This is the best phone i have ever used, trust me the pictures from this phone are clearer/sharper than those from my digital camera at times.
I also loaded nokia maps for nigeria recently
My problem now is i would like to change the phone casing, not sure if its somethin i can do myself, went to nokia service center in v.i and was told it would cost N6500 for the front casing alone . was also told it would take 5 workin days, whaaaaaaaat!

@Mercy: You would have to visit hitv website regularly as they do not have the monthly tv guide dstv subscribers enjoy.
Its a shame really because for me when i was still a hitv subscriber i always had to check their website to find out when matches would be played! Imagine the stress Add to this the lack of functionality on the service (e.g no Program reminders; no movie information etc)

From what I heard, i don't think the la liga would be beamed at all this coming season.

To me, i feel Hitv is not yet matured enough to handle pay-TV business in nigeria. I think they should have tried to hold on to the la liga right instead of buying right for champions league.

I say this because, the champions league is a  bi-weekly game while the la liga is weekly. The la liga is going to be very interesting this coming season with the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka, etc and it would enable more intending customer to actually patronise them.

@femo7 hitv has lost la liga rights for 09/10 to DSTV. They have also lost one subscriber because i'm going for my dstv decoder next month. I cant afford to miss la liga as a r. madrid fan!

This is my honest opinion, I only bought HITV because of La Liga (although i watch the major EPL matches) and i didnt renew my subscription having known there would really be nothing to watch (Amuludun? HiMix? HiLIfe? Biscon? HiKids) aww please give me a break!
I've been following this forum closely, to get the latest news ahead of my next renewal but having just read that HITV has lost La Liga rights, I hereby announce my divorce with HITV, I'll get the DSTV package ASAP and watch La Liga matches at viewing centers or on the INTERNET!

1st item, tithe(if u're a christian)
2nd item, fixed savings amount (this must be untouchable n must be set aside once ur salary/earnins are received)
3rd item, (stuff like feedin+transport)

This works for me!

Note that i've been rescanning since monday all to no avail

But guess what?
This morning i took out the smartcard completely and turned on the decoder, i saw the same 'scrambled message screen'
so i turned off the system and inserted the smartcard again, and voila 'all channels are back on'

i currently have 42 channels, 27(11900+12130) and 15(11747) and i didnt bother deleting any of them.

thanks for the quick response. I have checked the teller. It is with me right now and it is very correct. The problem is I lost connection before i was due number 1. This made me think hitv had made a mistake so i counted my losses and went to renew even though i still had air time and uptill now i'm still disconnected. Its really frustrating i can tell you. Now i'm worried the problem may even be with the decoder. Each time i turn it on it automatically scans all the channels again and i have to click save.
Please help if you can.

@ urfriend, I have been following your comments on other threads and would like to make a complaint here
I paid in at GTB on monday for subscription renewal and since then i am yet to be reconnected. All i see is 'scrambled channel'.
What could be the problem? I have upgraded my software using the files downloaded from your website.
This is four days after and i have tried all your customer lines all to no avail.

Casillas is the best without a doubt, italian league play defensive, so keepers are rarely tested. We all know Chelsea's backline is okay so cech is rarely tested. But La Liga, even the best defenders fail there becos of the skill level and attacking flair of the players, casillas is more than a goalkeeper, he single handedly wins games for Madrid!
