Nigeria on the other hand finds it easier to rather support Biya and cut off ambazonia from any hope of Independence.
It would make things easier on the home front with respect to kanu.

Though the better thing for Nigeria on the long run would be to support ambazonia covertly in the hope of integrating them into the Nigeria Homeland as semi autonomous state after Nnamdi Azikiwe lost that territory in the 50s.

They want Nigerian support for freedom from Cameroon.
Nigeria can use that.

Support them to weaken Cameroon and help them to make that region ungovernable, establish pro-Nigeria leaders in the ambazonia structure through bribes and landed properties in Nigeria, and then when the time is right, annex it in a Crimea style format..

That is exactly what Putin did in Crimea.

Nigeria can use the "restoration of law and order" as an excuse to move into the place and station troops permanently there.
