seankay: I would get a completely different reply if you painstakingly read and understood my post.
I never underestimated the impact of lighting. I'm glad you mentioned that there are researchers trying to demystify lightening. Trust me at least 95% of them are not Africans. Africans will rather pray to God to stop the work of the devil.
A liberated and awoken Africa will rule the world. My brother don't stress yourself too much, you have made your point. The latest trend now is, when you tell a black man how far behind he is compared to other race they will tag it "an inferiority complex bla bla". Black man has refused to tell himself the truth. How then can they solve their problems? Imagine someone talking about hurricane in America when even with all the equipment available (probably gotten from Whiteman), his country is still in black out in 21st century. |

senatordave1: Thank you for this sir.you have laid this issue to rest.johnnyessence, waveman, farah, aideed and esseite please read this guy's submissions and take note.anything that has to do with election ordering, sequence, timetable, conduct, declaration of election results, registration of political parties, whether the nass or governorship or presidential elections are coming first or last or middle or are the exclusively and solely the duty of inec as vested by the constitution.the electoral act which nass amended to reorder the polls is inferior to the constitution.any reason you have to justify the reordering be it strengthening democracy, stopping bandwagon effect or removing buhari remains your personal opinion and cannot supercede the constitution.lets not overflog or drag this issue anymore.the only way is for nass to amend the constitution or the supreme court to set a precedence. You are still getting it wrong. NASS is not contesting the date of election with INEC, they only trying to pass a bill that will remove that power from INEC. There no need of whatever court in this case. Supreme Court will come in only when there is something to contest. Right now there is nothing to contest. |
Politics › Re: INEC Stands By 2019 Election Timetable — Prof. Yakubu by Gucciboss: 2:38pm On Feb 27, 2018 |
senatordave1: It will not stand until backed by a constitutional amendment or court order You are wrong. Even the INEC chairman stated that they are change the date if there if required. Go back and read the news again. Once the bill is passed, INEC has no choice than to obey. A bill when passed, is also a law. It mustn't be constitutional amendment. |

adanny01: They cant undo the constitution.
They can do anything, except the constitution.
Eg, they can make a law saying all new born babies should be killed.
This law will be invalid because right to life is in the constitution so they cannot remove it.
Their laws must not contradict anything in the constitution.
I hope you get the point You don't know what you are saying. As long as the legislative arm has the constitutional power to amend the constitution, they can do and undo. Get your fact right Where did I say that they can undue constitution? |
Politics › Re: 2019: Reordering Of Election Illegal - Falana Tells NASS by Gucciboss: 6:53pm On Feb 24, 2018 |
freshboi88: Yeah it is but an almost impossible task cos it will have to involve 36 houses of assembly, both upper n lower chambers of the nass......2/3 majority.... I'm only arguing Legislature vs judiciary vs executive. I'm not talking about internal crisis in legislative arm. As long as democracy is concerned, legislative arm has no rival. They can do and undo.(of course only when they are in unity) The case here is more of executive vs Legislature. I'm not delving into their individual's internal dynamics. |
Politics › Re: 2019: Reordering Of Election Illegal - Falana Tells NASS by Gucciboss: 6:45pm On Feb 24, 2018 |
freshboi88: The judiciary has the final say oga...they CNT just change NY law....d supreme court is the final say The law guiding supreme Court can be changed by the legislative arm of government too. Remember that they have the power to amend the constitution. Legislature is a very powerful arm of government in ideal democracy. |

Have you bothered to read the said document? 2020 is two years from now. What indices are on ground currently to even justify the presence of any vision? |
Politics › Re: There was a dream; What Happened To Vision 20:2020? by Gucciboss: 7:53pm On Feb 23, 2018 |
My undergraduate degree project was on the Vision 20:2020. It remains a wonderful guideline adopted by those who knew nothing about dream and what it takes to achieve drastic economic development. None of the basic provisions of that document have been achieved. Nigerian ruling class remains a disgrace and assault to whatever elite all over sane world represent.
Sometimes I feel like strangulating all these leaders. How can a state filled with alot of educated individuals not been able to fashion out the right leadership for its own advancement? |
