gaby: Anyone who truly has a functional grey matter enclosed within his/her skull shouldn't have to wait for chatgpt to convince them of this fact.
How does one rule a democratic and ethnically/religious/culturally diverse country as Nigeria without acceptance or getting voted for by a good percentage of citizens resident at the center that seeks/proposes to unify the individual states?
The slogan/nickname for FCT is "the center of unity" for a reason and the authors of that particular phrase in the constitution or electoral act sneaked it in there for a reason.
FCT is the melting pot of the nation and whoever seeks to Preside over the nation needs to appear to have gained a good percentage of acceptability from this "mini Nigeria" except under military rule.
The melting pot/mini Nigeria status was what attracted many to Lagos when it was still the Capital and up until today bar this special 25% status. The dumbest comment of all. Lagos is by far more diverse than Abuja, why don't you just conduct the election in Lagos? The notion that a vote casted in Abuja is more important than a vote casted in some obscure village in Ekiti is not only ridiculous but an assault on the fundamental rights of Nigerians not living in Abuja. |

Phantom233: that one just went straight to comment section without reading the news to see that it's in Obi's favor. You have to be an incurable optimist to think this AI response is going to help Obi in any way. Abuja though not a state is to be treated like another state, end of story. You are indeed free to take AI to court if you disagree. |

OneCandleAway: We don't always have comparative advantage in the production of some food items. It's not just land alone. Ability to deal with natural disaster also counts. Some months ago someone complained about flood destroying acres of rice farmland. Herdsmen destroying plantain farmlands, e.t.c
If other countries take security serious and do not let terrotits hinder their farmers from farming then they have better advantage over us. Not true, you only need to see what arid countries like Egypt and Israel are doing with agriculture to see how far we are lagging behind in probably the most important factor in the development of our country. Herdsmen and erosion problems are issues we can deal with easily unlike unfavorable climate on which we have little control. Can we say there are no security issues in Egypt and Israel are they dealing with it? Same way we have to deal with security or technological or ecological issues we may have in order to do whatever we need to do in order to feed ourselves. To do this we need money, one of the reasons why subsidizing petrol consumption to trillions of naira is a very dumb strategy. |

Agriculture with herdsmen everywhere Sharrap there and gettat!!!! So, you need big cars you cannot afford to mitigate against bad roads? Many of you need psychological evaluation. You are not even fit to criticize the government. Agriculture with herdsmen? Then wait for Tinubu to feed you and your family. Better still, wait for manna to drop from heaven. |

Pull out your world Atlaas and see how much God has blessed Nigeria over many other countries. There's nothing we eat in Nigeria that we cannot produce ten fold. A small fraction of the money wasted on fuelling your SUVs if diverted to agriculture will produce enough food for all Nigerians in the short run. OneCandleAway: Tinubu doesn't know power is gradually shifting to the people. He thinks its still tge elites that hold power hence the elites are his primary structure while obi connected with the people. Atiku in-between.
If he has taken strict measures to benefit the masses he won't be here. Ok, if you remove fuel subsidy, don't remove education subsidy at the moment. Look for ways to make mass transport buses running on CNG available. At least deal with the issue of cheap transportation first. Open border to some food items to beat down the price a bit while go hard on terrorist so farmers can farm in peace. Then later you can close the border to food items when we have proven to be able to produce enough for ourselves. You can't just release all these policies taxing the masses at once while the political class enjoys.
If a Senator can be receiving over 600,000 for wardrobe allowance, then a student shouldn't have to pay high tuition fees for education. What are the things we eat in Nigeria that we cannot produce by ourselves despite having fertile land and water sources in abundance? This is how Nigerians got comfortable with importation of refined petroleum products despite being one of the largest oil exporters in the world. Many things are wrong with the Nigerian economy we need a bold and focused leader like Tinubu to refocus and reposition the economy to work for all Nigerians. |

Cantonese: Old wine in new skin. The same group that worked with Buhari, have now joined BAT to ask Nigerians to be patient, while BAT repairs the damages done by them, while serving with Buhari until a few weeks ago.
Notice that the shameless leaders no longer tell Nigerians that GEJ/PDP destroyed Nigeria. Because Nigerians quickly forget and support their slave masters, they have stylishly removed themselves from their failure with the Buhari government, while hustling for positions with BAT.
I pity Nigerians who think that it will get better with APC. Anyway suffer now, enjoy tomorrow, as they say. Una don suffer eight years of Buhari, now to suffer addition with BAT. The campaigns are over. We have a new president and a new government. You have to be Nostradamus to tell us or perhaps a garden variety sophist to tell us what tomorrow may bring. |

Muhammadu Buhari built second Niger bridge for them, something no leader has ever done, yet they still hate and curse him everyday.
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa as prime minister gave them all the juicy and powerful positions in his government and the only way they paid him back was to humiliate and murder him in the worst way possible
There is absolutely nothing that President Tinubu can do to remove the hate they have for him. Tinubu would still be hated and cursed even if he built a highway to heaven for the South East They have been busy trying to drive a false narrative using the fuel subsidy, the same subsidy Obi promised to remove on day one!
