Future leader: ;DFirst to comment ;DFirst to commentU just broke a record on nairaland! Competing with yourself! Congrats bro! U r the first to respond to your own post! Get in touch with Seun, guess u just won yourself a trophy! |
This post is obviously a joke!!!!! Seun please do something about the quality of threads that find their way to the front page. The FP should be reserved for serious and objective threads. Nairaland must not loose its essence. Seun pls act fast. Better still, some threads deserve to be moved to the jokes section but not FP. Nairaland o ni baje! I HOPE I DON'T GET BANNED FOR THIS! |
The new process is commendable! But trust Nigerians, despite the corruption-proof payment system (Paydirect) put in place some of those FRSC and VIO officials still prove to be innovative when it comes to extorting money. I had my experied driver's license renewed in Akure, Ondo State last month. After my data had been captured @ d FRSC office I was asked to part with N500.00 "for the office" without a receipt! @ the VIO office I was also made to part with N200.00 (also not documented). I ve been made to believe its a standard. On getting back to FRSC office for the routine eyesight test, I further had to part with about N300.00 (can't remember the excat amount). This was also not documented. I was also made to believe I got a discount! @ OP if u r lucky to be in a state where this is not obtainable u count yourself lucky! But I wish something can be done about those touts in uniform! |
Why rush to the press without verifying how much he had on him. I see this case being swept under the carpet as fast as it came to light. |
RUNS.TOEFL.GRE:I wonder why some people find it so difficult to be serious. So many lousy comments about being the 1st, 2nd etc to comment. Who cares? It is really nauseating! Is there a competition going on in NL and some of us are not aware? |
Danka7777: Here they are again...judas! They will doubt and ask irrational questions to appease their pent-up huff against such ingenious ingenuity instead of celebrating such a non-brainier.I see no harm in this question! It is not a criticism. Pls enlighten the poster. Innoson assembles but doesn't produce vehicles. The company has not yet acquired the capacity. I guess acquiring the capacity for this is the dream of this great investor. |
Viclov: ayinisong ur a veri big liar, Akpabio is not d worst Governor Akwa Ibom state has ever seen, u can't just start vomiting rubbish about AKPABIO, he has tried to an extent compared to other current Governors nd the past Governor of AKS, Victor Attah, nd u can't expect him to suit ur taste 100%... As for the examples u've hilighted i.e british prime minister, king of Norway, using commercial planes, u forgot that the condition of our planes used in Nigeria commercially z nt the same with that of the europeans, so u can't expect the Governors we have in Nigeria to use same, or u pretend to forget the crash that took the Governor of kwara state to Germany, If there is the money, any Governor, president, individual can buy for sake of seafty but it should not be as a private matter, bt it should be for the Governor of the state, even if he steps down, the next governor would inherit it.... nd the Nigerian avaition sector should try to sanitize the aviation sectorI need to address a misconception or ignorance u displayed. The common man isn't saddled with the responsibility of making policies which should help sanitize and revamp the nation's aviation industry. We voted a bunch of guys into power to do that under a social contract. But unfortunately they ve been busy acquiring and flying expensive kites at our expense cos its safer! So what is the fate of the common man who isn't priviledged to ve access to our commonwealth and common purse? Pls don't lean on the false impression that the country is buoyant! The country is not! Take a walk down your street and see the decay being experienced by all social infrastructure. Acquiring expensive toys shldnt be the priority of any right thinking Governor or President. |
darqly: The only thing I've garnered from replies thus far is nothing short of obvious and green envy towards bankers. Those of you calling Any profession overrated are the worst lot of all. You worked in a bank, didn't like it and quit...who told you what you do presently isn't overrated? There is dignity in labour, whatever you find to do with your hands, do it diligently. I'm sure there are some daft unemployed folk amongst those castigating a profession just because the internet is free now. Then to the idiot bank workers who give bankers a bad name- those of you on 75k a month who obtain EVERY loan accessible and can't even balance your till @ close of business- then come here to spew that slavery tripe...If you're tired of being a slave, shut up and quit already. Lastly, if I decide to spend all my hard earned slave-salary on a fancy car or trendy clothes and still borrow on top, #isityourmoney? I don't know what you peoples idea of a poor salary is but asides thieving govt officials, oil n gas, telecoms, ngos and a few entrepreneurs, bankers DO earn rather well. Mind you, I didn't say contract staff. Conceivably, there is nothing I cannot afford presently if I'm willing to save long enough...except my evoqueI love your use of the word "thrifty". I am not ashamed of that. I love my job and the profession. They can call bankers/bankers (your choice) whatever names, it changes nothing! |
Kslib: Why bring tribe into dis nah.. Haba.. Why do you enjoy tribal bashing like dis nah.. Even devil dey take holiday..haba..LMAO!!!!!!! One of the reasons I love NL. Its fun to be here! |
question: @ OP What do you mean by "We bankers", "Some of us", "profession is over rated"? All because your girl call you stingy man. What do I mean by those? They are subjective, interprete the way u want after all u ve a brain! Mean while, I am not incompetent. I ve been in d industry long enough to prove myslf and that is d reason am still there and growing. Must u comment? U for jst waka pass. Any way sha thank u 4 your beautiful piece of nonsense! |
Kakability: You want to know why they are stingy? Here are some point of mine. 1. They pay for shortages 2. The live in a rented flat family size as a barchelor 3. They are paying for car loan 4. They have numerous girlfriends 5.they are to pay installmentaly for most of the cloths, shoes, electronics, dstv, bbm and many payable. 6. They hav family that depends on them for up keep..howeva if u need a guy that is not stingy try Atm machine. But even at that you need a valid card and rite pin.I feel u bro! |
![]() pruchy: APROKO....u wan tell us say u dey work for bank. HYPO!Who allowed kids here? I ve no personal info on NL that indicates who I am! So who am I showing off for? U just displayed how shallow your mind works! I beg go sleep. |
I am a banker and my ears have grown dull from hearing this popular line from my female dates "Bankers are stingy!". I am begining to wonder if girls simply go into relationships because they need a dude to pay theirs bills and slap them with wads of cash whenever they snap their fingers! How on earth can a girl with self respect and self worth go all out to make silly statements about members of a profession being stingy. I think I some girls (the culpable ones) need to be told some basic truth which I percive they are oblivious of: 1. Using that line simply suggests that u lack self esteem. A woman with self esteem wouldn't go round town seeking a dude to pay her bills. I am not your father, wanting to date you doesn't mean am adopting you as a daughther. Who pays the bills of your male peer? 2. Using the stingy line is an attempt to blackmail. It no longer works! Its a stale trick. Try something new. 3. If u expect bankers to slap you with wads of cash cos he digs u, u r making a big mistake. I don't see dudes of other professions doing that! So why expect that from bankers? 4. All the cash u see at d bank is accounted for. We don't have access to it. 5. Bankers are not ATMs! If u need cash you can simply wip out your debit cards and walk over to the ATM next door. 6. Some of us pay more cash shortages than what we earn as our monthly pay! How do u expect a dude in this position to be so "generous"? 7. We love our jobs and wouldn't steal or live above our means in order to satisfy your money tisty appettite. 8. The profession is over rated!!!!!! |
In her I see a mother, a wife and a faithful partner! She has been there with M̶̲̥̅ε̲̣̣̣̥ through thick and thin. She has proven herself. |

this is what we get when we ve a CBN gov who is clueless, irrational and impulsive rather than professional. This is no breaking news! I saw it cooming. |
I used to see d FRSC as a paramilitary outfit that stood out as one with integrity. I just encounter 2 of their units at Gbongan and Ife roundabout along Ibadan-Ilesha expressway extortion N200 each from helpless commercial vehicle drivers. I stay in abj n I ve never seen such over there. I was told by other commuters that its d norm even if d drivers have all that is required of them by law! This makes the police force appear like saints, at least they r contented collecting miserable N20 notes. This shameful act should stop! FRSC officials here I advice u bring this to ur management's attention in order to restore ur pride n dignity in a country so disillusioned. Stand out and earn ur place in our hearts or continue n loose ur respect.I used to see d FRSC as a paramilitary outfit that stood out as one with integrity.
