Nairaland General › Re: Breaking: Palm Tree Catches Fire After Lightning Strikes At Ijoko Ogun State by Guestlander: 8:44pm On Jun 11, 2017
It is a perfectly normal natural phenomenon. The lightening struck the tallest object in the vicinity, end of story.
Soon you will start hearing about how some evil spirits have a whole estate built in the tree.

You still don't seem to get it bro. I think it's completely politically unhealthy to assume that the North loves the Yorubas and hates the Igbos and so wants the Igbos to leave Nigeria and form their own country. Implicitly, that has been the cry of the Igbos since time imemorial. Now they would rather help the Igbos. Is that how generous they've become?

This is all politics bro. Believe me it's all politics. Even if it doesn't degenerate to coup, it's all politics. And my point is... while we all jostle over the threat and blame IPOB and Co, let's be ready for a shocker (especially when you think of the ripple effect of that threat) or begin to develop plan B
Nobody is talking about love or hate here. You need to go back and read the reasons why they gave the quit notice. At no point was Buhari or Osinbajo mentioned, why are you now trying to suggest it has anything to do with them.
There's no reason to play a clairvoyant here, the facts are what they are.

So all the idiotic hate speeches by the albino on his radio was what? Rantings of a slowpoke? When he asked for pastor Kumuyi to be killed in aba, what was that? An easter day message?

I laugh in biabia. I never knew you guys could become so civil in so short a time. What's responsible for the change? A speech by one kunu drinking mallam? cheesy

Abeg let the referendum start biko
All the rants about making Nigeria worse than Somalia was not about war but peace.
I can't believe a few Aboki boys can whip ipobs into line with only a press release.

The best thread i have seen in ages on NL.

I never knew i was the only one seeing this possible trend.

The north has never been known to do favors for Ibos so why the sudden change in character.

Both the north and ibos stand to loose as a result of this ultimatum: so why will the north champion what they know will not favor them.

The northern born-to-rule mentality is real, disregard it at your own peril.

What will happen if they succeed with their suspected plan to stop the VP from becoming president? Who will stop them or what will be done?

Regarding the hate trend on NL
I think it will increase traffic and user activity for the blog. In the end its all about business. NL is not an NGO
This is absolutely not about the vice president. This line of reasoning is just a lame attempt to drag Yoruba into the unfolding crisis. The notion that this is about the presidency is just as ridiculous as those who said the January 1966 coup was carried out to make Awolowo the prime minister.
The quit notice is absolutely not about Osinbajo

You must be someone from that former time. I called you dense for a reason.

This is a simple question. Why are you concerned about what is happening East of the River Niger?
You don't have to explain yourself bro, I know what you are all about.
East of river Niger is still part of Nigeria. Only God knows how many buses will cross that river Niger to my part of the country today and they are not en route to Sudan, therefore I'm a concerned party.

And I will not allow some Yoruba to dictate to me where my region starts and where it ends.

I am growing tired of your type meddling in Eastern affairs
A leopard never changes its spots. You are still the same old EzeUche. If Nigeria is going to break up every tribe or sub tribe of whatever classification will be allowed to choose and speak for themselves.
Why do you want to leave Nigeria in order to go and re-create a mini Nigeria in Biafra.
When cornered you quickly reach for your arsenal of insults. SMH.

The Yoruba always concern themselves with the regions of others.

Many of them have never left Lagos and then they come online to tell us who is south south and who is not or who is Igbo or who is not.
Region of others! Are you serious? Why don't you simply stay within the core 5 igbo states if you are not concerned with the region of others?

I have yet to hear the Anioma. Igbo say that.

Or Eche, or Egbema, or Ekpeye etc. So what SS Igbo group has denied that they do not want Biafra?

Are you talking about the non Igbo south south?
I'm talking of all non igbo who were part of the defunct Biafra.

We've heard from the leaders of Ijaw, Itshekiri and few others that they don't want to be part of Biafra? Did I mention anywhere that the SS is a tribe?

And does this minority think our Igbo brothers and sisters in the south south would want to stay in Nigeria?

I am getting tired of groups trying to confine the Igbos to just the southeast.

When the time is right we will claim every meter of Igboland.
The SS are saying they don't want to be part of Biafra, are you going to force them and if so, aren't you going to create the same scenario you are running away from in Nigeria?

Objectivity is a choice; no one is born with it. I still believe you have a good chance to learn how to be objective in reasoning.

Let me help you, first you must ask yourself; what if I was born in the tribe of my enemy? Will I hate myself? The answer to this question is NO!

If you perform this test on yourself and be honest about it the whole time....it holds the key to your first objective reasoning in your entire life.

Get back to me so I know how it went....
One luv bro!
What you are doing is mere extrapolation and conjectures based on your imagination. This is the forte of conspiracy theorists, no serious political analyst will reason like that.
What is the mumbo-jumbo about being born in the tribe of your enemy? Are people born with vendetta in their hearts?

EkoErrands:
I was about posting a similar conspiracy theory on my Facebook wall but changed my mind. I'm Igbo but an objective one. I see beyond the horizon; something only possible for an objective minded person.

First things first! Anything the North does, there must be an Agenda behind it. Also anything Muslims do always have an agenda behind it. Don't ever take Muslims actions or inactions as ordinary. You may not see the effect immediately but after many years even thousands of years. Utterances made by Mohammed still shapes nations till this day. The north never wants a Christian to rule over them...where do you think this is coming from? Mohammed's lips of course.

I knew 100% that the Kaduna declaration would fool 180 million people ....only a few like the op and myself and any other critical thinker will see through the smoke screen. The real target here is Osinbanjo. The Yoruba's still don't know just how much these guys don't want the VP to take over. They think its negotiable. Far from it. Very far! Am glad I'm not the only one thinking this way.

The last thing the North wants is for Biafra to go....so are u now saying a bunch of half educated youths will give Biafra their wish on a plater of gold. Think well!

By the time the real motive manifests ...the west will be caught unawares. My opinion though!
Hogwash! This has nothing to do with the VP. What then is going to happen if Biafrans leave the north and relocate back to the east?
The only mind game here is being played by the people shouting biafra or death and when the chance presents itself to get biafra they don't want to leave.

The Hausa and Yoruba will not know how ineffective their threat is until after October.
The only people that has the courage to carry out their threat in this country is the Igbo.
The igbo's doesn't make empty thread. FACT

Nnamdi Kanu was until recently an advocate for a peaceful and united Nigeria.
His grouse with Nigeria is not unconnected with Jonathan's loss at the polls. Why was he especially bitter against Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani and not the Nigerian state.

The hatred from these people is the type a psychological study should be carried out to investigate.

The world is seeing how they post pictures of starving Igbo children from the civil war to taunt Igbos. Northerners have never done that...

I remember on this same NL years ago Yoruba posters celebrating boko haram attacks on Igbos. Some said it was a Hausa way of driving Igbos from the north.
You are completely right but this was in retaliation. Igbos degraded this website I can tell you that. Most of the earlier Yoruba posters here were more interested in intellectual political debate not bigotry.

Looking for the 'index' post is a silly and futile venture.

The unbiased fact remains both Yorubas and Igbos and yes Hausas contributed to the current situation. As early as 2008 when i first joined it was more of Yorubas/Igbos against Hausa, and that pitted the likes of AloyEmeka (and the other very controversial lady - cant recall her name now) against the like of McUsman, Muza, and of course, OP, etc. Those who really contributed to Igbo vs Yoruba the likes of Osisi (number 1) Ilekeh, Dayokanu, Dede1, Ezeuche, etc. Check thier posts you'll see.
Thank you for reminding us of Aloy Emeka. Even he/she was tame compared to EzeUche. The seed they planted on Nairaland those days thrived and harvest time is knocking.

You are lying, I was probably on this website before you and I saw everything unfold. For a very long time Yoruba posters ignored the constant abuse from igbo posters before they started to retaliate.
