Culture › Re: Help, My Happiness Is At Stake Because Of Tribal Issues by GrownMan(m): 6:29pm On Oct 17, 2011
@ christygenius

I am yoruba and God blessed me with a wonderful Ibo chick. We are very happy 2geda. Though neither of our parents had issues with our coming together, my father inlaw is pretty much another Dad to me and my parents the same to my wife.

I can only pray for you my sister, but I would advice you not to listen to all these Ibo this and yoruba that! My wife still sent me a text within the day to thank God for our home and I do the same. We have no issues at all at all other than the normal relationship things. So I am at lost with these comments on inter tribal chats from simingly educated people who have the level of access and education to even use the internet. I guess we still have a long way to go. Nne, seek God and this is from a yoruba man with ONE luvly Ibo wife and thats where it stops. I hope this encourages you which ever way you choose to go. God be with u

Celebrities › Re: Tonto Dikeh Says People Call Her Controversial Coz Most Africans Are Not Exposed by GrownMan(m): 4:00pm On Sep 23, 2011
Someone wrote this on Jimmy Sonde's blog,

A big fool you are. Can you bear to listen to the garbage coming from your own mouth? "My father has the money to bury me. So, why are they talking about it"? They are talking about it because you're not intelligent enough to know the ill-effects of smoking. Also, you do not sound as smart as you make yourself believe, as no father/mother would like to use their hands, or spend their hard-earned money to bury their child. Parents pray to be buried by their children not the other way round. What a daft stupid low-life with over-inflated feeling of deluded self importance.

Very shallow way of reasoning.

Somebody please knock some sense back into her porous brain.

All the above PLUS THIS

Tonto, a movie star has responsibilities to those who follow her. Misguided children may one day repeat what you are saying. I wonder? would you like to pay for your child's burial? Though sadly, I won't be suprised if you think thats okay sha, I go dey pray 4 u.
Culture › Re: Why We Should Support Tribal Marriages by GrownMan(m): 6:50pm On Sep 20, 2011

Waooo! A tough one! E no easy.

I won't be too quick to shoot either husband or wife sha, only God knows what else is going on. Either way, if she can smartly get them (herself and husband) a 2nd opinion just to eliminate his own fertility as well that would be great.

Na prayer o o and/or IVF sef get this situation o. A mentor or someone of respect could also advice them to chill as this is just months we are talking about, what about those who are have been expecting for years?

Anyhow sha…. I wish your friend and her family all the best and I reject divorce for them as some have mentioned above, marriage na covenant not to be taken lightly like this people today take it. Think well before you sign oooo, once you sign, you don sign is what I say to people.

My prayer and thoughts are with them.

Family › Re: A Family Member Informing Your Spouse Before Visiting by GrownMan(m): 7:36am On Sep 03, 2011
@ ne4real

You did the right thing in my opinion. Just to keep things smooth, your Dad should have called your husband there is no biggie in it. My Father In-Law calls my wife first on all issues as they are close, but my wife then advises him to call me just as a sign of respect and I love my wife for that. Its now a norm in my home that once my In-Laws (and my wife) do there planning, they finally say what they have planned with my wife to me and I never have issues with it once I am in the loop of things.

All in all, my wife and I are the team here and everybody is a third party something we agreed a long time ago.

Good Luck in smoothing things out

Politics › Re: Stop The Insult On Mr President by GrownMan(m): 5:44pm On Sep 02, 2011
Being a leader is not beans, when it works we praise you and when it doesn't we diss you.

I believe all leaders (genuine at least) should have this in mind. I for one had so many hopes on our President, but very sad at the snail speed at which things are going if things are going at all that is!

All in all, I am for keeping the respect, but as a leader, these things will(must) happen. We have the right to what we say about what we see and also what we hope to see.
