I am always amused by their infantile attempts at dividing Yoruba on religion lines. This is something that is just not appealing to most Yoruba.

At that point in time nobody knew what either of them would become in the society. They were just young people trying to study and enjoy themselves. I'm sure they were much younger than your present age.

Who said Achebe and Soyinka should have followed the same path? Well, in hindsight he made the right choices and got a Nobel for it.
