thanks to the yoruba people on this forum, the igbos cant ride people in this site. If not for the yoruba, the igbos here for dey insult people with impunity especially as we in the north are sadly less internet oriented thus are under represented here. Keep it up yoruba! |
ROSSIKE: ^^If you and your friend had used that time you spent gossiping about ''black people'' to actually develop a useful concept or idea, or a new technology, you would be much better off today, and a far better representative of ''the black race''. Instead, you've consumed yourself with the false notion that the problem is 'out there'. But the problem is within you.but i also know of a word 'socialization' and how important it is for human development. Socialization cannot be achieved without interaction. |
hello every one. I had a discussion with a friend and we were talking about the sorry state the black man finds himself in in today's world. He argued that the reason black people are where they are now is becos their is no mentorship. That if a single black country from any part of the world, be it africa or carribean, can start making big progress in all aspects of life especially in finance, science and tech, medicine etc, then the rest of black people will pick up. So i am asking, do you see sense in what he said? Pls say something insightful. |
ogugua88: Twitter over Facebook any day. I update my Facebook maybe five times in a year lol. The only reason I've run away from Twitter recently is because I leave for two weeks and return to see people tweeting the same nonsense. Nairaland beats them both to be honest.how many people do follow you on twitter? I say this becos, when you follow some one, the person doesnt authomatically follow you. So i follow some people and nobody is following me. I feel like i am not important. But facebook is good and i love it. |
op i understand what you feel and the situation you are in right now. You dont expect any thing more from people in here than what they have told you. Thats becos this is Nigeria, an anti gay community! Havent said that, i think you should sit down and think carefully. Know that the heart can decieve SOMETIMES so it is better to use your head. Here is your SISTER IN LAW telling you to leave your husband, her brother, to come and stay with her. this is despite she knows you met your hubby before her. C'mon, this is selfishness. And selfishness is evil. You dont have to fly at night to be evil. You dont need anyone to tell you she is an intruder (dont mean to attack your in law). You are not going to tell me you want to build a relationship on selfishness! Its not going to lead anywhere. I think a way out is to dissolve you relatn with your inlaw and delete all contacts. Keep her far away from you and stay close to your husband. Go out more offten with him preferably to a more quiet place, hold him tight and when he tells you he loves you, allow those words to sink inside you and let it bring back good memories of the past. When those feelings start comming back, dont hold it back. Allow it to weel up. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: thunder fire not only for being a lesbian but also to lure your husband's sisteri dont think she lured her husband's sister. Me thinks the other way round is the case. I mean she don dey for canada before an oyinbo land where those things are ok. So she don brainwash her brodas wife with those elonquent speech which appeal to the common sense and aggressively threatens the consevative view. |
no one to respond? |
What is your problem with abortion? Every couple has the right to decide it is not the right time to bring a child into the world. Plus abortion, if correctely done, doesn't affect fertility or ability to carry a baby. So, I really don't get what's bothering you here. She had a life before she met you, so some things happened in her life!
i hate hearing "i have the right to...." yes, i support "rights" and i am liberal but thats not a license for us to be violent! If you do not want a child, then take steps so that that child doesnt get concieved in the first place. Why make someone else pay for your irresponsiility and carelssness? |
i hate hearing "is it becos he/she told you". Not only in this case but other cases. Are we trying to give "reasons" why we should pretend issues like this are not worth serious thinking? DONT GET ME WRONG! I do not think less of any lady/guy who has done one or two things in the past. My advice op: take her to the hospital, do a test and make your decision what ever it is. If you chose to stay, its perfectly ok. And if not, well, i dont know. But dont think less of the lady. |
ifihearam: you need deliverancethats a lie he isnt possesed |
there was this time, i told my friend i have crush on this lady. He said its ok that i should go for her. But when i told him she is a model, he just laughed and said "that one is too big". As a man with ego, i interupted and said, "hey! what do you mean". So i'm asking, is it just the plain truth that some ladies are higher than some of us guys, or are we the ones who are just not accepting it? If the answer is yes, then, what kind of ladies are higher than some of us? Also for ladies, do discussions like the one i had with my friend take place among you people too? Have you ever thought or felt a guy is above you, or you are the ones who just not accepting it? |
op it is absolutely false! Today, it is igala. Tomorrow, idoma. Another day, it is lagos. Yet another day, it will be ibibio, jukun, ebira, tiv, chamba etc. If not becos you have problems with the hausas, you would have claimed them. No attack meant, but let us forget any link. We are different people, preiod! BTW, have you heard about the kwararafa kingdom? Google it if your ans is no. Thats where the igalas, idoma, jukun and chamba belong |
i have a young sister. She will be 13 in sept but she has out grown her age. She is even taller than me! The problem is, she is becoming disrespectful to every one including the very me she use to not only respect, but also cannot look in the eye. I do tell myself that she is only undergoing what is normal. I have tried talking to her, but the situation is getting worse. Just this morning, she wanted to pass where my younger brother was sweeping. The boy refused saying she would carry dirts back to where he had swept. Before you know it, she started raining insult on him even though he is older. I told her to use an alternative route but she ignored my advice and forced her way through. She finished what she was doing and still want to pass the same place again. I go so angry but did not touch her thats becos i dont believe in beating children. My concern is, it is getting out of hand with the civil way i going about it. She may do it ouside and get beaten up. What do i do? |
you are right! The first time i entered mina, i was overwhelmed by its orderliness. The roads are more spacious, people are more patient than people in eastern and wester cities. Crime is less frequent in the north. Yes it is true! No wonder, most nigerians who traffic drugs are not the Dantsoho, sanni, maitama, gyan, kukah, Alechenu, Gubjir, Terso, Panyi, Onoja, Ekele etc. They are the Ikechukwu, Ogbonna, finecountry, Emeka, etc. Their cities are neater. Northerners are more generous than people in the south. |
facebook makes you feel part of a community and a world. Not like twitter that is soo selfish. I personally think it should only be used by celebs and no one else. It can make one begin to have issues with self worth. When you follow so many people and not so many people following you, i could be a serious problem. FB is a lot easier to use. You can do more with FB than with twitter. |
which do you prefer, twitter or facebook? Tell us why. For me, i dont like twitter. Ulike facebook, if your are following anyone on twitter, that person doesnt automatically follow you. I just hat it! Yes call me what ever you want to call me. |
there are gay people in islam and other religions. The reason you dont hear them is that in their part of the world, people are not as free as the christian and atheist west. |
Omolola1: If JW's do not believe in new year, then they shouldn't observe the public holidays, dec 25_26 and Jan 1. They shouldn't even accept christmas bonuses that would be given to them at work.if they do not want to celebrate any thing its their choice. What i dont like about them is their attempt to force others to take their idea which is fueled by misinterpretations, misconceptions, misinformation, hatred and bigotry. |
jawkid:when i read the scripture, i can see a celebration. "suddenly, angels appeared from heaven singing glory to god in the highest and peace on earth to people of good will" (luke 2:13-14). So, on every 25th december when christians gather to praise god for the gift of a savior, be sure that God puts on his dancing shoes and he rejoices with them |
ijawkid: Hmmmm...please read the account of Jesus' birth and answer these questions and find out if this is what the scriptures teachif all the excesses is what you are worried about, why dont you separate them from the revelation itself? A revelation which marks THE BEGINING OF FUFILMENT OF GODS PROMISE TO MEN. A revelation of hope. For bible says "today, unto you a savior is born" (luke 2:11). For me, the fact that a savior is born to me is some thing to celebrate. It means no more devil domination. No more sickness etc |
DANILSA: how he died for our sins and how we can remember his death.how he died for your sins and how you can remember him is what comes to heart when you read the birth of jesus in the bible? I think any one who reads my question and sees this your answer can definitely know what you are trying to do. But lets take your reply as an answer. So you dont think that "how he died for your sins and how you can remember him, if thats what the spirit tells you when you read those passages, is worth celebrating. |
whats pegan about xmas? Do people worship demons on these days? Is the account of the nativity of the lord not recorded in the bible |
one of the reasons god created day an night is do that the day can "show time for religious festivals" these are not my words but the word of god in genesis when he was creating the world. So for any one to come up and tell me not to celebrate any religious festival is totally out of what god wants. |
i am still asking withnesses. What comes to your heart each time you read the biblical passages narrating the birth of jesus? What does the HOLY SPIRIT (if you believe and reverence him at all) tell you when you reas the story of the birth of jesus in the bible. |
JWs when you read the stroy of the birth of jesus in mattew and luke, what come to your mind? What does the holy spirit (if you believe in him and reverence hm) minister to you as you study the birth of jesus (the begining of the fufilment of Gods promise to mankind) as reported in mattew and luke? I want you all to reply this post god bless you |
ijawkid: What info??.............which of the info??....that Jesus commemorated his own birthday or what??..........no body is commerorating any BIRTHDAY. Get that straight! |
ijawkid: You errr....why dont you just find out. Information is soo soo availiable. |
@adesiji, show me where any christian who does xmas say he is celebrating the BIRTHDAY of jesus? Just show me. and i promise you, you will never find. Secondly dont go about quoting people whos authority is not proven and much less an editor of "IMPERIAL" bible. You need to look at that word imperial and see where you fault is. |
