I stayed at thier student area while Serving as a corper the indigenes are non accommodating very hostile to strangers including the student... Life in ekiti was unbearable as they mainly communicate in yoruba including the student, thier school fees range from 300k-900k depending on your department its a source of income to the state reason why the governor is always trying to invest on it... Thier weather is what i love about the state they have beautiful ladies too but accommodating is zero for them, they are blessed with good natural view nice rocks and vegetation

Today the eastern yorubas ekiti and ondo lays claim to ownership of egusi and pounded as thier legacy which differs from the other yorubas that refers to theirs as amala and ewedu this is because benin had a large influence on the eastern yoruba culture.... Egusi and pounded is a special meal served back in the ancient benin empire on special occasion because it was a luxurious food.... Egusi and pounded yam was also a food to the idols... And the chieftain likewise also served on special event, if served to the idols it will be prepared with duck, without oil or Maggi and served with pounded yam.... Many benin decent do not argue this online because the relevant of the food in our custom is no more... The plant egusi belongs to the watermelon family tree it was introduced to Africa by Portuguese who traded Asia plants to Africans to be replanted here in the continent for the purpose of trade and profit the Portuguese did not only trade livestock, clothes pepper they traded anything for money....
