Noah13 it's been ages, hope you've been good bruh? |
nateevs:Although we've not been geniunely tested, I still see a lot of positives tonite. We've been neat at the back and deadly upfront. We're displaying the synchronicity and zest that a confident team of winners can ooze. Not to mention that the fans have been terrific too. |
nateevs:I'm enjoying this game, are you? |
Gooooaaaaalllllllll |
You can always sense something promising each time Oscar is on the ball. He's been excellent tonite. |
Ramires is a disgrace though. Sometimes I wonder if there's a place in Brazil where footballing mediocres are made. |
We're utilizing the width nicely, with Azpi and Rahman all getting involved. This is what we've been missing in the last few weeks. |
Sincerely, decorum means nothing to this party. They keep making the headlines for the very wrong reasons. |
The report making the rounds has it that Chelsea has rejected Monaco's £35m bid for Mourinho. It's understood that Roman Abramovich would be willing to part with Jose if only the french outfit can triple the quoted figure. I tell you, this is class. How a man having a bad patch would be sought earnestly in the transfer market is boggling to the mind. Say what you have to say about the man Mourinho, he's still the best in the business. |
Interestingly, the whites definition of sexy differs from the black's. |
Most phones have a support and protection app that helps users track down their phones when stolen. Do a little research on the web to confirm if your stolen S3 has that package, that should be a good start. In my opinion, I'll advice you to move on and go get yourself another digital pet. The effort you'd put in might just count for nothing if it turns out that your phone isn't in good shape anymore. |
Nihilist:There are many sides to this story that one doesn't know what to believe. JT came out today to deny of any revolt, accussing the media of cooking up the story. So brah, revolt or no revolt, I'll rather address the tactical side of our game and how it goes to affect our play, than clutching at straws. Even if this mutiny rumor get to be dismissed tonite by God himself, I'll still be of the opinion that Cesc has no business in our pivot system ![]() |
Hehe Wetin Robbie Savage do JT, wey go make our captain wan finish am for press conference today? JT gotta be fair mehn, Robbie had the best blonde hair in the premiership in his days ![]() |
"There isn’t one Chelsea player this season who could hold his hand up and say he's performed anywhere near the level he did last year. But it isn't just one or two individuals; it's a number of things. The lines in green are for airmak, who thinks collective responsibility is harming us. Like I told you yesterday, it's a group morality thing. When the team is playing not to complement eachother, then we're in trouble. The lines in red are for Chelseafan1 who thinks outscoring our opponents is the way to go. Hombre it doesn't work that way. When you're in a position like this, going defensive and grinding out results is your best bet. I'm sure Ibime told you that yesterday. The whole article is for my homie Nihilist who thinks attacking is our biggest problem. Just like myself, Ibime and now Jason whom I'm sure isn't registered on NL would have it, failure to maintain a good defensive shape has been our biggest undoing, a defensive shape that starts from how the pivot are faring. I hope Jason doesn't get accused of being bitten on the neck by Vampire Ibime ![]() |
airmark:The notion of collective responsibility is part of what many philosophers refer to as group morality. So brah we have to make sense of collective responsibility. Who was the best right-back in the league last season? Ivanovic! Now please tell, how did the league's best right-back become useless only after months? Lack of protection is your answer brah. There's a need for the midfield to come good, big need. |
Nihilist:This is balderdash brah. Cesc is no CM. Being a central midfielder doesn't end at stringing together passes and dictating play. Following the departure of Patrick Viera to Juventus, Cesc was expected to fill the void left by the Frenchman, that he was given the number 4 shirt. Just like we saw with Chelsea last season, Cesc kept chalking up goals and assists for the gunners whilst amassing several personal awards. He was idolised by many. But guess what? The almighty Cesc had only one FA Cup title to show for his eight seasons at Arsenal. It was all sexy football at Arsenal with nothing to back it up, same shit we're being served this season. Arsenal couldn't stand Chelsea or even Manyoo then. Cesc's inability to provide some steel in the gunners' midfield was the symptomatic of the larger problem surrounding Arsenal then. I'm sure Cesc is the only CM in the history of football to have been featured as a striker for his team. Being used in a variety of different roles simply entails that he's yet to make the CM role his. I can't imagine either of Lampard, Scholes, Gerrard, Schweinsteiger, Keane, Modric, Kroos, Xavi, Alonso or even Vidal being used a false nine. These are men that win the midfield battle, men that win you the game. Nihilist:I can't recall kicking against Cabaye's signing. I think you had that argument with lalaboi. Nihilist:My opinion on this issue isn't influenced by Ibime's views. What I'm pointing out is a big shortcoming that could Just be the primary cause of our downslide. It's in the centre of midfield that games are won or lost. The likes of Westham, Leicester, Everton etc might not have midfield big names but they sure have average chaps who carry out the CM role perfectly well. The likes of Kouyate, McCarty, Barry offer you more solidity in the middle of the park than Fabregas, and this is a take home fact. Where was our pivot when Jonjo was picking out Gomis for Swansea's penalty in matchday one? Where were they against Citeh? Against Naismith? Against Palace? Against Coutinho and co? Nihilist:Ivanovic's lack of pace was exploited because our phucked midfield left him exposed. The defence suffers when there's no protection. If the attack is the problem, how then do you explain why we're conceding on the average two goals per game? You lose 'cos you're conceding. Nihilist:Then again; Phucked Midfield = Loss = Loss of confidence = More Loss = Internal War ![]() |
nitlad:Sincerely, he has excelled no where, which begs the question, is he yet another passenger? Cesc's impact is only felt when he's on the ball and is trying to dictate the game from deep midfield, that's only when you'd find him picking out his mates with neatly orchestrated passes, bar that, he offers nothing to the team. You don't see him breaking up play or marking players off the ball. Which means, if Matic is having a bad day (which he's been having all season), then we're in trouble. I've always thought the hole is meant for Cesc, I've always thought playing closely to the No9, Cesc would usher in good fluidity between the midfield and attack, alas, he has failed there too. He doesn't have the much needed workrate to thrive in a hole. Watch what Saido Mane does when he's playing in the hole for the saints, he's nearly everywhere, winning the ball back and initiating a swift link-up with Pele. That's what a player in the hole does, Cesc no fit do am. Cesc might only come good if we switch to a formation that places a little demand on him to work hard. If we can roll out in a 4-3-3, I'm pretty sure he'd have two extra men in the midfield to help him live. Which is why I needed Vidal in the summer. |
Nihilist, Cesc was never meant for the pivot system, forget the one season wonder. Dude doesn't have what it takes to carry out the duty of a CM. The needed aggression and positional intelligence are always missing in his game. No be by up through passes, no be wetin we go chop. The phucked up midfield is the primary cause of our downslide, followed closely by the confidence issues you've been on which is just the secondary cause. Phucked midfield = Bad results = Confidence fizzles out = More horrendous displays and more bad results This is how I see it brah. |
nonsoroyalty:Fella scram! |
Bloodbath. Chelseafan1 tell me u're not gasping for air, we've got some oxygen tanks in the locker. |
I certainly don't see anything wrong in having Rami around as a squad player. Yeah dude isn't what you'll call the complete package but he sure knows how to help out when you need him. We saw it against the toons, we've seen it before. What I'm against is Ramires being considered a first-team player of Chelsea FC, we're way past that. |
There are not too many 'amazing' right-backs out there, so I'll say keep Azpilicueta at the right whilst Rahman retains his place at LB. Nainggolan is a good option for the CM. The ninja's rumbustious influence at the heart of the midfield is certainly what we're missing this season, and I really believe he's one of the most tenacious tacklers in European football. A mini-Vidal is what we need in that midfield TBH. |
The club should make winter acquisitions of a top CM and RB top priorities. Our frailties have been greatly exposed that even a footie neophyte just knows how to beat us. We're not used to this sort of situation. |
Nihilist:Prior to his signing, I did question Cesc's ability to play in a pivot and I also remember being attacked from left and right for asking. This was the premise I was travelling on last two seasons. What has Fabregas who had completed the season for Barca as a forward got to offer in our midfield that has lost steel over the years? Just weeks ago, I read an article on why Barca had to offload Cesc. According to the pundit, the people at Barca believed that Cesc lacked the football intelligence to play in their midfield hence he was deemed surplus to requirements. I wonder what magic Jose used last season to unleash the foreign beast in the guy but it looks like he's been found out now. See as our just dey parade around featherweight midfield. |
