I like to know which ethnic group he offended by that. |

What has style of dressing got to do with ability to govern? Some of the most useless leaders we had in Nigeria came looking all slick and classy whereas they had nothing upstairs If you are looking for an executive level position in a company and you come to the interview dressed like a motor park tout you will be judged by it and most certainly not get the position. There is time and place for everything. |

Shayetet13: Now that sense have fallen small on you. Nigeria did not start with Buhari Obviously. But break the different administrations down as a singular unit and do impact analysis using key impact indicators. If you are sincere to yourself, though i dont expect you to be, you will notice that the Buhari administration is the worst of them all. The reason i reminded you that Nigeria did not start in 16 years, is so as to remind you that Buhari had in the past also held crucial leadership positions in this country. Buhari administration is the worst of all because it was during his time that: $1.3 billions Malabu oil bribe was shared. It was during him time Dasuki got another $1.0 billion out of the treasury and shared. It was under him a Nigerian aircraft was arrested in South Africa loaded with dollars. It was under him Stella Odua spent millions to buy BMWs contracted out to coscharis who paid zero duty on the importation. It was also under Buhari that the security of our coastal waters and pipelines was contracted out to a former militant. The list is endless but in conclusion Buhari is indeed the worst of all. |

Riversides2003: Yorubas shouldn’t be selfish, how can we be talking about a Yoruba presidency in 2023,so what happens to the igbo?am a Yoruba but I think it’s time for the Igbos also to have a shot if truly it’s one Nigeria as we preach. If they cannot be allowed to rule they should let them have their Biafra in peace instead abi. Igbos are not well represented in the APC. PDP is their home they should be contended with the fact that Obi will succeed Atiku. |

deji17: This is a battle between PDP and APC. Igbos have found a home in PDP and they believe they have a stake in it, while Yorubas on the other hand believe that APC is their baby that they must nurse and guard jealously. No hard feelings. May the best party wiins. This is just the logic. If the ibos are mainly in the PDP why do they care about which candidates the APC wants to support in the future? |

Nigeria, as a country never started in the last 16 years. Nigeria is not 16 years old. If you can understand this and its implications, maybe sense will fall on you Okay, Nigeria started with the Buhari administration. I bet too much sense fell on you and crushed your brain. |

Na wa o, you guys are neither here or there, odikwa risky Chest beating and reality on the ground are two different things. Yorubas actually travel a lot. Mabe not to iboland though. Politics › Re: Prof Yemi Osinbajo Should Resign by Guestlander: 3:58pm On Dec 23, 2018 |
franchasng: so Yorubas only feel safe in Nigeria only in Yoruba land
If that's the case, then it says a lot.
See bros, I have a handful of Yorubas, if not hundreds of them as close pals and associates so I know how an average Yoruba man reasons because I schooled and served in Yoruba land, worked in Yoruba land with lots of Yoruba people, so I know better.
A close Yoruba friend who works with NNPC and got posted to Kaduna in 2014 was telling me recently that we Igbos no be am. That we Igbos are the same people developing the north; he mentioned Kaduna and Kano, that I should go and see what my brothers are building there and establishing big companies there as if its our land and that yet we keep saying we want Biafra that what are we going to do to those big houses, companies and investments we have in the north if Nigeria divides
That some of his Igbo colleagues are already buying lands, building houses in Kaduna and Kano, some planning to open filling station, that God forbid he does that in the north. That the only place that he can own a big property outside Yoruba land is abroad like UK or US.
This is how an average Yoruba man reasons and u don't need any gathering or meeting of Yorubas to decide it, that's how Yorubas reason and u know it bro, no need denying the obvious fact we all see everyday.
Igbos have liberal mind, Yorubas just feel that because of their role against Igbos/Biafra during civil war, that Igbos will one day retaliate, for this, they keep sabotaging any Igbo effort which leads to hatred and political disagreements between the two tribes You are only deceiving yourself. If you know anywhere on this planet where you will find ibos and Yorubas are not there please let me know. The reason Yorubas are not rushing to the east is the same reason ibos themselves are rushing out of the place. |

Shayetet13: Nigerians are watching! While other tribes are going to vote out Buhari cos of incompetence, you want to vote Buhari cos of your son(whom the administration have stifled), based on tribalism and cos you have an eye on 2023. When you come back to shout southern unity, just like you did last year when Buhari was brutalising Tinubu, remember that the SS/SE are watching. Incompetence is the new name for not opening the treasury for wholesale looting. We have seen what the APC was able to achieve in 3 years while some people spent 16 years with only stories of looted billions to show for it. |
Politics › Re: Prof Yemi Osinbajo Should Resign by Guestlander: 3:31pm On Dec 23, 2018 |
franchasng: You Yorubas claim Igbos hate you but indices always show that Yorubas are the ones who hate Igbos.
Igbos supported Obasanjo and I know Obasanjo is an Igbo man right
Igbos have been supporting Osinbajo and been speaking good of him as against Buhari not until recently when Osinbajo joined the bad gangs playing tribal politics.
Even IPOB prefer Osinbajo to Buhari and Igbos kept saying why didn't APC field Osinbajo instead of Buhari, and you claim Igbos hate Yoruba.
Generally, majority of non-Lagosians and non-Yorubas living in Lagos don't like Tinubu because of his excessive influence on every Lagos governor since 2007, it has nothing to do with hate or whatever.
It is Yorubas that out of fear of their role against Igbos during the civil war that are still scared that Igbos will one day fight them back that are peddling hatred, reason Yorubas are usually scared of going to Southeast to live even when they get better job offers in the east, and when they live there at all, they will never build a big house or own big property there out of fear of what they have in mind but Igbos have clear heart, and don't keep malice, even after fighting with u, they will still come and live and laugh with u freely and even join in developing your region without having any fear.
Igbos are the bridge holding Nigeria together, they are the only tribe that buy land and build mansions and own big companies and businesses on every region of Nigeria without fear.
Yoruba man is scared of owning big properties in the north, scared of owning it in southeast or south south, Yorubas are only happy and willing to build and own businesses and companies in Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta, never outside their region which shows clear sign of tribalistic and cunning nature, you know he truth but I know as always, u and your likes won't admit the truth, so I expect denials and claims without proves like I backed mine with proves This post makes me laugh. Do you think there's a Yoruba general assembly where we gather to take a decision on where to settle or where to invest? People generally go to where they feel safe, where they feel their family and business will prosper. It is an individual decision. If Nigerians are not settling in the east it must be for other reasons you have chosen to ignore. By the way, Igbos are not even staying in the east why should Yorubas head there? |

Oshigun: @OP.
You have some good points and I endorse your call for Igbos to look inwards towards the SE because being one of the most industrious ethnic groups in Africa means it is arrant stupidity for you guys not to develop the SE optimally to then be dragging the ancestral homes of others with the indigenes there.
Britons can buy retirement homes in the Algarve in Spain and in quaint Villages in France to the extent those feel like outposts of the UK as I am sure Amuwo Odofin in Lagos feels to some igbos. Yet that development has not come at the detriment of developing London or other UK towns only for Britons to then brag ungraciously of owning/developing this and that.
You must remember Nigerian ethnic groups relate to each other much like nations do worldwide because of different cultural, linguistic and ethnic differences that produces a lack of homogeneity we cannot bridge overnight and must work to improve.
Going up and down claiming to own this and that will therefore not be received well merely because we are all Nigerians when our real differences and unresolved issues make this a poorly accepted concept in practice on the ground.
With your prediction of economic woe under Buhari post 2019, I don't agree . We are not in control of all indices of economic growth and progress but with hardwork, and some luck with global conditions favouring us, recovery can be attained to then pave way for a boom period of growth.
The claim of economic incompetence by Buhari is just ignorance because PMB has many intelligent and very competent economic advisors who will be guiding him. What they cannot do is defy oil price crash, with the Nigerian economy mainly dependent on that, or repair damage of 16 long years of PDP misrule in 3.5 years.
You should tell us how long it took many western nation to come out of the credit-crunch recession of 2005-2006 with the likes of Greece still struggling with serious unemployment and other woes till today. Nigeria , unlike many other nations, essentially had no buffers to shield it from the economic downturn that began as soon as PMB took over.
It has to be all hands on deck and not ignorant blame game over inevitable economic downturn this government did not cause, could not avoid and does not have the tools to liberate Nigeria from as quickly as economic novices are postulating it can/should. Spot on analysis. |
