Samsungs pricing has always been ridiculous especially when compared to xiaomi so none of this surprised me
Well it's my fault for thinking Samsung will make the market competitive.

In what way? You paying so much for less.

How can I pay €430 for A52 5G with SD750G while the A52 and A72 with SD 720G cost $367 and €450 respectively. That is a rip-off to me.
Exactly my thoughts, when saw the pricing for them I was disappointed, having specs similar to the Redmi Note 10 series while having the pricing of the K40 series, hence my statement that the new A series will battle with the K40 series and most likely lose.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by gremp(m): 11:10pm On Mar 17, 2021
It seems the newly released galaxy A52 and A72 are going to be battling the Xiaomi Redmi K40.

Actually the S20 FE costs just over 600.
Even the S21 is like 650 dollars on amazon for the base config.

The S21 will outsell any phone this year by far.
Yeap, with Xiaomi almost nonexistent in USA which is a major market and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

but you can still play high graphic video games on the realme 7 right? because it comes with the helio G95 gaming chipset. it does support heavy usage like that.
With the way you're really defending the realme 7, have you ordered it? wink .

That's my problem with Transsion. They stopped innovation since 2017. The annoying thing is they are the slowest to adopt new tech or trend. Imagine this people still dishing out micro usb 2.0 in 2019 and even without 4G LTE for a phone of almost 50k in 2019!!
Their was even no otg sef. I nearly vex smashed the phone. I really needed that otg feature back then cos there was mammoth movies I wanted to port to usb flash and connect to my TV. I had an obsession for Downloading movies every night, even tho I don't watch up to 10%.

I prayed had in 2017 and was angry Xiaomi wasn't in Nigeria back then. I remember seeing juicy deals online but couldn't purchase cos I had phobia for online buying back then, especially when it's not from Nigeria/Jumia.

I liked the innovative back design for the infinix Zero 8. It was the first time I was seeing Transsion try to innovate in a long while instead of bandwagon.
Transsion only puts what what majority of the needs, no more no less, too efficient.

Yeap, the zero 8 was like a trip down memory lane.

Of course, it's using a mtk flagship grade gaming processor.

the realme 7 series is still pretty good because you get so many nice features at a less price. see the battery, camera and mediatek processor specs. then you will know.
They are good but I can't get the best of both worlds (HRR and amoled) at that price point so I'll rather go for the all rounder note 10 series.

To me I still prefer the Intel than AMD in terms of high end pc or lappy with graphics card.
Okay, but I don't think Intel equipped high end laptops have the long battery life their AMD counterparts have while having the same boost performance.

To my opinion the hot 8 was just a copy of Redmi note 9s, They only rotate the back camera then copied the side mounted fingerprint scan.

What made me more pissed is they refuse to switch from that MTK as if them curse them.

But ram and Storage I respect them for that.
I feel you meant the 'zero 8' not 'hot 8'.

The mtk processors are enough to drive the social media apps their users mostly use, so they don't need to put the latest of the latest of the latest in their phones. That's why the likes of the infinix note 8 can be priced that high and still use a mtk G80 processor with a 720p screen.

Fo ram and storage I feel they're cheaper to obtain than better processors and most of their buyers like to hear those big numbers which are more easier to say and understand than trying to classify all the SoC.

True...options were very limited to those companies.

S6 Edge blew everyone away that year in terms of design. That's when Samsung was still innovative and leading the way for phone tech. Now I'm just pissed everyone now following iPhone footsteps and design.

The thing I loved about Huawei that period were that design wise after Samsung and maybe Sony they were the next best thing. I always loved their design and sleekness.

All those Sony, Apple, HTC, LG weren't in my plans or dreams at all sef. Cos I didn't have the financial reach to buy any of their phones then.
Phantom series from Tecno was the next best option. And they did a whole lot of good for smartphone penetration in Africa.
Sigh, the good 'ole days of Tecno, I got the Tecno d5, my first android smartphone.
They were like the old nokia of android those years, different types of android smartphones like the keypad android and their glorious Phantom series. But they've stopped innovating since everyone will buy their phone because it's cheap and there are no other options, so until a phone company with the mindset of xiaomi enters nigeria and give them competition at that price range, they'll continue to sell like hotcakes.
The only innovative design I've seen and like so far from transsion is the Infinix zero 8's back panel, but people with extreme Trypophobia will hate it.

One thing I love about the tech industry is the fact that the throne is rotational.

Four years ago if someone will tell Intel that they will lose their hold of the PC market to AMD they would have rolled on the floor laughing.
Mad uno reverse card move from AMD, I have been hearing about them for more than 10 years and I found them interesting and my respect for them increased recently when, while fighting on two fronts(CPU and GPU) against the Masters of both fields they still found ways to gain more market share shocked .

Not some all iPhone 12 series are beneath it in a lot of aspects except Video Recording (iPhones takes more consistent videos)

The bottom line of the reasoning is because it is Apple or Samsung it is supposed to be better than any other thing even if it is not so.

Same thing applies to Mercedes Benz freaks who believes that no car company is as good as mercedes when it is a lie.
Yeap, that line of reasoning of "Because it has been existing for a long time or is expensive therefore it's better" is one that is prevalent in many people's minds.
Just like the 'supreme sticker' memes.
One can't just apply the word 'best' generally at all times, there are subcategories, Is mercedes benz of the best luxury performance brands?, Yes, Are their cars one of the best reliable cars?, No.

Good to see more Gurus in the house, but can you kindly explain the bolded.
Oh okay, I meant that with the Mi 11 launching in europe at €749 which is comparable to the S20 FE's price of the LTE base variant of this device starts at 649 euro while the 8GB and 256GB model is priced at 719 euro. The Galaxy S20 FE 5G costs 749 and 819 euro for the 6/128GB and 8/256GB configurations.
But the mi 11 has the specs to rival or subdue the s21 series which is priced higher.

Nha them, you done start. Don't compare iPhone camera with any Xiaomi Phone. They're not mate in all ramification.
That's not a rule of thumb, mi 10 ultra has been ranked higher than some of the Iphone counterparts in the camera department by some reputable outfits.

Just because they make cheaper products doesn't mean all what they make can't be compared to the likes of Samsung and Iphone.

The only smartphone on top in terms of camera right now is the huawei mate and p series, those people break their limits every year smh.

I swear.

These new releases will probably go on to be the best-selling of the note series.
Word, some people are calling it a disappointment but that is their own opinion. Not everyone has that kind of money to shell out on the flagships like Samsung S series or iPhone.

All these for under or equivalent to $300, cheaper than both the pixel 4a and iphone SE 2.

will the pro max b available in Nigeria? and if its more than 120k I'm not buying
Of course it'll be more than that with our currency inflation rising like yeast filled dough.

#120k will most likely be the Note 10 pro price range.

Whenever Xiaomi want to do something, they make it feel worthless.
On point, this will accelerate the emergence of new innovations because xiaomi and every other company have to best this next year.
Xiaomi has really upset the power balance of lower midrange segment with the note 10 series. I doubt samsung and the like can do better with the flagship mi 11 which is in the segment of Samsung's s FE model busy competing with the flagship s20 series.

There's 3.5mm jack on the 3 devices.
All pictorial evidence I've seen so far points to only the base note 10 having a 3.5mm jack undecided .

Stop been an apologist for them

If u own note 9s or pro and willing to change it for the new note 10 pro but got informed the chip on it doesnt even better than the one you are using, will you dare?

They even put that irrelevant 120hz that will take a toll on the battery

Xiaomi dey mad

I dey vex now
I haven't really researched about the chips sha but there will have to be a 60hz mode in the settings so no need to vex.

This is by offering my Xiaomi in the midrange segment. Nobody can match this, not the overpriced Realme phones.

I just wish they used a better processor on the Pro Max though.

Great devices overall.

I'll be getting the Note 10 Pro. Insha Allah
They probably can, but they've slept on xiaomi by thinking they've used last year realme 7 series to win the segment permanently, when I first saw the realme 7 series I was impressed but when the price started to elevate anyhow mò yá look away.

The note 10 pro on my mind too ooo, just imagine the amount of flash sales that'll happen before there's constant stock shocked .

how is the 2.4 ?
I'm using the 2/32gb version, call clarity is very good.
It's not a for medium/heavy multitasking or gaming with its mediatek helio p22, but I was managing CODM till they updated it last season which makes it lag and crash.
Camera is only okay in good lighting condition.

Overall it's an okay phone for light users.

Hello there.

Is this a custom ROM or a theme. If it's the latter, what is it's name? Thanks.
No its none of the two, I'm running stock Android 10 on my Nokia 2.4. I use chrome so the notification bar blends in with the navigation bar of chrome plus the website had a white background. I'll call it a chance alignment of colors grin , you're welcome wink .
