woman is providing brilliant answers to questions. By the way, why heap the blame of Nigeria's woes on a woman that resumed as minister only in September, 2011- just four months ago? |
ACN is becoming dissappointing - Always playing politics with everything |
9jvirgin:Esele is there to protect the interest of workers in the bill. |
Ignorance is a diseases. People should learn to verify facts before comming on internet to spew rubbish. There is no better representation from labour to the board of PIB than Esele. Quote me. Obviously, the guy understands the Nigerian petroleum industry. Esele had been working in the oil industry for many years and was also president of PENGASSAN for many years before becomming president of TUC. Apart from being a labour leader, Esele had been a member of several boards in the oil and Gas industry including that of the Petroleum Products Pricing and Regulatory Agency (PPPRA). You are doomed if you assume in your biased mind that his appointment to represent labour in the board of PIB is compensation from GEJ for calling off the recent strike action. By the way, is it GEJ that appointed him? No. It is labour (not GEJ) that nominated him to represent them. |
With due respect to prof. Whole Soyinka, the massive looting, estortion, harassment, disorderliness and loss of lives associated with that protest required soldiers to restore normalcy. Hoodlums hijacked the protest. In front of my house, miscreants mounted a road block to harass and estort money from motorists. An Okada rider was burnt to ashes from the bonfire set by these protesters. Let's all stop being hypocritical. |
In what way are the likes of Ajumobi, Almakura, Peter Obi, Aregbesola Amosun etc different from Amechi, Akpabio, Chime etc It's not about the party, but credibility of the individuals each party presents. Donald Duke of Cross River performed excellently and put the unknown state on the map as a PDP man. @Poster Have you visited Akwa Ibom state recently? Some of the Yoruba guys (no offence meant) on this forum need to travel out to other parts of Nigeria and stop viewing the West as Nigeria. I hate politics but, a few disgruntled elements taking to the streets does not mean people have turned their backs on GEJ or PDP. No sir. |
Mischief makers everywhere inciting gullible nigerians with falshood. Seun, Mukina pls put this on home and let people be properly informed. |
Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai This is to inform all my friends that stories about my arrest, or being attacked and brutalized by GEJ's security personnel are not true. I visited the OccupyNigeria location in Abuja and a scuffle between an Army colonel occurred between Dino Melaye, my humble self and some of the young protesters coming to our aid. The colonel wanted to seize my phone and those around me joined in resisting the megalomaniac. I am safe, sound and with my wife and children. Thank you all for the concerns expressed by email, text and social media messages. Nasir, http://www.facebook.com/#!/nelrufai/posts/10150467611202331 |
Is Fashola still the governor of this Lagos? So he was blind to see the looting, extortion, molestation, killings, and the near breakdown of law and order in the last one week? My cousin was ripped-off of 5000 naira at Begger by so-called protesters. Hipocricy will destroy this country. |
@Owerriboy Sharrrrrrrrrrrraaappppp your dirty teeth. Owerri is very peaceful.
